Cuba (Portuguese pronunciation:[ˈkuβɐ]) is a town and municipality in the District of Beja in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 4,878, in an area of 172.09km².
It is historically known in Portugal as being the birthplace of Christopher Columbus. (In: Mascarenhas Barreto "Colombo Português: Provas Documentais"), and a statue honouring him can be seen on the city centre.
The current mayor (since 2013) is João Português. The municipal holiday is Monday after Easter.
Parishes
Administratively, the municipality is divided into 4 civil parishes (freguesias):
Air Cuba, previously known as Cuba, were a British electronic music duo formed by Christopher Andrews and Ashley Bates. They released two singles and an album, Leap of Faith, on 4AD in 1998 and 1999. Their sound demonstrated a range of electronic, pop, and rock influences, and they were frequently compared with Primal Scream.
Background
The group was formed as Cuba in 1998 by Christopher Andrews and Ashley Bates, formerly the drummer of Chapterhouse. Originally from Canada, Andrews named the band "Cuba" in honour of his mother's birthplace. The group self-financed two singles, "Havana" and "Fiery Cross", which were released by 4AD. The following year they changed their name to Air Cuba and released their only album, Leap of Faith.
During the 1990s, Andrews was married to Slowdive vocalist/guitarist Rachel Goswell (their marriage dissolved in 2000). She performed on some of the band's recordings, and Cuba also collaborated with Angie Brown of Bizarre Inc, Shara Nelson, and Mau (alias of Michael Giffts).
Havana (/həˈvænə/; Spanish: La Habana, [la aˈβana]) is the capital city, largest city, province, major port, and leading commercial centre of Cuba. The city proper has a population of 2.1 million inhabitants, and it spans a total of 728.26km2 (281.18sqmi) – making it the largest city by area, the most populous city, and the third largest metropolitan area in the Caribbean region. The city extends mostly westward and southward from the bay, which is entered through a narrow inlet and which divides into three main harbours: Marimelena, Guanabacoa and Atarés. The sluggish Almendares River traverses the city from south to north, entering the Straits of Florida a few miles west of the bay.
The city of Havana was founded by the Spanish in the 16th century and due to its strategic location it served as a springboard for the Spanish conquest of the continent becoming a stopping point for the treasure-laden Spanish galleons on the crossing between the New World and the Old World. King Philip II of Spain granted Havana the title of City in 1592. Walls as well as forts were built to protect the old city. The sinking of the U.S. battleship Maine in Havana's harbor in 1898 was the immediate cause of the Spanish–American War.
Havana ("turn left in Havana") is a club passingpattern. There are 4 jugglers with a total of 12 clubs and the pattern is a type of rotating feed, much like a feed weave. Feeders do a 2 count (everies) while feedees do a 6 count. All passes are right hand tramline.
There is always one feeder, but the feeder changes throughout. It is best described from the feeders point of view. When feeding, begin passing to your leftmost feedee. Make 5 passes in a windshield wiper fashion.
After the first pass, feedee B and C begin to switch places in a clockwise motion. After the places have been exchanged and the feeder has given their 4th pass, B takes one additional step forward and turns counter clockwise (see: "turn left"), such that D will be the new feeder.
Once A finishes their 5th pass, D immediately begins their feed cycle starting on their left. Note that A has no break between A's 5th pass and D's first pass.
Some find that practicing a 4 person feed weave with a single feeder is a good warm up for this pattern.
The song was written and produced by Kenny G and Walter Afanasieff. As with virtually all of his songs, Kenny G plays the saxophone on this track. The music was arranged by Bill Ross.
The song peaked at #66 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and #10 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart in early 1997. More noteworthy, however, is the fact that the song was remixed by two well-known DJs, Todd Terry and Tony Moran. These mixes gave the song a completely different sound, with an electronic house music backdrop layered in with the original recording. These mixes were released to dance clubs on promotional 12" singles, and the remixed "Havana" went to #1 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart in April 1997. To date, this is Kenny's only #1 song on this chart. Both the original and dance versions received radio airplay in the United States as well.

De Alto Cedro voy para Marcané
Luego a Cueto voy para Mayarí.
El cariño que te tengo
Yo no lo puedo negar
Se me sale la babita
Yo no lo puedo evitar.
Cuando Juanica y Chan Chan
En el mar cernían arena
Como sacudía el ‘jibe’
A Chan Chan le daba pena.
Limpia el camino de paja
Que yo me quiero sentar
En aquel tronco que veo
Y así no puedo llegar.
De Alto Cedro voy para Marcané
Luego a Cueto voy para Mayarí.

I’m going from Alto Cedro
to Marcané
Then from Cueto, I’m going
to Mayarí.
The love I have for you I cannot deny
My mouth is watering
I just can’t help myself.
When Juanika and Chan Chan
Sifted sand together on the beach
How her bottom shook and
Chan Chan was aroused!
Clean the dry sugar cane
leaves from the path
So I can get to that trunk
I want to sit down.
I’m going from Alto Cedro
to Marcané
Then from Cueto, I’m going
to Mayarí.

Tengo el placer de compartir en el vídeo con el Grupo Evolución que trabaja en este restaurante habitualmente. Sin ensayarlo, la música se apoderó de nosotros. INGREDIENTS:
50ml Dark Rum
10ml Lime Juice
Top Up Coca-Cola
A drink that celebrated the end of war and oppression in Cuba, the Cuba Libre is light, delicious and timeless. In an era where gin is king and vodka rules, the traditional rum, cola and lime has never lost its appeal.
The Cuba Libre is first thought to have been invented in the American Bar, Havana. The year was 1902 and Cuba had just won independence from Spain. All around, soldiers were singing, dancing and drinking, with chants of ‘Cuba Libre’ or ‘Free Cuba’ filling the air. Captain Russell headed to the bar and ordered a rum, cola and lime. The name for this new cocktail was obvious.
This story was corroborated by Fausto Rodriguez in 1965. The native Cuban man claimed to have been working for Russell at the time the drink was ordered and insisted that his version of events was true. Further evidence points to the fact that Coca-Cola had begun trading on the island for the first time earlier that year. The natives were mixing all kinds of cola-based concoctions at the time. The Cuba Libre was one that stuck.

The original Buena Vista Social Club album was recorded for World Circuit Records over six days at the vintage EGREM studios in Havana. Released in 1997, the album went on to become a worldwide phenomenon, selling over 8 million copies and contributing to the rise in popularity of Cuban, as well as Latin American, music.
Since forming in London in the mid-1980s, World Circuit Records has made its reputation by producing some of the finest albums of the past three decades. The label’s prestigious roster includes Buena Vista Social Club and associated solo artists (including Ibrahim Ferrer, Rubén González, Omara Portuondo and Orlando ‘Cachaíto’ López), Malian blues pioneer Ali Farka Touré, Malian divas and social activists Oumou Sangaré and Fatoumata Diawara, master kora player Toumani Diabaté, the illustrious Orchestra Baobab, musical iconoclast Cheikh Lô, and Fela Kuti’s legendary drummer and co-creator of Afrobeat Tony Allen.
With reissues and brand new releases coming soon, World Circuit continues to bring diverse, genre-defying music to a wider audience.

LYRICS
(Spanish)
De Alto Cedro voy para Marcané
Luego a Cueto voy para Mayarí.
El cariño que te tengo
Yo no lo puedo negar
Se me sale la babita
Yo no lo puedo evitar.
Cuando Juanica y Chan Chan
En el mar cernían arena
Como sacudía el ‘jibe’
A Chan Chan le daba pena.
Limpia el camino de paja
Que yo me quiero sentar
En aquel tronco que veo
Y así no puedo llegar.
De Alto Cedro voy para Marcané
Luego a Cueto voy para Mayarí.
(English)
I’m going from Alto Cedro
to Marcané
Then from Cueto, I’m going
to Mayarí.
The love I have for you I cannot deny
My mouth is watering
I just can’t help myself.
When Juanika and Chan Chan
Sifted sand together on the beach
How her bottom shook and
Chan Chan was aroused!
Clean the dry sugar cane
leaves from the path
So I can get to that trunk
I want to sit down.
I’m going from Alto Cedro
to Marcané
Then from Cueto, I’m going
to Mayarí.

How to make a CUBA LIBRE with LELE | COCKTAIL with RUM [SUB ITA, ENG,ESP]
#cocktail #CubaLibre #Rum #Cocktailswithlele
⏬ ALL THE INFO ⏬
