"Shine On (Shine All Your Sweet Love on Me)" is a song written by Johnny MacRae and Bob Morrison, and recorded by American country music artist George Jones. It was released in January 1983 as the first single from his album Shine On. The song peaked at number 3 on the BillboardHot Country Singles chart. "Shine On" was Jones' sixth Top 10 solo hit in less than three years and demonstrated Jones' incredible gift for bending and twisting vocal notes in his own inimitable manner. The song also displayed some of the pop elements that producer Billy Sherrill would introduce into George's sound over the course of his next few albums.
The Fog is a 2005 horror film directed by Rupert Wainwright and starring Tom Welling, Selma Blair and Maggie Grace. It is a remake of John Carpenter's 1980 film of the same name and was produced by Carpenter and Debra Hill who co-wrote the original film. The film's narrative follows a strange fog that sweeps in over an island town in the coast of Oregon; it brings vindictive apparitions of mariners who were murdered there exactly 100 years prior. The townspeople find themselves trapped and fighting for their lives while investigating the truth of their history.
Plot
William Blake arranges to purchase half of Antonio Island, off the coast of Oregon, to establish a leper colony for his people. However, island residents Patrick Malone, Norman Castle, Richard Wayne and David Williams double-cross Blake. During a foggy night, they loot his clipper ship the Elizabeth Dane and set it on fire, killing all aboard. 134 years later, the residents of Antonio Island prepare to honor their founding fathers—the same men who burned the Elizabeth Dane—and a statue of them is to be unveiled on the town's anniversary. During a boating trip, Nick Castle and his friend Spooner unwittingly disturb a bag containing a pocket-watch and a hairbrush from the Elizabeth Dane lying on the seabed.
The Fog is a horror novel by English writer James Herbert, published in 1975. It is about a deadly fog that drives its victims insane when they come into contact with it. Herbert's second book, it is completely unrelated to the 1980 film of the same name by John Carpenter.
Plot summary
John Holman is a worker for the Department of the Environment investigating a Ministry of Defence base in a small rural village. An unexpected earthquake swallows his car releasing a fog that had been trapped underground for many years. An insane Holman is pulled up from the crack, a product of the deadly fog.
Soon the fog shifts and travels as though it has a mind of its own, turning those unfortunate enough to come across it into homicidal/suicidal maniacs who kill without remorse, and often worse. Respectable figures including teachers and priests engage in crimes ranging from public urination to paedophilia. A Boeing 747 pilot is also made insane and crashes the aircraft into the BT Tower in London.
Fog was a band fronted by Andrew Broder, which includes members Mark Erickson and Tim Glenn. Most of Fog's releases have been put out by Lex Records or Ninja Tune.
Style
For most of their existence, material released by Fog had been produced largely by Andrew Broder alone, combining both traditionally performed instruments and turntable-derived samples, until the switch to a traditional three-piece rock band format was announced in 2006.
History
In 1999, Fog started in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Andrew Broder started writing music at first as a type of therapy to help with his depression. His first album Fog features MF Doom and Doseone on vocals. The "debut" album by Fog as the full band, Ditherer, was released in 2007. Phil Elverum, Andrew Bird, Low, Dosh and Yoni Wolf appear on the album.
In 2008, Fog had stopped their activity in order to involve in other various projects, and hasn't reunited since. In July 2010, Andrew Broder announced through their MySpace page that the band "...as it has existed is finished." Later that year, his new band Cloak Ox was formed.

Saw you stretched out in room Ten O Nine
With a smile on your face and a tear right in your eye
Couldn't see to get a line on you
My sweet honey love
Berber jewlry jangling down the street
Make you shut your eyes at every woman that you meet
Couldn't not seem to get a high on you
My sweet honey love
May the good lord shine a light on you
Make every song your favourite tune
May the good lord shine a light on you
Warm like the evening sun
Well, you're drunk in the alley, baby
With your clothes all torn
And your late night friends
Leave you in the cold grey dawn
Just seemed too many flies on you
I just can't brush them off
Angels beating all their wings in time
With smiles on...

George Glenn Jones (September 12, 1931 – April 26, 2013) was an American musician, singer and songwriter. He achieved international fame for his long list of hit records, including his best known song "He Stopped Loving Her Today", as well as his distinctive voice and phrasing. For the last twenty years of his life, Jones was frequently referred to as the greatest living country singer. Country music scholar Bill Malone writes, "For the two or three minutes consumed by a song, Jones immerses himself so completely in its lyrics, and in the mood it conveys, that the listener can scarcely avoid becoming similarly involved." Waylon Jennings expressed a similar opinion in his song "It's Alright": "If we all could sound like we wanted to, we'd all sound like George Jones." The shape of his nose and facial features earned Jones the nickname "The Possum".

When the night is falling And the land is dark Gentle it seems to be Feel he's creeping and crawling Feel he's creeping and crawling No one turns on a light, be paralyzed Be frozen tonight No one turns on a light, be paralyzed Be frozen tonight Lost in the darkness, inevitable fate Being haunted by a million screams Feel he's creeping and crawling Feel he's creeping and crawling No one turns on a light, be paralyzed Be frozen tonight No one turns on a light, be paralyzed Be frozen tonight Deep tone violent sound Faces hit onto the ground When the fog comes over As night becomes the day Has swept it all away
