The Rascals were inducted into the Hit Parade Hall of Fame in 2010 and also reunited in 2012 for a series of shows in New York and New Jersey. The reunion continued on in 2013 with shows on Broadway.
History
Eddie Brigati (vocals), Felix Cavaliere (keyboard, vocals), Gene Cornish (guitar) and Dino Danelli (drums) started the band in Brigati and Danelli's hometown of Garfield, New Jersey. Brigati, Cavaliere, and Cornish had previously been members of Joey Dee and the Starliters. Eddie's brother, David Brigati, an original Starliter, helped arrange the vocal harmonies and sang backgrounds on many of the group's recordings (informally earning the designation as the "fifth Rascal"). When Atlantic Records signed them, they discovered that another group, Borrah Minnevitch's and Johnny Puleo's 'Harmonica Rascals', objected to their release of records under the name 'The Rascals'. To avoid conflict, manager Sid Bernstein decided to rename the group 'The Young Rascals'.
In August 2009, it was announced that Miles Kane had left The Rascals to focus on a solo career.
History
Early years
Hailing from Hoylake (The Wirral, on Merseyside) in England, the band began jamming and writing material as a three piece in September 2007.
The Rascals were immediately signed to Deltasonic Records and played their first gig supporting bands including Arctic Monkeys.
Initial releases
They released their debut EP, Out Of Dreams EP, on 9 December, 2007, which contains their first single Out of Dreams
Then, on 18 February, 2008, they released a single, called Suspicious Wit.
Rascalize
The Rascals' debut album Rascalize was released on 23 June, 2008 (first released on iTunes on 15 June, 2008). Although it was not a commercial success only peaking at #100 on the UK Albums Chart for one week the album was generally well received by critics.
Thee Rascals 13, also known as TRS, RSCS, and ATW, is a predominantly Hispanic criminal street gang based in the Atwater Village neighborhood of Los Angeles. The Atwater Boys, who later became "Thee Rascals" were originally formed in the late 1970s by kids in Atwater for protection from two larger and older street gangs, Toonerville Rifa and The Avenues. Some were the children of a third gang Frogtown, whose fathers and families discouraged gang involvement. At first, rivalries were settled through hand-to-hand fist fighting, but, as time went on shootings became the most efficient way to deal with rival gang-members, due mainly in part to the drug trade. Even to this day rival gang members will shoot it out with one another when the time calls for it.
"My World" is a 1972 single released by the Bee Gees. It was originally released as a non-album single on 14 January 1972 worldwide. but it was later included on the LP Best of Bee Gees, Volume 2 in 1973. The flip of the single entitled "On Time" is a rock number that was a Maurice Gibb composition. "My World" reached the Top 20 in both US and UK.
Writing and recording
"My World" was written in the backstage of ITV's The Golden Shot with some same musical ideas as "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart". Maurice said "Whether something is a soft ballad or an uptempo thing, we would record it if we thought it was going to make a good single". By October 13, the band recorded "My World" along with unreleased tracks, "What Could Have Been Done" and "Goodbye Blue Sky" the song has four verses as they repeated the chorus numerous times. This track kicks off with an unusually casual instrumental intro like their other unreleased track, "God's Good Grace". Barry Gibb explains "My World": "it's not from the album, followed along some of the same musical ideas as 'How Can You Mend a Broken Heart'". As Robin Gibb states in the liner notes of Tales from the Brothers Gibb, "One rollicking little jaunt that me and the lads came up with in downtown Birmingham, England, whilst doing a television show called Golden Shot, the ensuing results being that it went on to be a huge top 20 hit in the UK and the US that left the three of us 'drooling' with pleasure."

When I got my first full time job at the end of the 60’s I started to buy the 7” singles of the tracks I liked most, on those tapes and newer ones I’d heard too, via oldies catalogues. I built up quite a collection over the years and also started to buy new singles as they came out in the UK.
I still have all 700, but I don’t play them anymore as I have digital versions stored on my computer/phone. Back in the day manually changing them was the only way they could be heard (other than using the stacking mechanism on an old record player, maximum 10), which was tedious, but I still treasure the actual singles.
These YouTube collections, which will total nearly 140 singles, include many of those I bought in the late 60’s /early 70’s, some of which had been deleted (have a hole punched through), but these are their digital versions obtained from CDs and various online sites, or created from later LPs, as the originals are not of the highest quality what with wear and tear and some being well over 50 years old now.
Hope you enjoy!

The book is noted for "changing the course of children's literature" in the United States for the "deeply felt portrayal of boyhood".[2][better source needed] It is also known for its colorful description of people and places along the Mississippi River. Set in a Southern antebellum society that had ceased to exist over 20 years before the work was published, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is an often scathing satire on entrenched attitudes, particularly racism.
Perennially popular with readers, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn has also been the continued object of study by literary critics since its publication. The book was widely criticized upon release because of its extensive use of coarse language and racial epithets. Throughout the 20th century, and despite arguments that the protagonist and the tenor of the book are anti-racist,[3][4] criticism of the book continued due to both its perceived use of racial stereotypes and its frequent use of the racial slur "nigger".
