Donald Clark "Donny" Osmond (born December 9, 1957) is an American singer, actor, dancer, radio personality, and former teen idol. Osmond has also been a talk and game show host, record producer and author. In the mid-1960s, he and four of his elder brothers gained fame as the Osmonds. Osmond went solo in the early 1970s, covering such hits as "Go Away Little Girl" and "Puppy Love".
For over thirty-five years, he and younger sister Marie have gained fame as Donny & Marie, partly due to the success of their 1976–79 self-titled variety series, which aired on ABC. The duo also did a 1998–2000 talk show and have been headlining in Las Vegas since 2008. Between a highly successful teen career in the 1970s, and his rebirth in the 1990s, Osmond's career was stymied during the 1980s by what some have perceived as his "boy scout" image. Osmond stated on the May 1, 2009 Larry King Live show that longtime friend Michael Jackson suggested he change his name to boost his image. Osmond's agent even suggested that spreading false rumors about drug arrest charges might recharge his career. Osmond felt such allegations would have familial ramifications, and could not reconcile how lying to create a nefarious drug image could be explained to his children, nieces and nephews. In 1989, Osmond had two big-selling recordings, the first of which, "Soldier of Love", was initially credited to a "mystery artist" by some radio stations.
Donny Osmond is a 1989 album released by Donny Osmond. It was released on Capitol Records. It is notable for featuring the number 2 smash hit, "Soldier of Love", which Randall Popken, Alice Newsome and Lanell Gonzales called "a faintly suggestive tune set to a post-disco beat." It was released as a tune by a "mystery singer", as Osmond's promoter feared that no one would buy the album if the singer was revealed. It is also notable for featuring five songs that Osmond co-wrote, and for Osmond also handling drum programming and keyboards on a few tracks. It also featured three more singles, "Sacred Emotion" (which was a radio single), "I'm In It For Love" and "If It's Love That You Want", the last of which is featured as a bonus track on some copies of the compact disc.
Jim Brickman (born November 20, 1961) is an American songwriter and pianist of pop and adult contemporary music, as well as a radio show host. Being named the most charted male adult contemporary artist to date, Brickman has earned six Gold and Platinum albums. He is known for his solo piano compositions, pop-style instrumentals, and vocal collaborations with artists such as Lady Antebellum, Johnny Mathis, Michael W. Smith, Martina McBride, Megan Hilty, Donny Osmond, Delta Goodrem, Olivia Newton-John, and many others. He has earned two Grammy nominations for his albums Peace (2003) for Best Instrumental, and Faith (2009) for Best New Age Album; an SESAC "Songwriter of the Year" award; a Canadian Country Music Award for Best Vocal/Instrumental Collaboration; and a Dove Award presented by the Gospel Music Association.
Since 1997, he has hosted his own radio show called "Your Weekend with Jim Brickman", which is carried on radio stations throughout the United States. Brickman has also released five PBS specials, and hosts an annual fan cruise. He is founder of Brickhouse Direct, a company that provides strategic marketing and e-commerce solutions for clients in a variety of industries.
Love of My Life may refer to:
"Love of My Life" is a ballad by the British rock band Queen from their 1975 album A Night at the Opera. The song was written by Freddie Mercury about Mary Austin, with whom he had a long term relationship in the early 1970s. After performing the song in South America in 1981, the version from their live album Live Killers reached number 1 in the singles chart in Argentina and Brazil, and stayed in the charts in Argentina for an entire year.
Freddie Mercury wrote it on the piano and guitar first, and Brian May rearranged the song for acoustic 12-string guitar for live performances, also lowering the key by a semitone. May contributed occasional guitar phrases to the original recording and played the swooping harp glissandos by pasting together multiple takes of single chords. The song is an example of Mercury's familiarity with rubato phrasing, showcasing his classical piano influences, notably by Chopin and Beethoven.
With its similar lyrical theme, the Roger Taylor penned single "These Are the Days of Our Lives" would later hearken back to "Love of My Life", twice using the line "I still love you". At the end of "These Are the Days of Our Lives", Mercury simply speaks those words, as he would often do in live versions of "Love of My Life".
"Love of My Life (An Ode to Hip-Hop)" is the title of a 2002 single by singer Erykah Badu and rapper Common. It spent four weeks at number one on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart, and reached number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song also won a Soul Train Lady of Soul Award for Best Solo R&B/Soul Single. It additionally won a Grammy for best R&B song in 2003.
The song was featured in the 2002 film Brown Sugar and is found on the film's soundtrack. The song, film, Common's song "I Used to Love H.E.R." and The Roots song "Act Too (The Love Of My Life)" all share a common theme: the personification of hip hop. The song won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Song on the 2003 award ceremony, and was nominated for Best Urban/Alternative Performance and Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.
In 2003, the official remix entitled, "Love of My Life Worldwide" appeared on Erykah Badu's album, Worldwide Underground. "Funk You Up! (Love Of My Life Remix)" is another version of the song, with Badu rapping different lyrics. The remix contained rap vocals from Badu, Queen Latifah, Bahamadia and Angie Stone. The remix is a semi-remake version of "Funk You Up" by the rap group The Sequence at the time Angie Stone was a member of the group.

Donny Osmond Surprises Sister, Marie for Her 60th Birthday Celebration
Donny starts by telling a joke in response to a fan's question but then tells the story of drinking too much water before a show, during the Harrah's Las Vegas Pre-Show Experience on 10/8/2022. Donny Osmond is a charismatic, dynamic storyteller. I decided to compile the stories he has told in his Harrah's Las Vegas pre-shows in a dedicated series. Please use the link to share. I do not give permission to screen record or screen shot my videos (unless you are Donny himself). All video and images were recorded by Cindy Unger. The Holy voices speaking, words I can't recall
And I do still believe if I believe in anything at all
All you hear in me and all you hear
I thought I saw you walking down by a street yesterday
I thought I heard your voice though I could not hear
just what you say and I am waiting
And I'm waiting here for you
I am whispering your name
I am telling to the wind
Your love has brought me here
'Til I see you again
I am opening the door
I will let this moment in
Your love will find me here
'Til I see you again
And I can still remember as I write down these words
The music in your voice and the silence of the universe
And I am singing
Now I'm singing here for you
I am whispering your name
I am telling to the wind
Your love has brought me here
'Til I see you again
I am opening the door
I will let this moment in
Your love will find me here
'Til I see you again......
I am whispering your name
I am telling to the wind
Your love will brought me here
'Til I see you again
I am opening the door
I will let this moment in
Your love can find me here
'Til i see you again
