Silver dollar may refer to:
The 1804 dollar was a dollar coin struck by the Mint of the United States, of which fifteen specimens are currently known to exist. Though dated 1804, none were struck in that year; all were minted in the 1830s or later. They were first created for use in special proof coin sets used as diplomatic gifts during Edmund Roberts' trips to Siam and Muscat. Some silver dollars were struck in 1804, though all were dated 1803. In 1806, production was suspended by order of James Madison, then Secretary of State, and the denomination was not struck again until the 1804-dated pieces were minted.
Edmund Roberts distributed the coins in 1834 and 1835. Two additional sets were ordered for government officials in Japan and Cochinchina, but Roberts died in Macau before they could be delivered. Besides those 1804 dollars produced for inclusion in the diplomatic sets, the Mint struck some examples which were used to trade with collectors for pieces desired for the Mint's coin cabinet. Numismatists first became aware of the 1804 dollar in 1842, when an illustration of one example appeared in a publication authored by two Mint employees. A collector subsequently acquired one example from the Mint in 1843. In response to numismatic demand, several examples were surreptitiously produced by Mint officials. Unlike the original coins, these later restrikes lacked the correct edge lettering, although later examples released from the Mint bore the correct lettering. The coins produced for the diplomatic mission, those struck surreptitiously without edge lettering and those with lettering are known collectively as "Class I", "Class II" and "Class III" dollars, respectively.
Silver Dollar is a 1932 American Pre-Code biographical film starring Edward G. Robinson, Bebe Daniels and Aline MacMahon. Based on David Karsner's biography of the same name, it tells the story of the rise and fall of Horace Tabor (renamed Yates Martin), a silver tycoon in 19th century Colorado.
A copy is preserved in the Library of Congress.
Kansas farmer Yates Martin (Edward G. Robinson) uproots his uncomplaining wife Sarah (Aline MacMahon) and baby son to 1876 Colorado in search of gold. He buys a claim, then immediately abandons it when two prospectors tell him of a strike in Leadville. Taking Sarah's prudent advice, he sets up a store there. To her dismay, however, he stakes miners in return for partnerships in their diggings. Just as the Martins run out of money and decide to return to Kansas, prospectors Rische and Hook show up with the news that they have struck it rich, not with gold but with silver, and Yates has a third share of it.
Yates spends his new-found riches with great abandon, purchasing, among other things, a claim from a seemingly downtrodden miner for $50,000, over his suspicious wife's objections. He is asked to run for Lieutenant Governor of Colorado. When his foreman informs him that the claim he bought is worthless, Yates tells him to keep on digging, at least until the election is over, so that he will not look like a fool. As it turns out, not only does he win the election, the claim yields a lode even richer than his first.
Thin Lizzy are an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 1969. Two of the founding members, drummer Brian Downey and bass guitarist and vocalist Phil Lynott, met while still in school. Lynott assumed the role of frontman and led them throughout their recording career of twelve studio albums. Thin Lizzy's most successful songs, "Whiskey in the Jar", "Jailbreak" and "The Boys Are Back in Town", were all major international hits which are still played regularly on hard rock and classic rock radio stations. After Lynott's death in 1986, various incarnations of the band have emerged over the years based initially around guitarists Scott Gorham and John Sykes, though Sykes left the band in 2009. Gorham later continued with a new line-up including Downey.
Lynott, Thin Lizzy's de facto leader, was composer or co-composer of almost all of the band's songs, and the first black Irishman to achieve commercial success in the field of rock music. Thin Lizzy boasted some of the most critically acclaimed guitarists throughout their history, with Downey and Lynott as the rhythm section, on the drums and bass guitar. As well as being multiracial, the band drew their members not only from both sides of the Irish border but also from both the Catholic and Protestant communities during The Troubles. Their music reflects a wide range of influences, including blues, soul music, psychedelic rock, and traditional Irish folk music, but is generally classified as hard rock or sometimes heavy metal. Rolling Stone magazine describes the band as distinctly hard rock, "far apart from the braying mid-70s metal pack".
Thin Lizzy is the first studio album by Irish hard rock band Thin Lizzy, released in 1971.
All songs written by Phil Lynott, except where stated.
When the album was repackaged for CD in 1990, the four tracks that comprised the rare "New Day" EP were added:
On 11 October 2010, a new remastered and expanded version of Thin Lizzy was released. This version features the following bonus tracks:

Silver dollar may refer to:
Me and my buddies, we're going to get drunk
We're going to go out on the town
We'll be checking it out, slipping it in
And stepping out of line
You know, everybody likes to get a little crazy
In their own particular way
But my buddies and I, we go over the top
And we're going over again today
We'll be having a good time
Passing the by-line
Having a good time
You know it's a rock and roll pastime
It might be typical, topical or maybe tropical
That doesn't mean anything
If you're political, practical
Then it's improbable, that you do anything
But me and my buddies, we like to go crazy
We like to go over the hill
Hey, woman will you be there
Because my buddies and I will
Having a good time
Passing the by-line
We'll be having a good time
It's a rock and roll pastime
Hey Snowy
Play a bit for me
That was Snowy White
And he likes err, it in the night
The next to play
I must say, is Scott Gorham and away
We'll be having a good time
Passing the by-line
Having a good time
It's a rock and roll pastime
Let's play that one more time
Hit me with that drum Brian
Hit me as hard as you can
Oh yes, that's they way I like it
Do it again, do it again, let's do it again
Having a good time
Oh yes, I like this
Having a good time
Typical, topical, who cares?
Having a good time
Political, practical, impossible
Having a good time
Don't ask me why Jack?
Having a good time
Having a good time
Having a wild time
Having a good time
I'm slipping on the inside
Having a good time
That's fine
Having a good time
Drinking Beaujolais, no that doesn't rhyme
Having a good time
Just talking from the top of my head
Having a good time
To the bottom of your soul
