Messerschmitt Bf 109 | Better than the Spitfire?
This Bf 109 fought in the Battle of Britain, crash landed in 1940, and ended up on display. The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was matched only by the Supermarine Spitfire. It was the Luftwaffe’s only single seat fighter for the first few years of the Second World War and the RAF’s nemesis during the Battle of Britain. Duxford’s Bf 109 is an E-3/E-4 variant. It was attacked by Spitfires in late 1940 and crash-landed in a field in relatively good condition. Because of this smooth crash landing, the aircraft ended up touring North America before going on display at IWM – the tourists’ graffiti from these tours can still be seen on its wings. In this video, Curator Adrian Kerrison shows us how much we can learn from looking closely this Battle of Britain icon. Take a look into the cockpit, watch it tak...

When a BF-109 spared a B-17
December 20th 1943, a badly shot up B-17 struggled to stay in the air, at the controls Charlie Brown. Passing low over a German airfield, it was spotted by Franz Stigler who raced to intercept, just one victory away from receiving the Knight's Cross. What happened next would be called one of the most incredible acts of kindness between enemies.
Thanks to Adam Makos for allowing us to use the footage of the first meeting of Stigler and Brown. You should also read the full story in the book 'A Higher Call' by Adam Makos & Larry Alexander.
We received many requests to do this in our new style. We hope you like it.

Expensive RC Airplanes Crashes/Fails here 😢
https://youtu.be/GsLgIT8SBwo
This is a 4 Ch 400mm RC warbird by Volantex RC. The plane comes ready to fly with transmitter, 3.7V 400mAh lipo battery and charger. This is one of the best mini warbirds by Volantex RC. Transmitter has one key aerobatic; one key U-turn functions and the plane can be flown in three different modes - beginner, intermediate and expert. In beginner mode, gyro will be activated, and the plane cannot do any aerobatics while in expert mode, gyro will be off, and the plane can do aerobatics.
Landing these mini planes on rough surfaces is pretty hard. So, you could not see any good landings. The plane seems durable as you can see in the video, the plane kept going even after few hard crashes.

Messerschmitt Bf 109: A Luftwaffe Legend | WWII Documentary
Of the many aircraft that fought in the aerial battles of the Second World War, one German plane would become legendary. Serving as the main backbone of the Luftwaffe’s fighter force, until the arrival of the Focke Wulf 190 in 1941, it was the most advanced and capable fighter platform at the time of its introduction in February 1937. With it’s all metal stressed skin construction, enclosed cockpit, mono wing design and retractable landing gear, it was a favourite for the pilots who flew it and a menace for those who faced it in aerial combat. My name is Liam Smith and this is the story of the iconic Messerschmitt Bf 109. Welcome to World War Military History.

Messerschmitt Bf.109 — powerhouse of Luftwaffe
The Messerschmitt Bf.109 is, by and large, the most polarizing aircraft in history. There are so many legends, myths and speculations around it that no other plane can get even close. Not to mention all the different strong opinions on the opposite ends of the spectrum: no wonder that people still argue about its legacy to this very day. Some people say that it was a perfect aircraft for the time period. Others believe that it was a perfect example of how NOT to design planes – and add that this fighter made it into production only because other options available at the time were even worse. Even people that actually used it in combat, or at least flew it, give very conflicting accounts when speaking about their experience.

The Messerschmitt Bf 109 is a German World War II fighter aircraft that was, along with the Focke-Wulf Fw 190, the backbone of the Luftwaffe's fighter force. The Bf 109 first saw operational service in 1937 during the Spanish Civil War and was still in service at the end of World War II in 1945. It was one of the most advanced fighters when it first appeared, with an all-metal monocoque construction, a closed canopy, and retractable landing gear. It was powered by a liquid-cooled, inverted V12 aero engine. It was called the Me 109 by Allied aircrew and some German aces, even though this was not the official German designation.
It was designed by Willy Messerschmitt and Robert Lusser who worked at Bayerische Flugzeugwerke during the early to mid-1930s. It was conceived as an interceptor, although later models were developed to fulfill multiple tasks, serving as bomber escort, fighter-bomber, day-, night-, all-weather fighter, ground-attack aircraft, and reconnaissance aircraft. It was supplied to several states during World War II and served with several countries for many years after the war. The Bf 109 is the most produced fighter aircraft in history, with a total of 34,248 airframes produced from 1936 to April 1945. Some of the Bf 109 production took place in Nazi concentration camps through slave labor.
The Bf 109 was flown by the three top-scoring fighter aces of all time, who claimed 928 victories among them while flying with Jagdgeschwader 52, mainly on the Eastern Front. The highest-scoring, Erich Hartmann, was credited with 352 victories. The aircraft was also flown by Hans-Joachim Marseille, the highest-scoring ace in the North African Campaign who shot down 158 enemy aircraft (in about a third of the time). It was also flown by many aces from other countries fighting with Germany, notably the Finn Ilmari Juutilainen, the highest-scoring non-German ace. Pilots from Italy, Romania, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Hungary also flew the Bf 109. Through constant development, the Bf 109 remained competitive with the latest Allied fighter aircraft until the end of the war.

I highly recommend this RC warbird if you want a mini park flyer RC warbird and do not want to spend a lot of money. Thanks for watching.
