Hitman is a third-personstealth video game in which players take control of Agent 47, an extremely well-trained assassin, travelling to international locations and eliminating contracted targets. As in other games in the series, players are given a large amount of room for creativity in approaching their assassinations. For instance, players may utilise long-ranged rifles to snipe a target from a long distance, or they may decide to assassinate the target at close range by using blade weapons or garrote wire. Players can also use explosives, or disguise the assassination by creating a seemingly accidental death. A common method to approach a mission is to incapacitate other characters and wear their outfits as a disguise, which allows the player to gain access to restricted areas more easily. Actions of the non-playable characters also influence the game. For instance, players can gain more information about the position of their target through listening to a nearby news report.
Hitman is a quiz programme that was produced by Television South and aired on the ITV network for 1 series in 1989, the programme was hosted by Nick Owen. The series had 15 episodes and ran between 21 February to 30 May on Tuesdays. The program was based on the US version, which aired on NBC in 1983 and was hosted by Peter Tomarken.
Gameplay
In the first round, three players watched a film clip and then answered a series of questions about it. Each correct answer earned a "hitman" for the player who gave it. The first two players to earn five hitmen advanced to the next round; the third was eliminated and given a consolation prize consisting of champagne and caviar.
For the second round, each of the remaining two players was given an army of hitmen to defend. The first player who qualified for the round received nine hitmen, while the second player received eight. They watched a new film clip and answered questions about it, with each correct answer eliminating one of the opponent's hitmen. The first player to wipe out all of his/her opponent's hitmen won the game and advanced to the final round for a chance to win up to £3,000.
The pilot first aired in 2007, and it was later re-aired on the incubator series Random! Cartoons on Nicktoons Network. The pilot eventually leaked onto the internet and became a cult hit on YouTube. After Nickelodeon declined to turn the short into a full-fledged show, Cartoon Network purchased the rights, and Adventure Time launched as a series on April 5, 2010. Season seven, which also contains a special mini-series, began airing on November 2, 2015. The show has also been renewed for an eighth season, and a feature-length film—which is being developed by Chris McKay and Roy Lee—is also in the works. Each Adventure Time episode is about eleven minutes in length; pairs of episodes are often telecast in order to fill a half hour program time slot. The first four seasons each contain 26 episodes, the fifth contains 52 episodes, and the sixth contains 43 episodes. For the first five and a half seasons, the show aired on Monday nights. However, starting with the sixth season episode "Breezy", the show began to shift both its timeslot and its day of airing.
