In graph theory, a flow network (also known as a transportation network) is a directed graph where each edge has a capacity and each edge receives a flow. The amount of flow on an edge cannot exceed the capacity of the edge. Often in operations research, a directed graph is called a network. The vertices are called nodes and the edges are called arcs. A flow must satisfy the restriction that the amount of flow into a node equals the amount of flow out of it, unless it is a source, which has only outgoing flow, or sink, which has only incoming flow. A network can be used to model traffic in a road system, circulation with demands, fluids in pipes, currents in an electrical circuit, or anything similar in which something travels through a network of nodes.

Network Ten (commonly known as Channel Ten or simply Ten, stylised as TEN), is an Australian commercial broadcasting network owned by Ten Network Holdings, and is headquartered in Pyrmont, New South Wales. It is the third Australian free-to-airtelevision network to make its debut after Nine Network in 1956 and Seven Network in 1956. It first aired on August 1, 1964 in Melbourne. Network Ten is the fourth of all the five national free-to-air networks in Australia, after the ABC. Its owned-and-operated stations can be found in the capital cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, while affiliates extend the network to cover most of the country. The channel's name became a backronym for "The Entertainment Network" during the early-1990s.
History
Origins
From the introduction of TV in 1956 until 1965 there were only two commercial television networks in Australia, the National Television Network (now the Nine Network) and the Australian Television Network (now the Seven Network), as well as the public Australian Broadcasting Corporation (then Commission). In the early 1960s, the federal government began canvassing the idea of licensing a third commercial television station in each capital city. This decision was seen by some as a way for the government to defuse growing public dissatisfaction with the dominance of imported overseas programming and the paucity of local content. The first of these "third" licences was granted to United Telecasters Sydney was granted on 4 April 1963.
Introduced by IBM in 1984, it was then standardized with protocol IEEE 802.5 and was fairly successful, particularly in corporate environments, but gradually eclipsed by the later versions of Ethernet.
(The main focus of this article is the IBM/IEEE 802.5 version, but there were several other earlier implementations of token rings).
Pin is a platform for creating analysis tools. A pin tool comprises instrumentation, analysis and callback routines. Instrumentation routines are called when code that has not yet been recompiled is about to be run, and enable the insertion of analysis routines. Analysis routines are called when the code associated with them is run. Callback routines are only called when specific conditions are met, or when a certain event has occurred. Pin provides an extensive application programming interface (API) for instrumentation at different abstraction levels, from one instruction to an entire binary module. It also supports callbacks for many events such as library loads, system calls, signals/exceptions and thread creation events.
Pin performs instrumentation by taking control of the program just after it loads into the memory. Then just-in-time recompiles (JIT) small sections of the binary code using pin just before it is ran. New instructions to perform analysis are added to the recompiled code. These new instructions come from the Pintool. A large array of optimization techniques are used to obtain the lowest possible running time and memory use overhead. As of June 2010, Pin's average base overhead is 30 percent (without running a pintool).
"Pin" is a single by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs from their debut album, Fever to Tell (2003). It was released on July 22, 2003, and received critical acclaim but did not receive much mainstream attention, especially when compared with the band's next single "Maps". This single includes the B-side "Mr. You're On Fire Mr." (a Liars cover), which is not found on any of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' full-length releases. The single peaked at #29 on the UK official charts.

Fearon was born in Jamaica in 1956, but moved to London with his parents at the age of five. After running a reggae sound system, he joined Hott Wax (which evolved into Brit funk pioneers Hi-Tension after he left) and in the late 1970s was a mainstay of hit group Kandidate which scored a number 11 chart hit in 1979 with "I Don't Wanna Lose You". He set up a studio in his north London house and initially recorded with the group Proton on Champagne Records. Fearon’s first recording as Galaxy (with assistance from singers Julie and Dorothy) was "Head Over Heels" on Ensign Records in 1982, which became a club hit. The first success came with the Top 5 hit "Dancing Tight" in 1983 and over the next 15 months they chalked up a further four UK Top 40 singles including the Top 10s "What Do I Do" and "Everybody’s Laughing". Their radio-friendly pop/soul debut album, Phil Fearon & Galaxy also made the Top 10 in 1984. After a quiet period, Fearon returned to the Top 10 for the last time with a revival of Tony Etoria’s "I Can Prove It" in 1986 (also a minor US R&B hit). He continued to run a production company from his home making commercial dance records.

(That would've made it more clear how the residual graph in the Ford-Fulkerson algorithm tells us how to update the flow on each edge (f(e)) in the original graph along the s-t path P, THEN we update the residual graph (also along P) to prepare for the next iteration.)
2.) Go into the actual augmentation once we find an s-t path P in the residual graph. We can only modulate the flow f(e) for each edge in the original graph on path P ± the smallest value residual graph edge on path P. The smallest forward edge on path P in the residual graph is the "bottleneck" to how much we can increase flow along the path P in the original graph. (hard to visualize...the textbook may have to take it away with this one, but when you understand this you'll really get it after watching this video)
I also didn't talk about time complexity, but the amount of while loop iterations is bounded to the capacity coming out of start node 's'. We can't ever push more flow from 's' than the sum of capacities of those exiting edges. If each interaction increases the value of the flow v(f) by 1 (and v(f) starts at 0 in the beginning since no "water" is going through the "pipes"), we can do at most C augmentations of the flow network where C = sum(edge capacities leaving 's').
In each while loop:
- O(|V| + |E|) to find the augmenting path
- O(|E|) to update the flows in the original graph
- O(|E|) to update the residual graph
So total runtime can be bounded to O(C * (|V| + |E|)).

Token Ring was developed in the early 1980's by IBM for a local area network or LAN. It was in direct competition with Ethernet. During the 80’s and the 90’s, there was a great debate about which technology should be used for a LAN or LANs.
We all know now Ethernet won. However, it is still interesting to know token ring and how it works to understand better why Ethernet has become the local area network standards.

Heute wollen wir uns eine Möglichkeit angucken, wie Computer über ein einziges Kabel kommunizieren können, ohne sich dabei gegenseitig zu stören. Warum ist das ein Problem? Nun wenn wir mit Licht etwas übertragen (natürlich auch Schall oder Strom) haben wir de facto eine Welle in unserem Medium und diese können sich nun mal überlagern. Wie wir aus der Quantenmechanik und dem berühmten Doppelspaltexperiment wissen, kann dies zu Ergebnissen führen, die wir eigentlich nicht haben möchten. Daher muss verhindert werden, dass 2 Sender das Medium zur selben Zeit nutzen.

Token Ring operates based on a ring topology. In a Token Ring network, data is transmitted sequentially, with a special control frame called a "token" being passed from one device to another. When a device has data to send, it seizes the token, attaches its data to it, and releases the token to the next device in the ring.

Things I'd Improve On This Explanation (w/ More Time):
1.) I should have done a walk-through showing how the residual graph dictates how the original graph's edge flows (f(e)) are updated each iteration. (That would've made it more clear how the residual graph in the Ford-Fulkerson algorithm tells us how to update the flow on each edge (f(e)) in the original graph along the s-t path P, THEN we update the residual graph (also along P) to prepare for the next iteration.)
2.) Go into the actual augmentation once we find an s-t path P in the residual graph. We can only modulate the flow f(e) for each edge in the original graph on path P ± the smallest value residual graph edge on path P. The smallest forward edge on path P in the residual graph is the "bottleneck" to how much we can increase flow along the path P in the original graph. (hard to visualize...the textbook may have to take it away with this one, but when you understand this you'll really get it after watching this video)
I also didn't talk about time complexity, but the amount of while loop iterations is bounded to the capacity coming out of start node 's'. We can't ever push more flow from 's' than the sum of capacities of those exiting edges. If each interaction increases the value of the flow v(f) by 1 (and v(f) starts at 0 in the beginning since no "water" is going through the "pipes"), we can do at most C augmentations of the flow network where C = sum(edge capacities leaving 's').
In each while loop:
- O(|V| + |E|) to find the augmenting path
- O(|E|) to update the flows in the original graph
- O(|E|) to update the residual graph
So total runtime can be bounded to O(C * (|V| + |E|)).

In graph theory, a flow network (also known as a transportation network) is a directed graph where each edge has a capacity and each edge receives a flow. The amount of flow on an edge cannot exceed the capacity of the edge. Often in operations research, a directed graph is called a network. The vertices are called nodes and the edges are called arcs. A flow must satisfy the restriction that the amount of flow into a node equals the amount of flow out of it, unless it is a source, which has only outgoing flow, or sink, which has only incoming flow. A network can be used to model traffic in a road system, circulation with demands, fluids in pipes, currents in an electrical circuit, or anything similar in which something travels through a network of nodes.

Token Ring (IEEE 802.5) is explained in this video.
Token Ring operates based on a ring topology. In a Token Ring network, data is transmitted sequentially, with a special control frame called a "token" being passed from one device to another. When a device has data to send, it seizes the token, attaches its data to it, and releases the token to the next device in the ring.
