Moi dix Mois
Moi dix Mois is a Japanese visual kei gothic metal band, founded in 2002 by Mana after Malice Mizer paused activities. The guitarist and sole songwriter has been the only constant member in a series of lineup changes, and the band's material is released on his own record label Midi:Nette.
Biography
History
March 19, 2002, approximately three months after Malice Mizer announced their indefinite hiatus, Mana announced the formation of his solo project, Moi dix Mois. Their first single, "Dialogue Symphonie", was released October 19 of the same year.
Moi dix Mois played their first concerts outside Japan in March 2005 in Munich, Germany and Paris, France as part of their Invite to Immorality Tour. After the tour's final show on April 24, 2005 in Tokyo, singer Juka left the band.
A new phase of the band began on March 1, 2006, when they released the album, Beyond the Gate. This featured a new vocalist named Seth. Before the album was released, Mana indicated that the sound would be the beginning of a renewed direction for the band, possibly more integrated towards electronic music. After the announcement of the Beyond the Gate release was made, Seth was revealed as the new vocalist, and it was announced that Kazuno (bass) and Tohru (drums) were both leaving the group.

The 1973 National 500 was a NASCAR Winston Cup Series racing event that took place on October 7, 1973, at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the American community of Concord, North Carolina.
Summary
334 laps took place on a paved track spanning 1.500 miles (2.414 km) with two cautions given out for sixteen laps. However, the race took three hours and twenty-six minutes to finish with Cale Yarborough defeating Richard Petty by a time of 1.4 seconds. Yarborough and Petty would lap the field three times before retrieving the checkered flag.David Pearson won the official pole position with a speed of 158.315 miles per hour (254.783 km/h) - which was equivalent to 34.109 seconds. Sixty-four thousand people attended this live racing event.
Harry Gant would make his racing debut here; ultimately finishing in 11th place.Dick Trickle also made his debut here, finishing an impressive fifth. Wendell Scott would retire after this race; making a 12th place finish in this event.Buddy Baker would become the last-place finisher here due to a disqualification on lap 228. What made this race extra important to drivers was that $100 was given out for every lap that a driver led ($533.06 when adjusted for inflation). Yarborough and Petty were said to have engines in their cars that exceeded the horsepower permitted by NASCAR during that era. Bobby Allison filed a complaint with Bill France, Jr. which resulted in a 6-hour meeting and "satisfactory restitution."

The 1976 National 500 was a NASCAR Winston Cup Series racing event that took place on October 10, 1976, at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the American community of Concord, North Carolina.
By 1980, NASCAR had completely stopped tracking the year model of all the vehicles and most teams did not take stock cars to the track under their own power anymore.

A souvenir magazine was offered to the spectators at a cost of $3 USD per copy ($12.48 when adjusted for inflation). Another race took place the previous day known as the World Service Life 300; a companion race that accompanied the National 500 during the course of the 1970s.
Forty American-born drivers competed at this race; the winner received $22,435 out of the total prize purse ($93,295.49 when adjusted for inflation). Last-place finisher Al Holbert received only $855 for his engine problem of lap 7 out of the scheduled 334 laps of the race ($3,555.5 in when adjusted for inflation). Janet Guthrie was the only female competitor in this three-hour-and-thirty-two-minute race. After three cautions for eighteen laps and 26 lead changes, Donnie Allison defeated Cale Yarborough in front of 74500 other people. David Pearson qualified for the pole position with a top speed of 161.223 miles per hour (259.463 km/h) while the average racing speed was 141.226 miles per hour (227.281 km/h). His next pole position achievement would be at the 1977 World 600.

Plant breeding is the art and science of changing the traits of plants in order to produce desired characteristics. Plant breeding has been practiced for thousands of years, since near the beginning of human civilization. Historically, beauty pageants have been seen as competitions to judge and rank women on their physical attributes, a concept that is the complete opposite of what modesty is all about. These competitions have gained popularity all over the world especially here in the African continent, since the 1900s, adding judgment categories over the years such as talent, intelligence, and public speaking. To this day, they are annual events with multiple regional, national, and international pageants all leading up to the Miss Universe pageant.
“Modesty may be subjective, but the most common definitions of it would include moderation in how one presents themselves with humility, humbleness, and demureness. This comes through in modest fashion through the ideas of not showing off of one’s figure and skin, and keeping a balanced, respectable look” said Millicent Selahle (Founder of Miss Modest Pageant).
Beauty pageants on the other hand objectify women, scoring them on their levels of attractiveness and how they dress. Modesty, in its traditional sense, does not fit into the culture of beauty pageants. The glitz and glam and focus on appearances, are far from what the ideals of modesty or what modest fashion follow, however, the Miss Modesty Pageant is a step in the right direction, and an innovative way to highlight young Women within a framework that promotes positive role models in the community.

“I have to apologise,” Harvey said to a stunned crowd.
“There’s been a mistake.
“The first runner-up is Colombia. Miss Universe 2015 is Philippines!”
A horrified Gutierrez was then subjected to the indignity of having her crown and sash removed in front of a global television audience.
Harvey said the “horrible mistake” was entirely his after he read the card in his hand incorrectly.
“It was still a great night, please don’t hold it against the ladies,” he said.
The disaster mirrored the finale of Australia’s Next Top Model in 2010, when host Sarah Murdoch too announced the wrong winner.
Miss Australia Monika Radulovic, 25, was selected for the final five from 83 countries and drew praise after she unveiled her Dame Edna-inspired national costume.
The eye-catching outfit was designed by Sydney’s Timothy Cubbo.
She was asked by the judges on her take on legalising marijuana in Australia, and responded that while allowing use had some proven benefits, the government would need to consider both sides of the proposal.
Ms Radulovic boasts an honours degree in psychology and is the daughter of immigrants who fled war-torn Bosnia 20 years ago.
The last Australian to win the Miss Universe title was Jennifer Hawkins in 2004.
The competition has been surrounded by controversy this year, with US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump forced to relinquish his ownership of the pageant after his controversial remarks on Hispanic Americans.

Beauty pageants and modesty are certainly not the usual combinations of words that come together in a sentence. Historically, beauty pageants have been seen as competitions to judge and rank women on their physical attributes, a concept that is the complete opposite of what modesty is all about. These competitions have gained popularity all over the world especially here in the African continent, since the 1900s, adding judgment categories over the years such as talent, intelligence, and public speaking. To this day, they are annual events with multiple regional, national, and international pageants all leading up to the Miss Universe pageant.
“Modesty may be subjective, but the most common definitions of it would include moderation in how one presents themselves with humility, humbleness, and demureness. This comes through in modest fashion through the ideas of not showing off of one’s figure and skin, and keeping a balanced, respectable look” said Millicent Selahle (Founder of Miss Modest Pageant).
Beauty pageants on the other hand objectify women, scoring them on their levels of attractiveness and how they dress. Modesty, in its traditional sense, does not fit into the culture of beauty pageants. The glitz and glam and focus on appearances, are far from what the ideals of modesty or what modest fashion follow, however, the Miss Modesty Pageant is a step in the right direction, and an innovative way to highlight young Women within a framework that promotes positive role models in the community.

The Miss Universe competition in Las Vegas has descended into farce after the host announced the wrong winner of the title.
Comedian and television personality Steve Harvey announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez had won over Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo to rapturous applause at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
After being presented with her crown, a sheepish Harvey had to inform the audience and Gutierrez he had read the wrong name on the card in front of him.
“I have to apologise,” Harvey said to a stunned crowd.
“There’s been a mistake.
“The first runner-up is Colombia. Miss Universe 2015 is Philippines!”
A horrified Gutierrez was then subjected to the indignity of having her crown and sash removed in front of a global television audience.
Harvey said the “horrible mistake” was entirely his after he read the card in his hand incorrectly.
“It was still a great night, please don’t hold it against the ladies,” he said.
The disaster mirrored the finale of Australia’s Next Top Model in 2010, when host Sarah Murdoch too announced the wrong winner.
Miss Australia Monika Radulovic, 25, was selected for the final five from 83 countries and drew praise after she unveiled her Dame Edna-inspired national costume.
The eye-catching outfit was designed by Sydney’s Timothy Cubbo.
She was asked by the judges on her take on legalising marijuana in Australia, and responded that while allowing use had some proven benefits, the government would need to consider both sides of the proposal.
Ms Radulovic boasts an honours degree in psychology and is the daughter of immigrants who fled war-torn Bosnia 20 years ago.
The last Australian to win the Miss Universe title was Jennifer Hawkins in 2004.
The competition has been surrounded by controversy this year, with US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump forced to relinquish his ownership of the pageant after his controversial remarks on Hispanic Americans.

She is currently studying a Diploma in nutrition, health and fitness.
On 27 October 2019, Tajiya was crowned winner of Miss Cook Islands 2019 at a ceremony held at National Auditorium, Rarotonga, Cook Islands. On 14 December 2019, Tajiya reached the top twelve at Miss World 2019 and gained the title Miss World Oceania 2019.
Moi dix Mois
Moi dix Mois is a Japanese visual kei gothic metal band, founded in 2002 by Mana after Malice Mizer paused activities. The guitarist and sole songwriter has been the only constant member in a series of lineup changes, and the band's material is released on his own record label Midi:Nette.
Biography
History
March 19, 2002, approximately three months after Malice Mizer announced their indefinite hiatus, Mana announced the formation of his solo project, Moi dix Mois. Their first single, "Dialogue Symphonie", was released October 19 of the same year.
Moi dix Mois played their first concerts outside Japan in March 2005 in Munich, Germany and Paris, France as part of their Invite to Immorality Tour. After the tour's final show on April 24, 2005 in Tokyo, singer Juka left the band.
A new phase of the band began on March 1, 2006, when they released the album, Beyond the Gate. This featured a new vocalist named Seth. Before the album was released, Mana indicated that the sound would be the beginning of a renewed direction for the band, possibly more integrated towards electronic music. After the announcement of the Beyond the Gate release was made, Seth was revealed as the new vocalist, and it was announced that Kazuno (bass) and Tohru (drums) were both leaving the group.
