Flood is the third studio album by Brooklyn-based alternative rock duo They Might Be Giants, released in January 1990. Flood was the duo's first album on the major label Elektra Records. It generated three singles: "Birdhouse in Your Soul", "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)", and the domestic promotional track "Twisting". The album is generally considered to be the band's definitive release, as it is their best-selling and most recognizable album. Despite minimal stylistic and instrumental differences from previous releases, Flood is distinguished by contributions from seasoned producers Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley. John Linnell and John Flansburgh also took advantage of new equipment and recording techniques, including unconventional, home-recorded samples, which were programmed through Casio FZ-1 synthesizers. The album was recorded in New York City at Skyline Studios, which was better equipped than studios the band had worked in previously.
Promotion for Flood included television appearances, promotional videos, and an international tour. The album's mainstream promotion and success contributed to its status as the band's most well known album. Many fans, including young viewers of Tiny Toon Adventures, were first exposed to They Might Be Giants's music through Flood.

The ART format (file extension ".art") holds a single still image that has been highly compressed. The format was designed to facilitate the quick downloading of images, among other things. Originally, the compression was developed by the Johnson-Grace Company, which was then acquired by AOL. When an image is converted to the ART format, the image is analyzed and the software decides what compression technique would be best. The ART format has similarities to the progressive JPEG format, and certain attributes of the ART format can lead to image quality being sacrificed for the sake of image compression (for instance, the image's color palette can be limited.)
Usage by AOL
The AOL service used the ART image format for most of the image presentation of the online service. In addition, the AOL client's web browser also automatically served such images in the ART format to achieve faster downloads on the slower dialup connections that were prevalent in those days. This conversion was done in the AOL proxy servers and could be optionally disabled by the user. This image conversion process effectively reduced the download time for image files. This technology was once branded as Turboweb and is now known as AOL TopSpeed.
Art is an Irish language masculine given name, originating in Irish mythology. Though, the English name Arthur is frequently shortened to Art, the Irish name Art is sometimes wrongly anglicised as Arthur.
Origins and History
The name originated in the Irish language and ancient Irish legends. The original meaning of the name is ‘bear’, but the word has been used only as a personal name and figuratively meant ‘a champion’. Many of the ancient legendary Irish kings had the name. Art Óenfer (Art the lonely), son of Conn Céadchathach (Conn of the Hundred Battles). Literature also has marvellous stories of Art Óenfer’s adventures seeking the beautiful Dealbhchaomh on the Island of Women, bringing her back to Ireland and expelling his evil stepmother Bé Chuma forever.
Many of the ancient ruling families of Ireland honoured the name including the O’Neill Dynasty and the Ó Conchubhair Donn family.
"Creep" is the fourth and final single by rap duo Mobb Deep, from their album Blood Money. The song features 50 Cent but the video accompanied with it was made and was not released. The B-side of the single is "It's Alright", featuring Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent.

As a sharp-tongued spirit of unfair criticism, Momus was eventually expelled from the company of the gods on Mount Olympus. His name is related to μομφή, meaning 'blame', 'reproach', or 'disgrace'.Hesiod said that Momus was a son of Night (Nyx), “though she lay with none”, and the twin of the misery goddess Oizys. In the 8th century BCE epic Cypria, Momus was credited with stirring up the Trojan War in order to reduce the human population.Sophocles wrote a later satyr play called Momos, now almost entirely lost, which may have derived from this.
Two of Aesop's fables feature the god. The most widely reported of these in Classical times is numbered 100 in the Perry Index. There Momus is asked to judge the handiwork of three gods (who vary depending on the version): a man, a house and a bull. He found all at fault: the man because his heart was not on view to judge his thoughts; the house because it had no wheels so as to avoid troublesome neighbours; and the bull because it did not have eyes in its horns to guide it when charging. Because of it, Plutarch and Aristotle criticized Aesop’s story-telling as deficient in understanding, while Lucian insisted that anyone with sense was able to sound out a man’s thoughts.
Is it wise to come to me To guide you spiritually Dead eyes stare back from the void Reflecting what I see I am the key that locks the door The link between the worlds Take my hand Dare to walk with fire Let the dead rest in peace Step aside leave them be Let the dead rest in peace Sacrilege, final sleep I am here to satisfy Your curiosity If you think it's worth the risk To be stuck with me There are things you cannot see That's why you come to me Take my hand Dare to walk with fire Let the dead rest in peace Step aside leave them be Let the dead rest in peace Sacrilege, final sleep Was it wise to come to me To guide you spiritually Your dead eyes stare back from the void Now you're stuck with me Let the dead rest in peace Step aside leave them be Let the dead rest in peace Sacrilege, final sleep Let the dead rest in peace Step aside leave them be Let the dead rest in peace
