The man was spotted on Sunday, July 7 by the police helicopter.
They then alerted GMP’s dedicated team dealing with anti-social behaviour on motorbikes, e-bikes and quadbikes.
Police held the man on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, no license and no insurance.
The off-road bike was seized at the same time.
Police say he has now been bailed pending further enquiries.
