Trains run only during the rush hour periods with 7 trains running southbound in the morning and 8 running northbound in the afternoon and evening. One southbound and 2 northbound trains only travel as far north as Unionville with bus connections travelling the rest of the route. When trains are not running, stations are served by GO Bus route 71 which runs the corridor. However, with the exception of Union Station, it bypasses all stations within the city of Toronto.
Between Union Station and Scarborough Station, the Stouffville line shares tracks with the Lakeshore East line, but it currently does not stop at Scarborough. Effective February 2, 2015, select trains stop at Danforth GO Station as part of a year-long pilot project.
Stouffville GO Station is a railway station in the GO Transit network located in Stouffville, Ontario in Canada. It was the terminus on the Stouffville line train service until the line was extended to Lincolnville on September 2, 2008. Buses serve the station from stops on the street due to space limitations.
The station site was expanded to include more parking in the west lot. Construction was completed in July 2005. The wheelchair-accessible mini-platform is available once again. An additional 60 surface parking spaces will be added to the station in June 2016.
The Toronto and Nipissing Railway was completed in 1871, connecting Stouffville and Uxbridge with Toronto. The line's north-eastern terminus at Coboconk, Ontario on Balsam Lake in the Kawarthas, was completed in 1872. In 1877, a second track was built from Stouffville north to Jackson's Point on Lake Simcoe. These connections were created in large part to provide a reliable and efficient means of transporting timber harvested and milled in these regions. Soon Stouffville Junction serviced thirty trains per day. The railway became the Grand Trunk Railway in 1884, and Canadian National Railways took over the line in 1914.
Markham's storm-petrel (Oceanodroma markhami), a seabird species found in Chile and Colombia
Markham's grass mouse (Abrothrix olivaceus markhami), a rodent subspecies found on Wellington Island and the nearby Southern Patagonian Ice Field in southern Chile
Stargate Atlantis has a small cast, amounting to ten main cast actors over its five-season run. Most characters are introduced in outgoing expeditions outside the city of Atlantis.
Main characters
John Sheppard
John Sheppard played by Joe Flanigan is a USAF Lieutenant Colonel (ranked major in season 1). He is an experienced and a talented US Air Force Officer in Afghanistan, though his reputation is somewhat tarnished when he disobeyed a direct order in an unsuccessful attempt to save the lives of several US servicemen. When called upon to transport Brigadier General Jack O'Neill into the research base that has been established at the nearby Ancient defense facility, Sheppard inadvertently discovers that he not only has the ATA gene (the genetic factor necessary to activate Ancient technology), but that he is naturally proficient at using it. After some doubts, he finally joins the expedition to Atlantis, although Colonel Marshall Sumner makes it clear he is not pleased about Sheppard's involvement in the mission. In Season 1, Sheppard serves as both a Major and later also becomes the military commander following Colonel Sumner's death. In Season 2, Sheppard is eventually promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and still remains as Atlantis's military commander with Sheppard serving as the team leader for the Atlantis Expedition's team, the First Atlantis Reconnaissance Team or AR-1.
Markham was a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada created in 1988. Also known as Markham—Whitchurch-Stouffville, it was a federal electoral district that elected representatives to the Canadian House of Commons from 1988 to 2000. Notably in 1997 this was the only district in Ontario that did not elect a Liberal MP.
Markham riding was created from parts of York North and York—Peel ridings. It initially consisted of the towns of Markham and Whitchurch-Stouffville in the Regional Municipality of York. The name of the electoral district was changed in 1989 to "Markham—Whitchurch-Stouffville". The electoral district was redistributed 1996 into Markham, Oak Ridges and Thornhill ridings. The new Markham riding consisted of the part of the Town of Markham east of Highway No. 404 and south of 16th Avenue.

This was the 15:13 Northbound trip on the Stouffville Line to Stouffville Station. The 15:13 service in the past (before the suspension of all-day service) normally ends at Mount Joy but because of the reduced trains, all train trips available have been extended to make all stops to Old Elm. Evolution of the GO Transit Stouffville Line! (1954-2020)
Hey guys! In this unique video, you'll see how the GO Transit Stouffville Line has evolved over the years, using rare historical satellite imagery taken between 1954 to 2020. You'll see how the communities around the train line grew around each station, first starting from vacant land and slowly transforming into a populated area. The specific focus of this video is, of course, the track infrastructure itself and how it changed as time progressed.
My motivation for making this video is my interest in street maps along with, of course, my interest in railroads! As you all know, the Stouffville line is my local rail line, and even though it is a branch line, it has a rich history worth knowing about. The full history of the Stouffville line will be explored in a future upcoming video, so st...

GO Transit Stouffville Line Track Diagram (Hand Drawn)
This video shows the track diagram for the full length of the CN Uxbridge Subdivision, or the GO Transit Stouffville line. This is entirely hand-drawn by me, and it includes the level crossings, bridges and underpasses, train stations, industrial spurs, track speed limits, and mile posts accurate to present day operation. I drew this track diagram to help me negotiate the Stouffville line on my train simulator game, because in the train simulator, you couldn't tell which station or level crossing was which. In addition, the existing GO Transit track diagrams available on the Web are about twenty to thirty years out of date, so they're completely useless. So here's the updated, accurate version of the Stouffville line track diagram!
Here's the .pdf file for the track diagram if you want to...

Note: In the video, I mentioned the terms "Uxbridge Subdivision" and "York Subdivision". The Stouffville line is officially known as the CN Uxbridge Subdivision. The York Subdivision is another CN line passing through Markham. A large railroad company, such as CN, divides its rail network into divisions, and each division is further subdivided into railroad lines, so a railroad line is known as a "subdivision".
Historical imagery credit City of Toronto, and the Regional Municipality of York.
I do not own the pictures of the FP7 and of the traditional-style cab car, nor the official CN track diagram on the title slide.

What are your thoughts on this track diagram? Any suggestions please let me know in the comments below.
I highly recommend getting the GO Transit train simulator from the company Maple Leaf Tracks. It includes all GO Transit lines except for the Milton and Lakeshore East lines (the Lakeshore East line is a free download from their site). Also, the separate GO Transit train set package (which includes four six-car consists each with a MP40PH-3C) is pretty much needed to operate the route. (I want to say that I am in no way promoting these products nor am I affiliated with the company that produces them, I am simply stating that I have owned a copy of the route for about ten months already and I really liked using it.)
Happy Halloween guys!! :D (Although this video has nothing to do with Halloween...)
