The Nebraska women's volleyball team has won four NCAA Women's Volleyball National Championships, in 1995, 2000, 2006, and 2015. The Cornhuskers have had three NCAA National Runner-Up finishes, in 1986, 1989, and 2005, as well as five other NCAA National Semifinal (Final Four) appearances in 1990, 1996, 1998, 2001 and 2008, bringing the program total to 12 NCAA Final Four appearances. Nebraska also is one of only three programs east of the west coast to have won a NCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship.
The Husker Volleyball program started in 1975. Nebraska is the most winning program since 2000 when John Cook became head coach. Since 1988, Nebraska has been in the top 16 every year in the final CBS College Sports/AVCA National Poll and been in the top 5 sixteen of those years. They are one of only two programs in the country to be ranked in every AVCA poll since its inception in 1982. The Huskers have had more combined AVCA 1st and 2nd team All-Americans than any other program with 69, and has produced 4 AVCA National Player of the Year award winners.
The Cornhuskers became known for their comebacks this year, as they came back after trailing by double digits during four conference games. These wins included a 30–27 victory over Wisconsin (Nebraska down 27–10 early in 3rd quarter), Northwestern (down 28–16 with 5 minutes to go), Michigan State (down 24–14 early in 4th quarter), and Penn State (down 20–6 at halftime).

Game notes
Southern Miss
The Huskers started the 2012 football season off with a home win against Southern Miss. The Huskers are now 3–1 against the Golden Eagles with the only loss being from the last time these teams faced each other in 2004. This game started a three game home-away-home series with additional meetings in 2013 and 2015. The 2013 meeting was scheduled to be played at Southern Miss, but the game was moved to Lincoln as an attempt to earn more money. Southern Miss also thought about scheduling the game in New Orleans or Kansas City before deciding to give Nebraska an eighth home game in 2013.
The 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers football team represented the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and was the national champion of the 1995 NCAA Division I-A football season. The team was coached by Tom Osborne and played their home games in Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Cornhuskers scored 638 points (53.2 per game) while only allowing 174 (14.5 per game). Their average margin of victory was 38.6 points, and their lowest margin of victory, against Washington State, was 14 points. They are often regarded as one of the greatest college football teams of all time.
The Cornhuskers successfully defended their national championship by beating Florida in the Fiesta Bowl 62–24. Nebraska also won the final Big Eight Conference football championship in the long-time round-robin format before the conference added four members of the disbanded Southwest Conference to become the Big 12 Conference the following season, splitting into two divisions and launching a conference championship game.
The Cornhuskers finished the season 10–4, 6–2 in the Big 12 and were co champions of the North Division with Missouri. Due to their victory over Missouri, Nebraska represented the North Division in the 2010 Big 12 Championship Game where they were defeated by Oklahoma 20–23. They were invited to the Holiday Bowl for the second consecutive season and played Washington. Despite defeating the Huskies 56–21 during the regular season, the Cornhuskers were defeated 19–7.
Before the season
The 2010 Cornhuskers took to the field on Saturday, September 4, 2010 against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. The Cornhuskers carried on despite losing a handful of key personnel losses to graduation after 2009, especially Heisman-candidate and #2 overall NFL draft pick DT Ndamukong Suh. The Nebraska coaching staff remained intact for the third straight year, since the return of Bo Pelini to the program.
Nebraskai/nəˈbræskə/ is a state that lies in both the Great Plains and the Midwestern United States. Its state capital is Lincoln. Its largest city is Omaha, which is on the Missouri River. The state is crossed by many historic trails and was explored by the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The California Gold Rush brought the first large numbers of non-indigenous settlers to the area. Nebraska was admitted as the 37th state of the United States in 1867. The climate has wide variations between winter and summer temperatures, and violent thunderstorms and tornadoes are common. The state is characterized by treeless prairie, which is ideal for cattle-grazing. It is a major producer of beef, as well as pork, corn, and soybeans. The largest ancestry group claimed by Nebraskans is German American. The state also has the largest per capita population of Czech Americans among U.S. states.
Etymology
Nebraska's name is derived from transliteration of the archaic Otoe words Ñí Brásge, pronounced [ɲĩbɾasꜜkɛ] (contemporary Otoe Ñí Bráhge), or the OmahaNí Btháska, pronounced [nĩbɫᶞasꜜka], meaning "flat water", after the Platte River that flows through the state.
Sparsely-recorded on a cassette-tape Portastudio, the tracks on Nebraska were originally intended as demos of songs to be recorded with the E Street Band. However, Springsteen ultimately decided to release the demos himself. Nebraska remains one of the most highly regarded albums in his catalogue. The songs on Nebraska both deal with ordinary, blue collar characters who face a challenge or a turning point in their lives, but also outsiders, criminals and mass murderers, who have little hope for the future - or no future at all, as in the title track, where the main character is sentenced to death in the electric chair. Unlike his previous albums, very little salvation and grace is present within the songs. The album's uncompromising sound and mood, combined with its dark lyrical content has been described by a music critic as "one of the most challenging albums ever released by a major star on a major record label."

1995 Nebraska Football - A Decade of Dominance
I had to edit out 10 seconds of the ASU highlights. For some reason the video got blocked because of footage from one play. Someone "owns" that plays footage (but not others?) and wanted the video removed. Oddly enough I have only had one other video blocked out of around 200 that I have uploaded. That game was the 1996 ASU game. Both times it was ASU footage. I will let you come to your own conclusions.

When talking about the greatest College Football teams ever, 2001 Miami and 2019 LSU are a few that come to mind. 1995 Nebraska is also in that conversation, and might be the most dominant of them all.
An unstoppable run game and a stifling run defense helped the Cornhuskers repeat as National Champions.

We (just Daniel this time) take a numbers driven approach to determine who the best team in College Football history is. Does 95 Nebraska's unstoppable attacke with Tommie Frazier and Lawrence Phillips take the crown? What about the ultra talented 01 Miami Hurricanes? How does Joe Burrow and the 2019 LSU Tiger team stack up?
