Spirit is the second studio album by singer/songwriterJewel, released in 1998 by Atlantic. Singles include "Hands", "Down So Long," and a newly recorded version of "Jupiter," followed by a remix of "What's Simple Is True" to promote Jewel's debut film Ride with the Devil. In addition, a one track CD containing a live version of "Life Uncommon" was released to music stores in hopes to raise money and awareness for Habitat for Humanity.
Spirit debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 with 368,000 copies sold in its first week. It eventually sold 3.7 million units in the U.S.
Spirit is This Condition's third EP, a five-track album recorded in April 2010. It was released on July 27, 2010 through online retailers and digital music stores (iTunes), as well as a physical release through the band's online merch store. Recorded in Boonton, NJ's The Pilot Studio with producer Rob Freeman, whom the band had worked with on three singles in 2009, the album features five new tracks, including "Go" and "Stay Right Here".
The Pokémon(ポケモン,Pokemon) franchise has 721 (as of the release of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire) distinctive fictional species classified as the titular Pokémon. This is a selected listing of 50 of the Pokémon species, originally found in the Red and Green versions, arranged as they are in the main game series' National Pokédex.
Meowth
Meowth(ニャース,Nyāsu, Nyarth), known as the ScratchCat Pokémon, has a distinctly feline appearance, resembling a small housecat. It has cream-colored fur, which turns brown at its paws and tail tip. Its oval-shaped head features prominent whiskers, black-and-brown ears, and a koban, a gold oval coin (also known as "charm") embedded in its forehead. Meowth are valued for their ability to collect coins using their signature move, "Pay Day", as it is the only Pokémon that learns it. Meowth's coloration, its love of coins, and its charm indicate that Meowth is based on the Japanese Maneki Neko, a cat-shaped figurine that is said to bring good luck and money to its owner. Aspects of Meowth were drawn from a Japanese myth dealing with the true value of money, in which a cat has money on its head but does not realize it.

10 Things You Might Not Know About Saints
The word Saint often brings to mind a quiet voice and piously folded hands. But cracking open a ‘Lives of the Saints’ book can actually be similar to reading superhero yearbook. Here are 10 Things You Might Not Know About Saints:
1. You’ve heard of the Headless Horseman, but how about the Headless Preacher? In the 3rd Century, St. Denis cheesed off the wrong local pagans who beheaded him. To their surprise, he picked up his head and walked 6 miles away, preaching the gospel the whole way.
2. This monk took the commandment to ‘subdue the earth’ very seriously. St. Columbanus commanded a dozen hungry wolves to leave him alone, kicked a bear out of a cave he wanted to pray in, and asked another bear to leave behind a deer-carcass he needed the leather for new shoes.
3. When you’re the 1...

"She's the most dangerous woman in America!", they said
I see her marching down the street with her umbrella in her hand
I can hear her still at Ludlow where the miners made a stand
And she says: "John D. will you kindly tell to me
How could you let your troopers lay them thirteen children down?"
In the horrors of West Virginia and in Colorado too
Mother Jones and her miners they never could subdue
And the men they fought and died in their tents and shanty towns
And the women stood like a wall of steel that nothing could batter down
Mother Jones the miners' angel must be treated with respect
She's an old-fashioned lady and you never would suspect
That this gown and this bonnet would fill the rich man full of dread
"She's the most dangerous woman in America!", they said
"And it's now for the evils of child labour", says she
And the march of the mill children took place in nineteen three
From Philadelphia to New York and she says: "I'm going to show
Wall Street the flesh and blood they squeeze to make their dough"
When she died in 1930 O the sadness was profound
And they laid her to rest in a Union burial ground
And she lies in Mount Olive where the midnight wind it moans
"Stand up for the Union!", cries the spirit of Mother Jones
The rich man and his police and his pulpit and his press
Got away with murder then they'd get away with it yet
But we'll form a mighty union and we won't be overthrown
And we never will forget the spirit of Mother Jones

The word Saint often brings to mind a quiet voice and piously folded hands. But cracking open a ‘Lives of the Saints’ book can actually be similar to reading superhero yearbook. Here are 10 Things You Might Not Know About Saints:

3. When you’re the 13th child born, but 1st to survive, chances are your life is going to be extraordinary. St. Mariam of Jesus Crucified is a lived in Palestine during the late 1800’s. She had a Cinderella type story after her parents died and she herself was beaten and left for dead. According to her bio ‘A nun dressed in blue picked her up, stitched her throat wound, took her to an unknown Grotto and nursed her back to health with angels, saints, her deceased parents.’ Who knew heaven had an Emergency Room?
4. St. Olaf was a real-life Viking who became King of Norway. When he was killed in battle, there was a total eclipse of the sun, a dramatic end for a dramatic saint!
5. Essentially, an Egyptian mob boss, St. Moses the Black had quite a rap sheet. After killing a sworn enemy’s sheep (Godfather anyone?), Moses took sanctuary with some monks and eventually converted and joined them. Years later, when the monastery was attacked by robbers, he fought them off single handily, but instead of killing them, he led to the chapel where the entire gang repented and converted.
6. St. Scholastica’s was hardly a stormy character. However, on one occasion, her twin brother, St. Benedict, wanted to end a conversation and go home to his monastery. Scholastica wanted to keep hanging out so she prayed up a storm, literally. The rain, thunder, and lightening were so intense that St. Benedict was forced to stay and acquiesce to his sisters wish.
7. Speaking of storms, St. Vitus;’ sentence of death by boiling oil was interrupted by a massive storm. This was after the pit of hungry lions refused to eat him. Also after angels released him from prison. No big deal.
8. Though she’s one of the most famous saints in history, St. Joan of Arc is just too awesome to leave off the list. At the age of 18, she turned the tide of the 100 years war with brilliant military strategy. She had absolutely no training, was younger than most of the ground soldiers and was certainly the first female soldier France had ever had.
9. Another somewhat famous, or rather infamous, character is Blessed Miguel Pro. In order to avoid arrest and still fulfill his priestly role, he would walk into prisons dressed as a police officer to deliver the Eucharist to prisoners. He was even known to yell at real police officers for not having arrested that sneaky priest yet!
10. St. Joseph of Cupertino was turned away from 2 monasteries for being ‘absent-minded, slow to learn and a general nuisance.’ Pretty sure they were kicking themselves once St. Joseph became a priest and received the gift of levitation. His prayer-induced flying witnessed by hundreds and often took him to the tops of Churches and trees.

The Spirit of Mother Jones
(Words & Music: Andy Irvine)
Mother Jones is dead and gone she could no longer stay
No one knew how old she was but she was often heard to say
How she was born in 1830 in the sweet County Cork
But she crossed the foaming billows till she landed in New York
Mother Jones the miners' angel must be treated with respect
She's an old-fashioned lady and you never would suspect
That this gown and this bonnet would fill the rich man full of dread
"She's the most dangerous woman in America!", they said
I see her marching down the street with her umbrella in her hand
I can hear her still at Ludlow where the miners made a stand
And she says: "John D. will you kindly tell to me

One of the most meaningful aspects of the High Holidays is hearing melodies that have been passed on from generation to generation. Liturgical music plays a crucial and elevated role in setting the spirit and tone of the holidays. There is a distinctive sound to the music of the Days of Awe. The melodies and tonality, unique to this season, have been sung for centuries. They are a thread that ties us to the past as we look to connect to future generations. As we honor the past we also make new traditions and create new music.
This setting was composed by Cantor David Lefkowitz, my beloved predecessor at Park Avenue Synagogue, who is like a father to me. Singing it on Rosh Hashana last year with my eldest son, and watching Cantor Lefkowitz’s face, was an unforgettable experience.
I wish you a happy, healthy and sweet year, and hope that through music, you are able to immerse yourself in the warmth of generations past and present.

And for all this, our King, Your name will be
praised and exalted forever. Our Father,
our King, remember Your mercy, subdue
Your anger and put an end to all plague and
violence, famine and captivity, destruction
and wrongdoing, and disease, and troubles,
and all illness, and all accidents, and all
quarrels, and all manner of calamities, and
all harsh judgments and baseless hatred.
Remove them all from us and from all who
keep Your covenant.

GENESIS 1:28
"God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it..."
MALACHI 2:15
"15 Has not the one God made you? You belong to him in body and spirit. And what does the one God seek? Godly offspring. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful to the wife of your youth."
MARK 10:6-9
"6 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ 7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, 8 and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
