This is a remix/tribute video. I have created the video from existing footage and have sweetened the track with drum samples, clapping, cowbells, tambourines, cymbal crashes.... and anything else that felt right. I always try to preserve the "original" song that we all know and love ... while giving it just a little kick in the butt. Hope you like it.

The Partridge Family Opening TV Theme Song 1970
The Partridge Family Opening Theme Song. In the pilot episode this group of musical siblings convinces their mother to help them out by singing with them as they record a pop song in their garage. Through the efforts of the 10-year-old son Danny, they find a manager who helps make the song a Top-40 hit. After some more convincing, Mom finally agrees that the family can go on tour. They acquire an old school bus, paint it and depart to Las Vegas for their first live gig at Caesars Palace.
Each subsequent episode features the band performing in various locations and types of venues. The shows would often contrast their suburban life with the adventures of a show-biz family "on the road". After the first season the show focused more on the "at home" themes and less on their touring. The se...

Each subsequent episode features the band performing in various locations and types of venues. The shows would often contrast their suburban life with the adventures of a show-biz family "on the road". After the first season the show focused more on the "at home" themes and less on their touring. The series originally ran from September 25, 1970 until August 31, 1974 on the ABC television network, as part of the Friday night lineup following The Brady Bunch. It had a few subsequent runs in syndication.
Created by Bernard Slade, the series was inspired by and loosely based on The Cowsills, a real pop music family famous in the late Sixties. In fact, in its early development, the Cowsill children were actually approached by the producers to be featured on The Partridge Family, though the children rejected the offer when they learned their real-life mother and band member Barbara would not be included in the cast. Shirley Jones had already been signed as mother Shirley Partridge and star of the show. The remaining Partridge children were played by David Cassidy (Jones' real-life stepson) as her eldest son Keith, Susan Dey as Laurie, Danny Bonaduce as Danny, Jeremy Gelbwaks as Chris and Suzanne Crough as Tracy. Dave Madden played Reuben Kincaid, who was their manager and family friend. After the first season, the dark-haired Gelbwaks was replaced by a blond actor, Brian Forster. It was reported by teen magazines in 1971 that this was because his family simply moved away.

Every member of the cast won over the hearts of viewers. That was especially true of David Cassidy. He became a ’70s heartthrob and pinup beloved by teen girls around the world. That included his costar, Susan Day. She had a major crush on him. He revealed it all in his tell-air memoir, but he may have gone a bit too far. He regrets losing her as a friend.
David denies that there was any feuding between any other costars. He says that they were as close as family and worked together to help each other. He does admit that no one has spoken to Susan since the incident. He tried to send her an apology letter but got no response.
That meant that she was also absent from a recent Partridge Family reunion. She’s refused to appear in any other material related to the show. Susan’s career thrived after The Patridge Family ended. Her stint on L.A. Law gave her another memorable character to portray. That lasted for even longer than the role that made her famous. The private star is now retired and living with her family. There are details about her distancing herself from the Partridge Family that may go unknown forever. Others are as plain as the words in David’s memoir.

The Partridge Family is an American musical television sitcom series starring Shirley Jones and featuring David Cassidy. Jones is a widowed mother, and Cassidy plays the oldest of her five children who embark on a music career. It ran from September 25, 1970, until March 23, 1974, on the ABC network as part of a Friday-night lineup, and had subsequent runs in syndication.
The family was loosely based on the real-life musical family The Cowsills, a popular band in the late 1960s and early 1970s. In the pilot episode, a group of musical siblings in the fictitious city of San Pueblo, California convinces their widowed mother and bank teller, Shirley Partridge, to help them out by singing as they record a pop song in their garage.
Through the efforts of precocious ten-year-old Danny, they find a manager, Reuben Kincaid, who helps make the song a Top 40 hit. After more persuading, Shirley agrees that the family can go on tour. They acquire an old school bus, a 1957 Chevrolet Series 6800 Superior, for touring, paint it with Mondrian-inspired patterns, and depart to Las Vegas, Nevada for their first live gig at Caesars Palace. Subsequent episodes usually feature the band performing in various venues or in their garage. The shows often contrast suburban life with the adventures of a show business family on the road. After the first season, more of the show's action takes place in their home town rather than on tour.
