Semen Padang Football Club is an Indonesian professional football club, based in Indarung, Padang, Indonesia, that plays in the Indonesian Super League. The club was established on 30 November 1980.
History
Semen Padang Football Club is a professional football club founded at 30 November 1980 by Mr. Azwar Anas and owned by PT. Semen Padang, which is the oldest cement companies in Indonesia. This football club based in Indarung, Padang, West Sumatra and called Kabau Sirah or Red Bull.
Before the creation of Liga Indonesia, as a professional club owned by a company, they competed at Galatama. Their first title was winning the Piala Galatama on 1992, by a vital goal from Delfi Adri into Arema Malang net, thus qualified them for their first appearances at Asia level, the 1993-94 Asian Cup Winners' Cup. At that competition, they fought until reach the quarterfinal.
Padang (Indonesian pronunciation:[ˈpadaŋ]) is the capital of the province of West Sumatra in Indonesia. It is the largest city on the western coast of Sumatra. Before Indonesia's independence, Padang was one of the major cities in the Dutch East Indies and nowadays the fifth largest city in Sumatra behind Medan, Batam, Palembang and Pekanbaru. It has an area of 695 square kilometres (268sqmi) and the population of 876,678 in 2013.
Padang is one of the cleanest big cities in Indonesia. Up to 2009, Padang has received the "Adipura" (cleanest and greenest city) award in the category of large city 17 times and the "Adipura Kencana" award 3 times.
Since the 16th century Padang has been a trade centre. During the 16th and 17th centuries pepper was cultivated and traded with India, Portugal, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. In 1663 the city came under the authority of the Dutch and a trading post was built here in 1680. The city came under British authority twice, the first time from 1781 to 1784 during the Fourth Anglo-Dutch War, and again from 1795 to 1819 during the Napoleonic Wars. Afterwards the city was transferred back to the Netherlands. Up to approximately 1780 the most important trade product was gold, originating from the gold mines in the region. When the mines were exhausted, the emphasis turned to other products such as coffee, salts and textiles.
Padang is an ethnic group in Sudan, a subgroup of the Dinka. They speak Padang, a Dinka language. Many members of this ethnicity are Christians. The population of this ethnicity exceeds 100,000.

Padang INDONESIA: Full of HIDDEN GEMS!
Welcome to West Sumatra, the region of mysteries! West Sumatra is one of the most beautiful regions in all of Indonesia, full of hidden gems! Padang is the most-known city in this region, but there is far more to see than only this city. Southern to Padang, there are plenty of great attractions to visit. A very interesting place is the suspension bridge called Jambatan Akar Bayang. It’s a bridge in the middle of the jungle that is grown from trees. It’s a very eye-catching bridge, great for taking photos. It takes around 2.5 hours from Padang to reach; the only way to get there is by car. On the way, you may consider having a quick break at the village of Sungai Lundang. It’s a cute village in the middle of the jungle with a calm river passing. It would be probably worth exploring more. Be...

It would be probably worth exploring more. Between Sungaitalang and the Jambatan Akar Bayang bridge is the wonderful hidden gem waterfall called Air Terjun Bayang Sani. It is a branched waterfall with a height of approximately 80 meters. It is a great waterfall to consider going for a quick swim. Very beautiful is the beach at Sungaitalang called Batu Kalang. During the later afternoon, you may watch the arriving fishermen returning to the village. The beach is very beautiful, in fact very underrated! The very highlight is just nearby called Taluak Sikulo. It’s a small island at where the waves are broken into rings; a very fascinating spot to spend your sunset at. Taluak Sikulo is the perfect hidden gem that is mostly only known among locals. In fact: the entire region of West Sumatra is barely known but full of such hidden gems. Taluak Sikulo can be considered one of the best attractions at the sea side around Padang.

AAAAAAAAAAAAA
Aku masih kangen banget sama Padang!
💛💛💛
Asli.
*setelah Bintan — owkay, daftar liburan makin panjang 😂✌🏻
Aku rasa Yang Maha Kuasa terlalu baik sama aku.
Gak usah bahas berkepanjangan.
xoxo,

And along with being very common throughout Sumatra, in Jakarta, Padang food is perhaps one of the most beloved meals as well, and you’ll find hundreds of Nasi Padang restaurants in the city.
There are two ways to eat Nasi Padang. If you go to a street food stall they normally served it in the pesan way, where you get a plate of rice, and designate which curries and dishes you’d like to eat, and they are all placed on top of your rice - so you’ve got a one plate meal. And this is the way that I’d normally always eating Nasi Padang. But when you go to a nicer sit down restaurant, still very local, they often serve it in the hidang method, where as soon as you sit down, you’re given a variety of all the different dishes they have prepared, and they set them all in front of you on your table. You don’t need to eat everything they give you, but you pay for what you eat, and don’t pay for what you don’t eat. It’s truly a magical way to have a meal, to see all the different dishes and varieties of ingredients all laid before you. The toughest part is trying to decide what to eat.
When I was in Jakarta, thanks to the help of Renis, who invited Ying and I to come to her favorite Nasi Padang Indonesian food restaurant in Jakarta, we ate at Rumah Makan Surya Masakan Padang. What I liked about this restaurant, as opposed to others I ate in Jakarta, is that it seemed not so much like a chain, but it had more character to it. The restaurant is known for its makan Padang, Padang food, and as soon as we arrived, I could smell the aroma of the incredible dishes.
The beef rendang is a famous Indonesian food that’s commonly served at Nasi Padang restaurants, and it’s a dish you don’t want to miss. The combination of chilies and herbs, mixed with desiccated coconut, and caked onto each piece of meat, makes it incredible. Beef rendang is one of the greatest Indonesian dishes. Additionally, another common Indonesian Padang food that you’ll find is gulai otak, which is brain curry, usually made with cow brains. The cow brains are incredibly creamy and soft, and then it was within a very creamy coconut milk based curry. I’m also a huge fan of the different types of fresh chilies and sambals that you each along with your rice and curry when you eat Nasi Padang. Rumah Makan Surya Masakan Padang is an amazing restaurant in Jakarta, and I fully loved it.

Gak usah bahas berkepanjangan.
xoxo,
RSW

I can still remember my first time to ever eat Nasi Padang, when I visited the island of Sumatra back in 2009. I had a plate of rice, piled high with a variety of different curry dishes and chili filled dishes. The combination of flavors and the variety of dishes on my plate just astounded me, and my taste buds rejoiced. Until now, Nasi Padang has always remained one of my favorite Indonesian food meals to eat.
