The wine regions of Bordeaux are a large number of wine growing areas, differing widely in size and sometimes overlapping, which lie within the overarching wine region of Bordeaux, centred on the city of Bordeaux and covering the whole area of the Girondedepartment of Aquitaine.
The Bordeaux region is naturally divided by the Gironde Estuary into a Left Bank area which includes the Médoc and Graves and a Right Bank area which includes the Libournais, Bourg and Blaye. The Médoc is itself divided into Haut-Médoc (the upstream or southern portion) and Bas-Médoc (the downstream or northern portion, often referred to simply as "Médoc").
There are various sub-regions within the Haut-Médoc, including St-Estèphe, Pauillac, St.-Julien and Margaux and the less well known areas of AOC Moulis and Listrac. Graves includes the sub-regions of Pessac-Léognan and Sauternes (among others), and Sauternes in turn includes the sub-region of Barsac. The Libournais includes the sub-regions of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol (among others). There is an additional wine region of Entre-Deux-Mers, so called because it lies between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, which combine to form the Gironde. This region contains several less well known sweet wine areas of Cadillac and St. Croix de Mont.
La Rive Droite (French pronunciation:[la ʁiv dʁwat], The Right Bank) is most associated with the river Seine in central Paris. Here the river flows roughly westwards, cutting the city into two: looking downstream, the northern bank is to the right, and the southern bank (or Rive Gauche) is to the left.
On 28 October 1993 Hungarian cult underground artist Simone Letriech released a series of short musical vignettes themed around the locality, entitled Right Bank Hank. Some of this work has subsequently been shared on various social media channels.
The municipality (commune) of Bordeaux proper has a population of 241,287 (2012). Together with its suburbs and satellite towns Bordeaux is the center of the Bordeaux Métropole, which with 737,492 inhabitants (as of 2012) is the 9th largest in France. It is the capital of the Aquitaine region, as well as the prefecture of the Gironde department. Its inhabitants are called "Bordelais" (for men) or "Bordelaises" (women). The term "Bordelais" may also refer to the city and its surrounding region.
The city's nicknames are "La perle d'Aquitaine" (The Pearl of Aquitaine), and "La Belle Endormie" (Sleeping Beauty) in reference to the old center which had black walls due to pollution. Nowadays, this is not the case. In fact, a part of the city, Le Port de La Lune, was almost completely renovated. Bourdeaux is the city with has the highest number of preserved historical buildings in France, except for Paris.
This is a list of craters on Mars. There are hundreds of thousands of impact craters on Mars, but only some of them have names. This list here only contains named Martian craters starting with the letter A – G (see also lists for H – N and O – Z).
Large Martian craters (greater than 60km in diameter) are named after famous scientists and science fiction authors; smaller ones (less than 60km in diameter) get their names from towns on Earth. Craters cannot be named for living people, and small crater names are not intended to be commemorative - that is, a small crater isn't actually named after a specific town on Earth, but rather its name comes at random from a pool of terrestrial place names, with some exceptions made for craters near landing sites. Latitude and longitude are given as planetographic coordinates with west longitude.

★ 4K 🇫🇷 Paris Saint-Lazare - Rouen Rive Droite cab ride, France [09.2022]
Welcome to another video in France, this time we're starting in Paris following the river Seine northwest to the town of Rouen. Those who watch our last trip in France from Bordeaux to Marseille may recall that we travelled along one of the first railways in France (the section Sète-Ville - Tarscon). The line we're one today also belongs to that category, having opened in 1843.
What I love about the French railway is how interconnected it is (and in many cases was - many lines have been closed.) There are many more options of how to get from A to B than on your typical railways in Switzerland and also a lot of options for turning around. The junctions with former and current connecting lines are labelled during the journey.
If you'd like to follow our journey, I can recommend openrailw...

🇫🇷 Paris, Quays & Bridges, Part 2, Rive Droite, Amazing Walking Tour [4K/60fps]
The Paris Rive Droite Quays, also known as the Quais de Seine, are a series of quays located along the right bank of the Seine River in Paris, France.
The area stretches from the western edge of the city center near the Louvre Museum to the eastern neighborhoods of the city.
The Quais de Seine have undergone significant urban redevelopment in recent years, transforming them into vibrant pedestrian-friendly spaces. The project, known as "Les Berges de Seine," aimed to reclaim the riverbanks for public use and create recreational areas for residents and visitors.
The quays offer a variety of activities and attractions. You can find parks, gardens, cafes, and restaurants along the riverbanks. It's a popular spot for picnics, jogging, cycling, and leisurely strolls. The area also hosts cultur...

Special thanks to Aurélien G. for providing the photo of the train at the start on the bridge. He also has a youtube channel with cab rides in France: https://youtube.com/channel/UCj324jmT7aXT3kTRO41Vaog
