Donnie Fritts (born November 8, 1942, Florence, Alabama) is an Americansession musician and songwriter. A recording artist in his own right, he has been Kris Kristofferson's keyboardist for over forty years as of 2013. In 2008, he was inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. He began playing drums in local bands such as The Satellites and Hollis Dixon & the Keynotes at age 15, and later developed into a session keyboard player.
In 1965, Fritts signed with a Nashville publishing company. Songs which he wrote were recorded by Charlie Rich and Jerry Lee Lewis. He later met Kris Kristofferson who was just beginning a career in songwriting. When forming his band, Kristofferson called on Fritts, who continued as his keyboard player for over two decades, performing live, on recordings and in numerous movies.
A tally (or tally stick) was an ancient memory aid device used to record and document numbers, quantities, or even messages. Tally sticks first appear as animal bones carved with notches, in the Upper Paleolithic; a notable example is the Ishango Bone. Historical reference is made by Pliny the Elder (AD 23–79) about the best wood to use for tallies, and by Marco Polo (1254–1324) who mentions the use of the tally in China. Tallies have been used for numerous purposes such as messaging and scheduling, and especially in financial and legal transactions, to the point of being currency.
Kinds of tallies
Principally there are two different kinds of tally sticks, the single and the split tally. A common form of the same kind of primitive counting device is seen in various kinds of prayer beads.
Paleolithic tally sticks
A number of anthropological artefacts have been conjectured to be tally sticks:
the Ishango bone is a bone tool, dated to the Upper Paleolithic era, about 18,000 to 20,000BC. It is a dark brown length of bone, the fibula of a baboon. It has a series of tally marks carved in three columns running the length of the tool. It was found in 1960 in Belgian Congo.
Short End of the Stick (Chinese:公公出宮; Jyutping:gung1 gung1 ceot1 gung1; literally "Eunuchs Leave the Palace") is a 2016Hong Kong period comedy television drama produced by TVB. The drama is TVB's 2016 Lunar New Year drama, starring Wayne Lai, Nancy Wu, Edwin Siu, Power Chan, Raymond Cho, Rosina Lam, Grace Wong, Natalie Tong and David Chiang as the main cast. It premiered on February 9, 2016, airing every Monday to Friday on Hong Kong's Jade and HD Jade channels during its 8:30-9:30 pm timeslot, concluding March 25, 2016 with a total of 35 episodes.
Short End of the Stick is an indirect sequel to TVB's 2012 drama The Confidant. Short End of the Stick also stars most of the same cast from The Confidant. Both dramas centers around the lives, struggles and betrayals of eunuchs, but unlike The Confidant which was a melodrama, Short End of the Stick is a light hearted comedy. The Confidant main protagonist Li Lianying, played by Wayne Lai is mentioned as part of the plot in Short End of the Stick.

Now a decade on the 55-year-old is celebrating having just undergone major reconstructive prosthetic treatments giving him back his nose, upper lip and palette, and teeth. Now Donnie has the confidence to go out in public with his wife again - and is looking forward to taking her out for dinner for the first time in nearly 10 years.

But sadly their joy was short-lived as Donnie developed a life-threatening infection. He battled back to health but was forced to wait for a new prosthetic. Sharon is determined to stand by the man she loves until a solution can be found. She said: "Donnie is an amazing man. He's so funny and has kept his sense of humor throughout. I still see the man I saw when we walked down the aisle." Donnie and Sharon's story will feature in an episode of new series Body Bizarre, titled Born With An Extra Body: Body Bizarre at 10pm on Monday November 25th.

My stick. I just love my stick. Mmm, my stick. I just love my stick. Girl, your ride is bad but you can't compare. To my baby black Cadillac, oh so rare. Take a vacation, I don't care. Cuz I can get some stimulation anywhere. (chorus) You just come to quick, I'd rather work my stick. Get a little satisfaction, work the stick in my ride. You just come to quick, I'd rather work my stick. Get a little satisfaction, work the stick in my ride. Girl, you come to quick, much, much to quick. Girl, you come to quick, I'll just work the stick. Offer me your body, I have to pass. Cuz every time we make love, you run out of gas. Girl, my car's so bad it runs on H2O. Now you can't compete, it's got the cruise control. (repeat chorus) I've been drivin' baby, since the age of 13. I'm the baddest driver you've ever seen. You know I like it fast and I like it slow. Sometimes I let the top down when I wanna let go. You just come to quick, I'd rather work my stick. Get a little satisfaction, work the stick in my ride. What time is it? I said, what time is it? You just come to quick, I'd rather work my stick. Somebody bring me a mirror so I can uh ... What song we on? You just come to quick, I'd rather work my stick. Get a little satisfaction, work the stick in my ride. What time is it? I'm just alright, oh no. I don't need you, baby, I'll just work the stick in my ride. I don't need your action, baby. Get a little satisfaction, work the stick in my ride. You just come to quick, I'd rather work my stick. It's about time to go. I said, I don't need you girl. Somebody bring me a mirror. So I can look at my stick. Hey, alright? You wanna see it? Should I take it out? Take it out, man. Hey, later y'all.
