Hi loves, today's oil painting timelapse is a special one because it's my first ever master copy (aka trying to do a study of a painting by a classical master oil painter) 🎨 I chose one of my favorite oil painters of all time, Bouguereau, who has an insane eye for skin tones, anatomy, and composition. Since I am still new to this, I chose to crop one of his paintings, "Psyche", focusing only on the portrait (perhaps I'll do a full body study in the future 😅). I learned SO much from this exercise and I highly recommend it for everyone! Hope you enjoy this video 🥰
Thanks so much for watching,

Brief History of the Renaissance | 5 MINUTES
Have you ever been curious about the History of the Renaissance?
We’re talking about a period of European history, mainly taking place in Italy from the 14th to the 16th Century, bridging the gap between the Middle Ages and modern-day civilization. The word “renaissance” means rebirth – in this case, the rebirth of the classical Greek and Roman arts and philosophy following the Middle ages, an era often branded as a time of war, cultural decline, and pandemics such as the Black Death.
About 5 Minutes:
5 Minutes' mission is to produce Well-researched, Engaging, Simple and Concise History educational material for free.

Sandro Botticelli’s poetic sense of beauty captivated the Florentine court. But it was his subject matter which distinguished him from other artists. He was one of the first western artist since classical times to depict non-religious scenes, and Botticelli’s inclusion of a near life size female nude was revolutionary.
