The SMS Kolberg
In the year 1916, a light cruiser of the Imperial German Navy christened as the "Kolberg" was lost and separated from the rest of its fleet due to the foggy weather. While looking for the rest of the fleet, it was spotted by a squadron of torpedo bombers whom which took the opportunity to attack the lone cruiser.
It should be noted that this is not based on true events. The actual ship survived the war and was scrapped at 1929.

How To Play SMS Kolberg In World Of Warships
So the SMS Kolberg is essentially a T2 Dresden uptiered and given a little more HP and slightly tighter turning. Same guns, basically the same range, same damage, and same problems with the T2 Dresden plague the T3 Kolberg. Is this a problem? Well... no, not really. The grind is short enough to not miss the ship when you get through it but ultimately, compared to other T3's that are far more brilliant, the Kolberg is a bit of a "blegh" on the overall landscape of T3 cruisers.
Personally I don't like it that much, and not much will change that!

The SMS Kolberg was the lead ship of her class. One of the last protected cruisers of the Kaiserliche Marine (German Imperial Navy). She saw action against the British and Russian navies during the first World War. After the war ended, she was surrendered to France as a prize of war. She was re-named Colmer and served for a few years before being broken up for scrap.
Going into this battle, I had my doubts about surviving. I was the only Tier III vessel going up against Tier IV and V ships. So early on I kept my speed slow, not wishing to charge to my death. Initial focus on a destroyer that was getting close a Battleship on my team. After that I noticed a cruiser trying to sneak around the island toward our Carriers. After that I assisted in setting an enemy Battleship's deck on fire and later aided in two cruisers being destroyed (I think they were AFK).
Every time I went to engage, I assumed I would meet my end. Then it came down to just a few carriers. That introduced a new challenge for me. The Kolberg does not have any anti-air defense, which is odd because in real life she had both torpedoes and AA guns. The fact that I had no AA is why toward the end I kept changing my heading, trying to not allow those planes a chance to broadside me.
