Namibia: Live stream in the Namib Desert
Live feed, from a waterhole in the heart of Namibia
Complementing the magnificence of the Namib Desert’s never-ending red sand dunes, Namibia Cam’s waterhole lies within the Gondwana Namib Park - bordering the Namib Naukluft Park.
In this park, all man-made barriers have been removed, creating a space over 56,540 square kilometers (meaning 21,830 sq mi) - wildlife moves freely between the two parks and the other privately owned guest farms.
In Gondwana Namib Park the Namib experience covers two sides. Three, in fact, as under the reddish sand there is brown sandstone – the fossilised dunes of an ancient Namib. Then there is the World Heritage Site of ‘Namib Sand Sea’, and only 60 km further south, the Namib shows yet another face: the valley of the ephemeral Tsauchab River – which cuts...

Ocean of Sand - The Namib Desert | Free Nature Documentary
As if it were an ocean of golden sand, the Namib covers a large part of Namibia. It is the only desert on earth which reaches the ocean.
The Namib seems to be inhospitable but this impression deceives. The desert is home to the side winder snake the endemic Namib desert beetle and the desert elephants.
The Namib desert beetle for example uses the moisture of the clouds that drive inland from the sea. At the peak of the sand dunes he waits until the humidity condenses at his body. But this makes himself an attractive water supply for his enemies. The desert elephants are not only equipped with bigger ears than other elephants. Namib Desert, Namibia. 8K 360 aerial video.
Don't forget that this is 360 video: you can change the angle of view.
Namib is the oldest desert on earth. It has existed unchanged for 80 million years, in fact, since the time of the dinosaurs. Namibia is a country of contrasts — ocean and desert, traditions and civilization, wealth and poverty. Namibia is one of the most sparsely populated countries in the world. In the south of the country is the Fish River - the largest canyon in Africa, and in the north of the country — the largest meteorite ever found. Here you can see one of the most desolate landscapes on earth, as well as the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Yellowish sands in the northern part and rich reds in the south create a feeling of an unearthly landscape — it's just another planet!

Africa by Toto to play 'for all eternity' in Namib desert
Namibian-German artist Max Siedentopf has set up a solar-powered sound installation in the coastal Namib Desert to play the soft-rock classic on a loop. He has chosen an undisclosed spot in the desert to set up six speakers attached to an MP3 player with the single track on it and promises that it will run 'for all eternity'.

Then there is the World Heritage Site of ‘Namib Sand Sea’, and only 60 km further south, the Namib shows yet another face: the valley of the ephemeral Tsauchab River – which cuts through the surging sand-sea and ends in famed Sossusvlei.
But along with the fossilised dunes, Namib Sand Sea and Tsauchab River, a glorious new display has risen.
Built in 2006, the special character of this waterhole, has not only an impact on the surrounding wildlife, but stretches across the globe, from home to home. This particular waterhole is situated within an open plain, 8km from Namib Desert Lodge.
A solar-powered borehole fills a nearby reservoir and is monitored by a water float that opens as the waterhole’s levels decline.
Being situated within a remote destination like the Namib Desert, intermittent interruptions are likely to occur at times.

They also walk on bigger feet to avoid sinking into the soft sand. The leading cow of the herd uses the oversized sensible feet to feel the vibrations of flowing water underneath the surface.

Also here is the answer for a frequently asked question about true resolution of an 8K 360° video. Unlike standard videos, in a 360° video you can see only a part of original image (approximately 30 degrees out of 360). As a result, the real resolution of the part you can see isn't bigger than 1.3K.
