Documentary about Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, a Russian scholar of ancient wisdom and author who co-founded the Theosophical Society in 1875. She gained an international following as the leading theoretician of Theosophy, the esoteric movement that the Theosophical Society promotes.
"The Secret Doctrine" is the synthesis of Science, Religion, and Philosophy. An esoteric book originally published in two volumes in 1888 written by Blavatsky. The first volume she named Cosmogenesis, the second Anthropogenesis. It was an influential example of the revival of interest in esoteric and occult ideas in the modern age, in particular, because of its reconcile of Ancient Eastern wisdom(Buddhism and Hinduism) and Kabbalah with modern science.
The mission of the Theosophical Society from the beginning of its inception was to serve humanity by cultivating an ever-deepening understanding and realization of the Ageless Wisdom, spiritual self-transformation, and the unity of all life.
From their website. The mission:
1. To form a nucleus of the Universal Brotherhood of Humanity without distinction
of race, creed, sex, caste, or color.
2. To encourage the comparative study of religion, philosophy, and science.
3. To investigate the unexplained laws of nature and the powers latent in humanity.
Envisioning the Earth as a work of Art, ArtNetworkTV was established to express the worldview that perceives life on Earth and the Cosmos as an evolving creative Consciousness. At a time when women, like children, were expected to be seen and not heard it was said that she left her husband to become a trick rider in the circus, traveling alone she entered forbidden Tibet, she was a spiritual genius and the mother of the new age. On the other hand there are those who say she was a fraud whose real talent was that she knew how to tell a good tale. Either way there is no doubt that her remarkable synthesis of western occultism and eastern traditions became a foundation for the New Age. Her respect for eastern culture and religion, for Buddhism and Hinduism has had a far reaching impact on the modern world.
