Arezzo (Italian pronunciation:[aˈrettso]) is a city and comune in Italy, capital of the province of the same name, located in Tuscany. Arezzo is about 80 kilometres (50 miles) southeast of Florence, at an elevation of 296 metres (971ft)above sea level. In 2013 the population was about 99,000.
History
Described by Livy as one of the Capitae Etruriae (Etruscan capitals), Arezzo (Aritim in Etruscan) is believed to have been one of the twelve most important Etruscan cities—the so-called Dodecapolis, part of the Etruscan League. Etruscan remains establish that the acropolis of San Cornelio, a small hill next to that of San Donatus, was occupied and fortified in the Etruscan period. There is other significant Etruscan evidence: parts of walls, an Etruscan necropolis on Poggio del Sole (still named "Hill of the Sun"), and most famously, the two bronzes, the "Chimera of Arezzo" (5th century BC) and the "Minerva" (4th century BC) which were discovered in the 16th century and taken to Florence. Increasing trade connections with Greece also brought some elite goods to the Etruscan nobles of Arezzo: the krater painted by Euphronios ca 510 BC with a battle against Amazons (in the Museo Civico, Arezzo 1465) is unsurpassed.

The main piazza in Arezzo is one of those great Tuscan spaces, with pedestrian lanes leading out from it in all directions. We'll take you on a walk along the main Corso Italia, with detours into various little side lanes, and show many of the old buildings dating back to the Middle Ages when Arezzo was a fortified town with a wall around it.
Among the many attractions here there is one particular focal point, which is a series of paintings by Piero della Francesca depicting scenes of the True Cross. The historic center between the train station and Piazza Grande is just about one square kilometer, so it's really easy to see it on foot walking around for a day. You'll really enjoy this main street, Corso Italia, lined with shops, and there's apartments above, there's a few little hotels here and there, in a quiet pedestrian zone with the few little service vehicles. You'll notice a slight incline in the angle of the street as you enter the town, but Arezzo is relatively flat, not one of those steep hill towns of Tuscany. Within 10 minutes walk from the train station, you can reach the Basilica of San Francesco, perhaps the major landmark of town, because inside is that series of fresco paintings by Piero della Francesca, depicting Legends of the True Cross, a world famous collection of art.
We'll take a closer look at these beautiful pieces at the end of the video. Like in many other Tuscan towns, this broad pedestrian route is the main pathway connecting the lower part of town to the historic one, more up towards the top of the hill. It's a slight uphill walk, but very nice stroll with many kinds of shops, there's restaurants, antiques and more.

This episode I'm taking you to one of the biggest and oldest antique markets in Italy in the Tuscan city of Arezzo.

"Who said, anybody likes you? You'll find out." Opened minded with an open mouth. My throat got tired when the dirt went down. "Who said, anybody likes you? You'll find out." I know you think I don't give a rats ass, but taking mud off my name has taken longer than I've percieved it. "Who said, anybody likes you? You'll find out." Sugar coated was the tainted pill. Easy to swallow but it fucked my will.
