The building's original features appear to be based upon the Old Toronto Star Building, where Superman co-creator Joe Shuster was a newsboy when the Toronto Star was still called the Daily Star. Shuster has claimed that Metropolis was visually inspired by Toronto. However, over the years, Metropolis has served as a fictional analogue to New York City.
The newspaper is said to be located in the heart of Metropolis, at the corner of Fifth Street and Concord Lane. One story claims the Planet began publication in 1775 and that George Washington wrote a guest editorial for the first daily edition. The Daily Planet building's most distinguishing and famous feature is the enormous globe that sits on top of the building.
Daily Planet is a licensed brothel in Melbourne, Australia. It entered the news in 2003 when it became one of the first brothels listed on a stock exchange. The brothel has won the Australian Adult Industry Award for "Best Brothel Overall" and "Best Brothel Reception & Staff" in the years 2004–2011.
The 18-room brothel is located at 7 – 12 Horne Street, Elsternwick, a southern suburb of Melbourne. As of 2012, the brothel charged A$90 for a room for half an hour, with the service provider charging another $90. It was also mentioned in interviews and promoted by blink 182 during an Australian tour in 1998.
Daily Planet was founded in 1975 by John Trimble, who remains the owner. Andrew Harris, who served as the company's CEO from 2002 until 2006, stated in 2002 that the operation generated annual profits of about A$2 million.
In 2003 the brothel's operation was separated from its real estate holdings, and the real estate property trust, named Daily Planet Ltd., proceeded with an initial public offering. The stock is traded on the Australian Stock Exchange. Heidi Fleiss had been hired to generate publicity. The company acquired strip club businesses in 2003.
Daily Planet is a television program on Discovery Channel Canada which features daily news, discussion and commentary on the scientific aspects of current events and discoveries. The show first aired as @discovery.ca in 1995. It was renamed to Daily Planet in 2002. The show relaunched in high definition in 2011.
As of June 2012, the hosts are Ziya Tong and Dan Riskin. Daily Planet airs on Discovery Channel Canada, Monday through Friday at 7p.m.EST (Monday through Friday at 4p.m.PST) as of September 4, 2012.
History
Daily Planet first aired on January 1, 1995, the same day as the premiere of Discovery Channel Canada, under the name @discovery.ca, it was an hour-long daily news magazine with a science news segment and several feature segments. During this era, the show aired for the fall/winter season. The summer season aired the variant show [email protected], with the daily science news segment, and repeats of feature segments from the fall/winter season in a half-hour format. On September 30, 2002, it was relaunched as Daily Planet, adopting a "science magazine" programming format.
.mr is the Internetcountry codetop-level domain (ccTLD) for Mauritania. A local contact is required to register a domain name under .mr. Registrations are taken directly at the second level, but a .gov.mr second level domain exists in which governmental sites can be found at the third level.
Mister, usually written in its abbreviated form Mr. (US) or Mr (US & UK), is a commonly-used English honorific for men under the rank of knighthood. The title derived from earlier forms of master, as the equivalent female titles Mrs, Miss, and Ms all derived from earlier forms of mistress. Master is sometimes still used as an honorific for boys and young men, but its use is increasingly uncommon.
The modern plural form is Misters, although its usual formal abbreviation Messrs(.) derives from use of the French title messieurs in the 18th century.Messieurs is the plural of monsieur (originally mon sieur, "my lord"), formed by declining both of its constituent parts separately.
Historic etiquette
Historically, mister—like Sir or my lord—was applied only to those above one's own status in the peerage. This understanding is now obsolete, as it was gradually expanded as a mark of respect to those of equal status and then to all gentlemen. It is now used indiscriminately.
In past centuries, Mr was used with a first name to distinguish among family members who might otherwise be confused in conversation: Mr Doe would be the eldest present; younger brothers or cousins were then referred to as Mr Richard Doe and Mr William Doe and so on. Such usage survived longer in family-owned business or when domestic servants were referring to adult male family members with the same surname: "Mr Robert and Mr Richard will be out this evening, but Mr Edward is dining in," but such usage today is rare in American culture but still quite common in others as a sign of respect when first names are being used, the last name is not known, or where English is not the mother tongue.
Mister also known as Mr. is a Hong Kong, Chineserock band composed of lead vocalist Alan Po, rhythm guitarist Ronny Lay, lead guitarist Quincy Tam, bassist and backing vocalist Desmond Tam, and drummer Tom To.
The quintet originated from the underground indie scene where they were known as White Noise. Their breakthrough performance was their gig at Alan Tam's birthday party. They were subsequently recommended to Universal Music by himself who was deeply impressed by their skill and talent.

When I get to heaven I want to be a 5 year old forever A little closer to the ground Look at all the change I found in the grocery store I jumped off the couch today, I swear I was not afraid 'Cause I had on my red cape just like Superman I caught a blue belly with my best buddy Eddie in the driveway yesterday I got so excited that I squeezed the tail tight It popped off and it got away, but that's okay It's alright CHORUS When I was Five Feeling so alive Running proud and free I'll bet you can't catch me, oh no Running through the rain Splashing in the mud I can act insane Living life' s my favorite game When I get to heaven I want to be a 5 year old forever I've got a fire engine that's just my size I'd drive all night to see the sunrise if my mom would let me There is nothing I can't do when I have on my underoos Just like Luke Skywalker I found I had a neighbor, a real trouble maker named Michael Carmody He poked out all the knotholes in the fence And gave me handfuls of his army figurines So small and green (and good) It's alright REPEAT CHORUS The world had not yet lied to me As far as I knew I was free I was free, I was free REPEAT CHORUS
