Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra (French:Astérix et Obélix: Mission Cléopâtre, Italian:Asterix & Obelix - Missione Cleopatra) is a 2002 French/Italian film based on the comic bookAstérix et Cléopâtre by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo and a sequel for the 1999 movie Asterix & Obelix Take On Caesar. It was the most expensive French movie at that time. It is the second adaption of Asterix and Cleopatra, following the 1968 animated movie.
Unlike other live action adaptions of Asterix books, up to now, this movie is the only Asterix live action movie where the plot adheres closely to the original comic bookAstérix et Cléopatre without incorporating elements from other books.
As described in a film magazine, Cleopatra (Bara), the Siren of Egypt, by a clever ruse reaches Caesar (Leiber) and he falls victim to her charms. They plan to rule the world together, but then Caesar falls. Cleopatra's life is desired by the church, as the wanton woman's rule has become intolerable. Pharon (Roscoe), a high priest, is given a sacred dagger to take her life. He gives her his love instead and, when she is in need of some money, leads her to the tomb of his ancestors, where she tears the treasure from the breast of the mummy. With this wealth she goes to Rome to meet Antony (Hall). He leaves the affairs of state and travels to Alexandria with her, where they revel. Antony is recalled to Rome and married to Octavia (Blinn), but his soul cries out for Cleopatra. He sends her a message to arm her ships and meet him at Actium, where they battle the opposing forces. They are overpowered, and flee to Alexandria. There they are captured by Octavius (De Vries), and Antony dies in Cleopatra's arms. Before Cleopatra is to be dragged behind the wheels of Octavius' chariot, Pharon the priest, who has never ceased to love her, brings her the serpent that she joyously brings to her breast, dying royally with her crown on her head and scepter in her hand as becomes Egypt.
"Cleopatra" is a song by the American rock band Weezer. It was released as the second single from their ninth studio album Everything Will Be Alright in the End on September 8, 2014. Like the previous single "Back to the Shack", the song has received favorable comparisons to Weezer's earlier albums.
Composition
A jangly Egyptian-themed song, "Cleopatra" is described as a throwback to Weezer's classic sound. The song starts with acoustic strums, a harmonica, and subdued vocals. It builds up into a heavier song, containing a guitar solo and dual guitars. Chris Coplan at Consequence of Sound characterized the song as sounding more like Weezer (1994) than Pinkerton.
Critical reception
Carolyn Menyes at Music Times comments that "it seems like the band has finally returned to form after all these years", citing "Cleopatra" as an example. Dandiel Kreps of Rolling Stone declared "The track recalls the band's earlier albums", citing the production by Ric Ocasek. At Consequence of Sound, Chris Coplan states that "Weezer keep things interesting by imbuing the track with a healthy dose of experience and cynicism, adding new layers to a sound that can occasionally be all too familiar." Karina Starobina from Gigwise described the song "as much a perfect soundtrack for a college pool party as any other Weezer song you have ever heard.". Starobina also comments they don't want Weezer to change.
This station features the adjacent station art sculpture "Astride-Aside" (2003) by artist Michael Stutz. The station has a 122 space park and ride lot and there is a fee to park.
Formerly serving the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe railroad, the original depot building was torn down in 1954 with the station's closure. The current structure was built with the reactivation of the line as a light rail station in 2003.

A mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) is a geographical administrative area to which church missionaries are assigned. Almost all areas of the world are within the boundaries of an LDS Church mission, whether or not Mormon missionaries live or proselytize in the area. As of July 2015, there are 418 missions of the LDS Church.
Administrative structure
Geographically, a mission may be a city, a city and surrounding areas, a state or province, or perhaps an entire country or even multiple countries. Typically, the name of the mission is the name of the country (or state in the United States), and then the name of the city where the mission headquarters office is located.
New missionaries receive a formal mission call, assigning them to a particular mission for the duration of their two years or eighteen months of service. Each mission has, on average, about 150 missionaries serving there.
Mission president
All missionaries serve in a mission under the direction of a mission president, who, like individual missionaries, is assigned by the LDS Church president. The mission president must be a married high priest in the Melchizedek Priesthood; his wife is asked to serve alongside him. In 2013 the mission president's wife was given additional leadership roles in the mission. Mission presidents are typically in their forties or older, and usually have the financial means to devote themselves full-time to the responsibility for three consecutive years. The church provides mission presidents with a minimal living allowance but it normally requires them to supplement it with their own funds. Often, the mission president must learn the local language spoken in the mission, as the missionaries do (although many mission presidents today have either previously served a mission in the mission language or speak the mission language as their native language).
The original European strain, until recently, had been lost, thus the grapes' being named "Mission grapes" since the Spanish missions are where they were generally grown. The grape was introduced to the Las Californias Province of New Spain, present-day California, in the late 18th century by Franciscanmissionaries. Until about 1850, Mission grapes, or Criolla, represented the entirety of viticulture in California wines. At the present time, however, Mission represents less than 1000 acres (4km²) of total plantings in the entire state. Most of the state's remaining plantings are in the Gold Country, the Central Valley, and Southern California.
Wines
Red and white wine, sweet and dry wine, brandy, and a fortified wine called Angelica were all produced from Mission grapes. Though Mission grape vines are heavy producers and can adapt to a variety of climates, table wine made from the fruit tends to be rather characterless, and thus its use in wine making has diminished in modern times. However as both contemporary accounts and those of the last two centuries attest, Angelica, the fortified wine made from the grape, is sometimes a wine of note and distinction. The Mission grape is related to the pink Criolla grape of Argentina and the red País grape of Chile.
