History
The Midori name was first used from 1 October 1961 on limited express services operating between Osaka and Hakata using 12-car KiHa 80 series diesel multiple unit (DMU) sets. Timings were as shown below.
Down: Osaka 13:40 → Hakata 22:35
Up: Hakata 07:25 → Osaka 16:20
From 1 October 1964, with the opening of the Tokaido Shinkansen, services operated between Shin-Osaka and Kumamoto and Oita. Although the route was now electrified, services continued to use KiHa 80 series DMU sets formed as 13 cars.
The Juken Club(柔剣部,Jūkenbu) is a group created by Shin Natsume to unite the last members of the Katana Group and allow them to enter the Election Tournament. The initial formation was Shin Natsume, Mitsuomi Takayanagi, Bunshichi Tawara, Maya Natsume, and Kagesada Sugano. Two years after, led by Maya, the club became the main opposition to the Executive Council.
The Executive Council (執行部, Shikōbu) is the main force among the students of Toudou Academy, they keep the order on the school and punish the students that do not follow their rules. The Executive Council is chosen annually by the Election Tournament, where the winning group becomes the new Executive Council for the next school term. Two years ago, Mitsuomi became the leader of the group and his group won the next, keeping their post.

Midori is owned and produced by Suntory throughout the world. It was exclusively produced in Japan from 1964 and known as Hermes Melon Liqueur. It wasn’t until later that it was renamed to Midori which translates to “green” in Japanese. It started to gain traction in international markets after it was launched in New York City in 1978. It became a popular ingredient on back bars throughout the world.
The recipe was apparently tweaked around 2013 – reducing the sugar content and having a fresher melon taste, more reminiscent of the premium grade of musk melons that are used to produce the vibrant green liqueur.

Three Ingredient Midori Sour
Midori is making a triumphant return to respectable drinking culture! For many years it was relegated to the night club circuit being slopped together with badly produced sour mix! And really it's not THAAAT surprising. Midori was, in fact unveiled in America at a party commemorating the cast of the film Saturday Night Fever at Studio 54 (in NYC) in 1978! That's true. And so it being relegated to the night club scene is pretty on the nose. That said, Midori is a quality product. It is made with a mix of Melons one of which is the prized Yubari Melon which routinely are sold for upwards of a hundred dollars. It was first brought to market as 'Hermes Melon Liqueur" IN 1964 butch changed it's name to Midori (The Japanese word for Green) in 1978 and unveiled as such at the party I mentioned ea...

Midori plays Bach - Chaconne, Partita No. 2
At Castle Köthen, where Johann Sebastian Bach wrote the Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin, Midori fills the historical rooms with the sound of these masterpieces.
For Midori, Bach’s music has always played a significant role in her life: “I lived with the music of Bach for as long as I can remember. His music has always been around me so it feels it always continued to develop inside me. Bach always teaches me to listen, to open my ears and open my mind.” Playing in the chambers of the Castle of Köthen, where Bach spent important and productive years, made a deep impression on the violinist. She said that the premises allowed her to feel connected to Bach and his music in an almost human way: “The sound of the music – how it actually came out, how it felt to be in those rooms – those a...

MIDORI SOUR
This 3-ingredient sour recipe is by far the best Midori Sour version I've tried to date. The Midori melon liqueur has enough sweetness to balance the acidic lime juice and the egg whites bring a nice texture to this melon flavoured cocktail.
INGREDIENTS
- 60mL Midori Melon Liqueur (2 oz)
- 30mL Fresh Lime Juice (1 oz)
- ¾ Egg White
MIDORI ILLUSION
The Midori Illusion has also been known as a popular shooter recipe but serve it tall over ice and you have a sweet, refreshing, citrus and pineapple cocktail.
INGREDIENTS
- 60mL Midori Melon Liqueur (2 oz)
- 15mL Vodka (½ oz)
- 15mL Triple Sec (½ oz)
- 30mL Fresh Lemon Juice (1 oz)
- 30mL Pineapple Juice (1 oz)
MIDORI SPLICE
The aptly named Midori Splice tastes remarkably similar to that of a Splice ice cream. Flavours of fresh melon and coconut make a deliciously sweet tropical cocktail.
INGREDIENTS
- 30mL Midori Melon Liqueur (1 oz)
- 30mL Malibu (1 oz)
- 90mL Pineapple Juice (3 oz)
- Cream
JAPANESE SLIPPER
The Japanese Slipper is a citrusy tart, melon cocktail that was first created in Melbourne (Australia) at Mietta's Restaurant in 1984.
INGREDIENTS
- 30mL Midori Melon Liqueur (1 oz)
- 30mL Triple Sec (1 oz)
- 30mL Fresh Lemon Juice (1 oz)
LA POMME
Discovered after filming and editing that apple cider in the US is actually just unfiltered apple juice! In the video I used alcoholic apple cider (in Australia, that's what apple cider is). It would be much better with cloudy apple juice rather than alcoholic cider!
INGREDIENTS
- 30mL Brandy (1 oz)
- 20mL Midori Melon Liqueur (⅔ oz)
- 10mL Fresh Lemon Juice ( 1/3 oz)
- Apple cider (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)
Music by Enzo - Jones Meadow (Epidemic Sound): https://www.epidemicsound.com/track/yqKQKOLNhM

She said that the premises allowed her to feel connected to Bach and his music in an almost human way: “The sound of the music – how it actually came out, how it felt to be in those rooms – those are the memories I will take with me.”
Midori plays Bach's Sonatas and Partitas (BWV 1001-1006) - for more information about the DVD/Blu-ray follow this link: http://bit.ly/2hKSfwW

MIDORI SOUR
This 3-ingredient sour recipe is by far the best Midori Sour version I've tried to date. The Midori melon liqueur has enough sweetness to balance the acidic lime juice and the egg whites bring a nice texture to this melon flavoured cocktail.
INGREDIENTS
- 60mL Midori Melon Liqueur (2 oz)
- 30mL Fresh Lime Juice (1 oz)
- ¾ Egg White
MIDORI ILLUSION
The Midori Illusion has also been known as a popular shooter recipe but serve it tall over ice and you have a sweet, refreshing, citrus and pineapple cocktail.
INGREDIENTS
- 60mL Midori Melon Liqueur (2 oz)
- 15mL Vodka (½ oz)
- 15mL Triple Sec (½ oz)
- 30mL Fresh Lemon Juice (1 oz)
- 30mL Pineapple Juice (1 oz)
MIDORI SPLICE
The aptly named Midori Splice tastes remarkably similar to that of a Splice ice cream. Flavours of fresh melon and coconut make a deliciously sweet tropical cocktail.
INGREDIENTS
- 30mL Midori Melon Liqueur (1 oz)
- 30mL Malibu (1 oz)
- 90mL Pineapple Juice (3 oz)
- Cream
JAPANESE SLIPPER
The Japanese Slipper is a citrusy tart, melon cocktail that was first created in Melbourne (Australia) at Mietta's Restaurant in 1984.
INGREDIENTS
- 30mL Midori Melon Liqueur (1 oz)
- 30mL Triple Sec (1 oz)
- 30mL Fresh Lemon Juice (1 oz)
LA POMME
Discovered after filming and editing that apple cider in the US is actually just unfiltered apple juice! In the video I used alcoholic apple cider (in Australia, that's what apple cider is). It would be much better with cloudy apple juice rather than alcoholic cider!
INGREDIENTS
- 30mL Brandy (1 oz)
- 20mL Midori Melon Liqueur (⅔ oz)
- 10mL Fresh Lemon Juice ( 1/3 oz)
- Apple cider (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)

Last year I built a Trackmania Map with an incredibly difficult author time and posted it as a challenge to the community. The first five people who beat my time would receive real-life author medals and cash prizes. But, things didn't go according to plan...

It was first brought to market as 'Hermes Melon Liqueur" IN 1964 butch changed it's name to Midori (The Japanese word for Green) in 1978 and unveiled as such at the party I mentioned earlier. It is now made by Suntory and is manufactured not just in Japan but also in Mexico, The United States and France. The French version is sweeter than the original Japanese.
This Particular Midori Sour recipe was created by New York Barman John deBary who is known for taking complicated drinks and creating very pleasing and simplified recipes for them.

Shōjo Tsubaki - The Disturbing Banned Anime Explained | Ending Explained | Midori
Shōjo Tsubaki was banned when it first came out in Japan several decades ago. It's taboo subjects, violent animations, and disturbing nature made some people destroy the tape once they were done watching it. Today I'll explain what happens in the movie (without all the disgusting graphics) and explain the different interpretations of the ending.

4chan/mu/ wiki entry on Midori: http://4chanmusic.wikia.com/wiki/%E3%83%9F%E3%83%89%E3%83%AA
