APOEL FC (Greek:ΑΠΟΕΛ; short for Αθλητικός Ποδοσφαιρικός Όμιλος Ελλήνων Λευκωσίας, Athletikos Podosferikos Omilos Ellinon Lefkosias, "Athletic Football Club of Greeks of Nicosia") is a professional footballclub based in Nicosia, Cyprus. APOEL is the most popular football team in Cyprus and they are the most successful with an overall tally of 24 championships, 21 cups and 13 super cups.
In 1985 the Company started managing third party funds. In 1989 the Company established a partnership with Germany’s HypoVereinsbank
who acquired a 50% stake in the business; this stake was increased to 90% in 1998. In 2000 Eureko purchased HypoVereinsbank’s 90% stake and in 2001 went on to secure 100% control and consolidate their asset management activities with those of the Company under the F&C brand.
In 2004 ISIS Asset Management merged with F&C Management Limited to form F&C Asset Management and the combined business was then listed on the London Stock Exchange.
In 2008 Friends Provident announced its intention to divest its shareholding in F&C Asset Management. This was completed in 2009.
On 7 May 2014, F&C Asset Management plc was acquired by Bank of Montreal through its wholly owned subsidiary, BMO Global Asset Management (Europe) Limited.

The Royal Ordnance Depot Exploring Weedon Part 2
Hello you beautiful lot!! 💖
Continuing on from yesterday, Jamie, Ben and I head on towards the royal ordnance depot in Weedon. This site dates back to 1802 and was decommissioned in 1965. It was built for the services of His Majesty’s Ordnance and was used to store and repair small arms and cannons.
The wildlife here is just stunning mainly because the canal towpath has been left as a pond.

The Royal Ordnance Depot Your Little Piece of History
The Royal Ordnance Depot is situated 7 miles west of Northampton in the village of Weedon Bec. Now in private hands our intention is to continue to revive the depot by inviting businesses to enjoy the community feel adopted on this 22 acre site. No longer in military use these historic buildings and the surrounding land provide a unique location for local businesses and individuals alike. Plans include development of part of the site for which a planning application is under way.

For 500 years going back to Henry VIII and the Royal Navy, the Royal Arsenal in South East London defended the interests of England and then the United Kingdom. The expertise and output of Britain's largest factory allowed the UK to build an Empire containing a quarter of the planet's population and saw both Nation and Empire through two World Wars.
The Arsenal shaped the development of South East London of national note, and whether good or bad, the Arsenal was also of pivotal importance and at the very heart of the development of the British Empire. A story of endeavour, ingenuity, innovation and human industry through the experiences of the ordinary women and men, the military, the craft masters and the innovators, who together made London known across the globe. The Arsenal was fundamental to a war whose battlefields were dominated by artillery. This is the story of the growth of the largest military industrial complex in Europe.

Visiting the Royal Arsenal Woolwich, the centre of British military industry in the 18th and 19th centuries, and the site of the formation of the Arsenal Football Club. Although 'Firepower', the Royal Artillery Museum is long gone, the area is still strewn with fascinating cannons!
