The Parti National Social Chrétien (English: National Social Christian Party) was a Canadianpolitical party formed by Adrien Arcand in February 1934. The party identified with antisemitism, and German leader Adolf Hitler'sNazism. The party was later known, in English, as the Canadian National Socialist Unity Party or National Unity Party.
1930s
The party was formed by Adrien Arcand in February 1934. It was known in English as the Christian National Socialist Party. Arcand was a Quebec-based fascist and antisemite. An admirer of Adolf Hitler, Arcand referred to himself as the "Canadian führer".
In October 1934, the party merged with the Canadian Nationalist Party, which was based in the Prairie provinces. By the mid-1930s, the party had some success, with a few thousand members mainly concentrated in Quebec, British Columbia and Alberta.
In June 1938, it merged with Nazi and other racist clubs in Ontario and Quebec, many of which were known as Swastika clubs, to form the National Unity Party at a national convention held in Kingston, Ontario. At a time of English-French Canadian tension, Arcand tried to create a pan-Canadian (English and French) nationalist political movement. It was based on the National Socialist (Nazi) Party in Germany. Arcand then proceeded to Toronto where his new party held a rally of 800 supporters at Massey Hall. However, the anti-fascist Canadian League for Peace and Democracy held a simultaneous rally of 10,000 people at Maple Leaf Gardens in opposition to Arcand.
The National Unity Party (in Albanian: Partia e Unitetit Kombėtar) is a political party in Albania. Ahead of the 2005 parliamentary elections, PUK formed a coalition together with three other parties grouped in the "Parties of the Social Spectrum of Albania". The coalition contested the elections as Parties of the Social Spectrum of Albania - National Unity Party (PSSSH-PUK). PSSSH-PUK failed to win any seats.
Canada (i/ˈkænədə/; French: [ka.na.da]) is a country in the northern part of North America. Its ten provinces and three territories extend from the Atlantic to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean, covering 9.98million square kilometres (3.85million square miles), making it the world's second-largest country by total area and the fourth-largest country by land area. Canada's border with the United States is the world's longest land border. Canada is sparsely populated, the majority of its land territory being dominated by forest and tundra and the Rocky Mountains; about four-fifths of the country's population of 35 million people live near the southern border. The majority of Canada has a cold or severely cold winter climate, but southerly areas are warm in summer.
The land now called Canada has been inhabited for millennia by various Aboriginal peoples. Beginning in the 15th century, British and French colonies were established on the Atlantic coast, with the first establishment of a region called "Canada" occurring in 1537. As a consequence of various conflicts, the United Kingdom gained and lost territories within British North America until left, in the late 18th century, with what mostly geographically comprises Canada today. Pursuant to the British North America Act, on July 1, 1867, the colonies of Canada, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotiajoined to form the autonomous federal Dominion of Canada. This began an accretion of provinces and territories to the self-governing Dominion to the present ten provinces and three territories forming modern Canada. In 1931, Canada achieved near total independence from the United Kingdom with the Statute of Westminster 1931, and full sovereignty was attained when the Canada Act 1982 removed the last remaining ties of legal dependence on the British parliament.
Provinces of the Anglican Church of Canada are headed by a Metropolitan, elected from among the province's diocesan bishops. This bishop then becomes Archbishop of his or her diocese and Metropolitan of the Province. The current Metropolitan of the Province of Canada is the Most Rev. Percy D. Coffin, Archbishop of Western Newfoundland.
Canadian Nationalist Party concerned about release of members' identities
An anti-hate group plans to expose the names of hundreds of supporters of the Canadian Nationalist Party. The far-right group became eligible to register as an official political party for the upcoming federal election, but a former police chief has warned the public shaming members of the public could be dangerous.

As Matt Bingley explains, Singh is also seeking a rare moment of political unity from his competition, to help spread the message on vaccines.

The Honourable Preston Manning is one of the few in our national history to accomplish the incredible feat of beginning a successful new federal political party, the Reform Party of Canada. It eventually became the modern day Conservative Party of Canada and went on to form government federally.
He’s been deemed the father of modern day Canadian conservatism and has a long list of accomplishments. They include serving as Member of Parliament for almost a decade, receiving several honourary degrees from various Canadian Universities, the establishment of the Manning Centre for Building Democracy (now the Strong and Free Network) and has written several books such as “Think Big”, My Adventures in Life and Democracy”, “Do Something, 365 Ways You Can Strengthen Canada”, “Faith, Leadership and Public Life” along with several others.
He is with us today to give his perspective on multiple critical issues for the future of our nation.
In this interview, we discuss national unity (western alienation and aspirations), his political history and principled politics in Canada.
This is part 1 of 2. The 2nd part will air next week and in it we discuss several other issues as well.

Serbia launches new holiday marking national unity
(15 Sep 2021) Serbia kicked off a new holiday on Wednesday celebrating national unity with a display of military power, triggering unease among its neighbours.
The new holiday comes decades after similar calls for unity led to the bloody wars in the Balkans in the 1990s.
Serbs in the region were told to display thousands of red, blue and white national flags wherever they live in the region or the world to mark "The Day of Serb Unity, Freedom and the National Flag."
Serbian officials are calling for the creation of a "Serb World," or political unification of an estimated 1.3 million Serbs who live in Bosnia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Croatia with Serbia.

ALBANIA-KOSOVO | Could They Really UNITE?
There has been increased discussion about the possibility of unification between Albania and Kosovo. Importantly, the idea has been explicitly supported by the leaders of Kosovo's largest political party and its new prime minister, Albin Kurti. It also seems to have the support of the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama. But it is an idea that is also extremely controversial and has been repeatedly rejected by the wider international community, including most of Kosovo and Albania's Western partners. So, what lies behind the idea of unification? And could Kosovo and Albania really unite?

Russia - Anti-Fascists Youth Demo / Rus.Nat.Union

Teenagers took to the streets in Moscow, outside the Ministry of
Defence on Tuesday (14/11), in protest against the perceived
rising tide of Fascism in the country. The protest, by members of
the Anti-Fascist Youth Action movement, takes place against a
background of increasing concern at the growing development of
Fascism by observers. According to Valeria Novodvorskaya, human
rights expert and democratic activist: "Fascists are quite
confidently coming to power." She said there were all the
necessary conditions for the creation of a Fascist regime in
Russia. The movement numbers only 350 members compared with 25,000 of the Russian National Union. The Union is one of the several right-wing nationalist organisations in Russ...

(10 Mar 1997) English/Nat
With southern Albania slipping away from his control town by town, President Sali Berisha agreed Sunday to a broad coalition government and new elections.
Berisha also held talks with the Italian Foreign Minister Lamberto Dini, who said there should be no military solution to end the uprising and anarchy that has prevailed in the south of the country for a week.
Meanwhile the funeral has taken place of a young man killed by a stray bullet in southern Albania.
The twenty-four-year-old was shot by his younger brother with a gun looted from an army barracks in Gjirokastra, the latest town to fall into rebel hands.
The Italian Foreign Minister arrived in Tirana on Sunday night for talks with Albanian President Sali Berisha.
Lamberto Dini told Berisha there should be no military solution to the chaos in the south of the country, where mob rule has prevailed for a week.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
"I don't think there is a need for a military intervention. The solution must be a political solution, and the search for pacification and reconciliation. This is how the political forces present in Albania now intend to proceed. This is also the desire of the international community."
SUPER CION: Lamberto Dini, Italian Foreign Minister
Dini also told Berisha that a new government should be formed and efforts made to repay the millions who've lost their savings in failed pyramid schemes.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
"This is a matter that will have to be decided by the new government that is going to be formed. When a situation like this happens, not everyone can be compensated. You know it's not a game - a sum zero game. There will be those who have gained and those who have lost. I think there will be the objective of the new government to see to it that the situation that has been created, and more extreme or harsh conditions as a result, that will be taken care of one way or another."
SUPER CION: Lamberto Dini, Italian Foreign Minister
Berisha and leaders of all the Albanian political parties signed an agreement Sunday, calling for a national unity government and elections.
Heavily armed, meanwhile, the rebels are consolidating their position in the south, despite the further government concessions.
The people of Gjirokastra mourned and celebrated Sunday, the day after the southern town fell into rebel hands.
A grieving crowd gathered for the funeral of a 24-year-old man.
Stefan Muci was shot accidentally by his 11-year-old brother with a gun looted from the fleeing government army.
A large crowd of people turned out to pay their last respects.
Many carried arms looted during the fall of the town.
The funeral aside, the rebels were celebrating the cure of the town from government forces.
Rebel tanks guarded the latest jewel in the militants' crown -- a government helicopter cured Saturday when the town fell.
They stormed the army garrison and used tanks they had seized previously to take control of its military airport.
The thousand or so soldiers guarding the base, one of the largest in the country, quickly switched allegiance.
Rebels and residents of the town -- hometown of former Albania dictator Enver Hoxha -- wasted no time in gathering up cured weapons.
A stream of cars, trucks and donkeys, all loaded with ammunition, could be seen leaving the army base.
Residents believe the government had planned to use the town as a base of operations against Saranda to the west and Tepelena to the north.

The creation of an independent Albania in 1913 left almost half the Albanian people living in neighbouring states. As a result, many Albanians have long supported the idea of unification between the Albanian speaking territories of the Western Balkans. However, others are more modest and propose to focus on unification between Kosovo and Albania. But could this happen? While the idea may be superficially appealing, it isn't clear whether it would really enjoy widespread support. More to the point, there are huge legal and political impediments to the idea.

The creation of an independent Albania in 1913 left almost half the Albanian people living in neighbouring states. As a result, many Albanians have long supported the idea of unification between the Albanian speaking territories of the Western Balkans. However, others are more modest and propose to focus on unification between Kosovo and Albania. But could this happen? While the idea may be superficially appealing, it isn't clear whether it would really enjoy widespread support. More to the point, there are huge legal and political impediments to the idea.

The Union is one of the several right-wing nationalist organisations in Russia. The goals of the RNU, which legally exists under the current Russian constitution, movement are simple: the establishment of a strong, unified autocratic Russian nationalist state held together by firm rigid discipline and enforced by the revived powerful security service and military.

An anti-hate group plans to expose the names of hundreds of supporters of the Canadian Nationalist Party. The far-right group became eligible to register as an official political party for the upcoming federal election, but a former police chief has warned the public shaming members of the public could be dangerous.

The dismissal of candidate Raj Saini due to misconduct allegations continues to follow Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau on the campaign trail. Saini, who was seeking re-election in the riding of Kitchener Centre, exited the campaign Saturday, amid allegations of inapproriate behaviour toward his staffers, and after the party initially backed him. As Abigail Bimman reports, Trudeau did offer up one new tidbit about what prompted Saini's departure, but didn't say much else.
Meanwhile, being dogged by questions over his vague stance on gun control, Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole now says his party will uphold the Liberal's 2020 assault style weapon ban, despite his platform pledging to repeal it. As Mike Le Couteur explains, the last-minute flip flop could be in response to opponents' weaponizing O'Toole's lack of clarity.
And campaigning in Ottawa, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh says Canada is in urgent need of a national vaccine passport, as the country grapples with the fourth wave of COVID-19.

The creation of an independent Albania in 1913 left almost half the Albanian people living in neighbouring states. As a result, many Albanians have long supported the idea of unification between the Albanian speaking territories of the Western Balkans. However, others are more modest and propose to focus on unification between Kosovo and Albania. But could this happen? While the idea may be superficially appealing, it isn't clear whether it would really enjoy widespread support. More to the point, there are huge legal and political impediments to the idea.
