The 26 states of the German Empire
The German Empire of 1876 consisted of 26 constituent states, most of them ruled by noble families. They included four kingdoms, six grand duchies, five duchies, seven principalities, three free Hanseatic cities, and one imperial territory. Although Prussia was one of several kingdoms in the realm, it contained about two thirds of Germany's population and territory.
Territories were not necessarily contiguous — many existed in several parts (enclaves and exclaves), as a result of historical acquisitions, or, in several cases, divisions of the ruling family trees.

1000th Year of the Rhineland. Germany 5 reichsmark, 1925
The Rhine Province (German: Rheinprovinz), also known as Rhenish Prussia (Rheinpreußen) or synonymous with the Rhineland (Rheinland), was the westernmost province of the Kingdom of Prussia and the Free State of Prussia, within the German Reich, from 1822 to 1946. It was created from the provinces of the Lower Rhine and Jülich-Cleves-Berg. Its capital was Koblenz and in 1939 it had 8 million inhabitants. The Province of Hohenzollern was militarily associated with the Oberpräsident of the Rhine Province. Also, for a short period of time, the Province of Hohenzollern was indirectly and de-facto controlled by the Rhine Province.
The Rhine Province was bounded on the north by the Netherlands, on the east by the Prussian provinces of Westphalia and Hesse-Nassau, and the grand duchy of Hesse-Dar...

More information about the video content bellow:
1. Hesse is a federal state of the Federal Republic of Germany, with just over six million inhabitants. The state is the most important financial center in the country and has one of the strongest economies of any region in Europe. Hessen is a pivot of finance with over 400 banks, the stock exchange and the Bundesbank, the central bank of the Federal Republic of Germany.
2. The Central Hessian region was inhabited in the Upper Paleolithic. Finds of tools in southern Hesse in Rüsselsheim suggest the presence of Pleistocene hunters about 13,000 years ago. The region was later settled by the Germanic Chatti tribe around the 1st century BC, and the name Hesse is a continuation of that tribal name. Their territory was governed by various dynasties of counts beginning in the 10th century, but it was only in 1945 most of the Hessen territories and part of old Nassau were merged to form the state of Greater Hessen.
3. Frankfurt was a city state, the Free City of Frankfurt, for nearly five centuries, and was one of the most important cities of the Holy Roman Empire, as a site of imperial coronations; it lost its sovereignty upon the collapse of the empire in 1806 and then permanently in 1866, when it was annexed by the Kingdom of Prussia. Frankfurt is an alpha world city and a global hub for commerce, culture, education, tourism and transportation. Frankfurt is the major financial centre of the European continent.
4. Hessen is well-known because of Europe's financial metropolis Frankfurt, and Germany's largest airport. It is third largest in Europe in terms of the number of passengers flown, and the second in terms of transported cargo.
5. Wiesbaden is a city in central western Germany and the capital of the federal state of Hesse. Wiesbaden is one of the oldest spa towns in Europe. Its name translates to "meadow baths", a reference to the hot springs. It is internationally famous for its architecture, climate (it is also called the "Nice of the North"), and hot springs. The city is considered the tenth richest in Germany (2014) boasting 110.3% of the national average gross domestic product in 2017.
6. North Hesse is fairy-tale country. The Brothers Grimm lived many years in Kassel, and collected the tales of the region. Sababurg is known as the castle of Sleeping Beauty as it was surrounded by a 5km long and 3m high thorn hedge in the 16th century.
7. Higher education stands at the center of the Hessen economy and society. There are roughly 30 higher education institutions spread throughout the State of Hessen. 100 research institutes across the state work closely with local and international industry and academia, depending on the topics and scope of their research. Over 180 thousand students come here to learn, 25 thousand of which are international students, from almost every country on the planet.

The Rhine Province was bounded on the north by the Netherlands, on the east by the Prussian provinces of Westphalia and Hesse-Nassau, and the grand duchy of Hesse-Darmstadt, on the southeast by the Palatinate (a district of the Kingdom of Bavaria), on the south and southwest by Lorraine, and on the west by Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands.
The small exclave district of Wetzlar, wedged between the grand duchy states Hesse-Nassau and Hesse-Darmstadt was also part of the Rhine Province. The principality of Birkenfeld, on the other hand, was an enclave of the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg, a separate state of the German Empire.
In 1911, the extent of the province was 10,423 km2 (4,024 sq mi); its extreme length, from north to south, was nearly 200 km (120 mi), and its greatest breadth was just under 90 km (56 mi). It included about 200 km (120 mi) of the course of the Rhine, which formed the eastern border of the province from Bingen to Koblenz, and then flows in a north-northwesterly direction inside the province, approximately following its eastern border. It is now part of North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, and Hesse.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.
