In today's true crime documentary, we're covering the disturbing case of Carol Stuart's murder. This true murder story shows, on October 23, 1989, this call came into Massachusetts State Police. It was made from a car phone. Charles Stuart, the man on the phone, had been shot in the stomach. Disoriented and losing blood, he was unable to tell the police which street he was on. Charles and his wife were coming from the hospital because they had just attended a birthing class. Carol Stuart was 7 months pregnant. It took thirteen minutes for the police to get a street name. When they did, they sent police cars to the area, but the street was miles long. They still had no idea where to find Charles and Carol.

Murder in Boston: The Untold Story of the Charles and Carol Stuart Shooting | Episode 7 | HBO
The main suspect might be dead, but this story is far from over. The long-told narrative – some kind of true-crime catnip – suggests the world was fooled by a master manipulator. But that’s not the case. More than 30 years later, Boston Globe investigative reporters dive into the case, unearth secret grand jury files, and obtain never-before-released recordings. The reporters find a conspiracy that was bigger than anybody knew and uncover evidence that suggests someone else may have pulled the trigger.

Napoleonic Wars: Battle for Germany 1813
In 1813, following his disastrous invasion of Russia, Napoleon faced a desperate battle to save his empire. His enemies were gaining in strength, as Prussia and Sweden joined the Sixth Coalition against him, while Russian armies advanced across Poland and into Germany. The French Emperor worked miracles to raise a new Grande Armée of young conscripts, leading them to victory at Lützen and Bautzen. But Napoleon knew everything might ultimately depend on Austria - which side would his father-in-law, Austrian Emperor Francis I, chose to support? In 1813, following his disastrous invasion of Russia, Napoleon faced a desperate battle to save his empire. His enemies were gaining in strength, as Prussia and Sweden joined the Sixth Coalition against him, while Russian armies advanced across Poland and into Germany. The French Emperor worked miracles to raise a new Grande Armée of young conscripts, leading them to victory at Lützen and Bautzen. But Napoleon knew everything might ultimately depend on Austria - which side would his father-in-law, Austrian Emperor Francis I, chose to support? The matter would be settled after a fateful and ill-tempered meeting in Dresden between Napoleon and Austrian foreign minister von Metternich...
