Rupert Murdoch has lost a battle to change who controls the future of his media empire when he dies.
The case pitted the 93-year-old against three of his children over who would gain the power to control News Corp and Fox News.
It has been reported that Mr Murdoch wanted to amend a family trust created in 1999 to allow his son Lachlan to take control without "interference" from his siblings Prudence, Elisabeth and James.

Commissioner's 'brutal indictment' on Rupert Murdoch's 'act of bad faith' over trust | The World
Rupert Murdoch and his son Lachlan say they will appeal a ruling that denied a change to a family trust. The trust currently would divide control of News Corp and Fox News equally among Rupert Murdoch's four oldest children after his death, but the media mogul wanted only Lachlan in charge. But a U.S. commissioner has concluded that father and son were acting in "bad faith". The other three siblings have welcomed the decision and say they hope they can move on to strengthening and rebuilding relationships among all family members. Walter Marsh, author of Young Rupert: The Making of the Murdoch Empire tells The World the commissioner's ruling entrenches the status quo. #abctheworld #abcasiapacific

Fleet Street's Last Stand - Rupert Murdoch and the Wapping Dispute (1986)
In the early hours of 25 January 1986, Rupert Murdoch’s covert move from Fleet Street to a new premises in Wapping would kick off the second largest industrial dispute and trade union defeat in British history; the Wapping Dispute. From the shop floor, Murdoch would hold his ground and dismiss questions on the roughly 5k workers dismissed by News International Group, as the picket lines chafed wearily against the new perimeters of the Wapping facility. It would be 54 weeks until defeat / resolution.
