A stairway, staircase, stairwell, flight of stairs, or simply stairs is a construction designed to bridge a large vertical distance by dividing it into smaller vertical distances, called steps. Stairs may be straight, round, or may consist of two or more straight pieces connected at angles.
A stair, or a stairstep is one step in a flight of stairs. In buildings, stairs is a term applied to a complete flight of steps between two floors. A stair flight is a run of stairs or steps between landings. A staircase or stairway is one or more flights of stairs leading from one floor to another, and includes landings, newel posts, handrails, balustrades and additional parts. A stairwell is a compartment extending vertically through a building in which stairs are placed. A stair hall is the stairs, landings, hallways, or other portions of the public hall through which it is necessary to pass when going from the entrance floor to the other floors of a building. Box stairs are stairs built between walls, usually with no support except the wall strings.
Step is the third full-length album by South KoreanK-popgirl groupKara. It was released on September 6, 2011. A special limited edition was available for pre-order starting August 25, 2011.
Background and recording
On August 4, 2011, the group confirmed that they will be releasing their third official album on mid-September and will resume their activities in South Korea for the first time in over six months. It was also reported by industry representatives that the group has been recording songs for the album during their spare time while they were busy promoting their fourth Japanese single, "Go Go Summer!". DSP Media stated that the group are in the process of reviewing which songs to be used as the lead song from the album.
Concept and artwork
Regarding the concept of the album, the group was also faced with a choice between maintaining their usual bright, cute and youthful concept or transforming into something new.
Composition
The limited edition of the album contains a bonus track called "With My Heart (Dear Kamilia)" which is the Korean version of "Ima, Okuritai 「Arigatou」" from their third Japanese single.
Step (stylized STEP) is the fifth full-length studio album by Japanese singer-lyricist Meg, released on June 18, 2008 in Japan by Universal Music Japan. This is Meg's highest selling album in her career as well as the second electropop album to reach the top ten in the Oricon charts since Perfume's Game (released two months prior), debuted and peaked at number 8 in the Oricon charts, selling 15,801 units on its first week of release and a total of 29,048 units in Japan.
Tracklist
All lyrics written by Meg; all songs composed, arranged and produced by Yasutaka Nakata.
"Step" is a pop song by the Japanese duo and idol unitClariS, written by Kz. It was released as the unit's tenth single on April 16, 2014 by SME Records. The song was used as the second opening theme to the 2014 anime series Nisekoi. A music video was produced for "Step", directed by Jungo. The single peaked at No. 3 on Japan's weekly Oricon singles chart.
Composition
"Step" is a synthpop song with instrumentation from a synthesizer. It is set in common time and moves at a tempo of 146 beats per minute in the E minorkey throughout the song. The introduction starts with the synthesized music to transition into the first verse, followed by the chorus. After a short bridge, this pattern is repeated for the second verse and chorus featuring the same music with different lyrics. A break is used to transition into the third verse, immediately followed by the chorus used as the outro to close the song.
Release and reception
"Step" was released in a regular edition and two limited editions on April 16, 2014 as a CD by SME Records in Japan. One of the limited edition versions was packaged with Nisekoi artwork and also contained a short version of "Step" instead of its instrumental version. The other limited edition version came bundled with a DVD containing the music video for "Step". The song peaked at No. 3 on Japan's weekly Oricon singles chart and charted for 8 weeks. "Step" debuted and peaked on the BillboardJapan Hot 100 at No. 5.
Stepped Footing Reinforcement (step by step construction animation)
There are several types of footings that engineers might need to create in the field based on location of the column. This video shows how to place reinforcement for stepped footing for a centered column.
Here are the main steps:
The excavation is done as per size of the footing. Then the PCC is laid to create a smooth surface. Then the cover blocks are used to maintain cover required for the concrete rebars over which the bottom reinforcement is placed. Then the top bars are placed at top.
Now that the reinforcement is laid the scaffolding is placed to allow the pouring of concrete and consolidate it for next 28 days to get required strength. The overlapping column bars to the point where the footing is to be buried are also placed with the tie bars.
Finally the footing is buried and f...

Pound for Pound Forming and Framing run through their first project using Fastfoot to form concrete footings.
This residential project, located up in the mountains of Whistler, BC had over 600' of footing 24" x 10". Large elevation changes required over 30 steps in the footing. Which were formed with just 7 rolls and 28 corners of Fastfoot 62".
Footings were supposed to be 10" in depth. With the excavation out 6-7", Fastfoot made adjusting the footing depth incredibly easy.
Tim averaged about 1 hour to form these steps with Fastfoot. If using plywood and threaded rod, Tim believes it would have taken many more hours per step to form.

Fastfoot also protects the lumber from concrete splash. This means a large amount of the lumber will be reused in the framing of the house later on.
Fastfoot also prevents ground moisture from wicking up into the home through the footing. This is a very inexpensive insurance to prevent mold and mildew in the basement. Click HERE for more information on rising damp.
Finishing the concrete footing is much easier with Fastfoot as the concrete slump can be 6" instead of the traditional 4" slump used with dimensional lumber to prevent leakage between the lumber and uneven ground.
