Visit the Louvre Museum
Vidéo en français : http://youtu.be/7wXwwGXUMgE
How well do you really know the most famous museum in the world?
In the heart of the former home of the King's of France, stands the famous glass pyramids of Pei (extremely controversial in 1988). A few feet away, the artist Anselm Kiefer is installed in the northern staircase of la Cour carrée, for contemporary art also has a place inside the museum. A full program of temporary exhibitions, film projections and concerts makes the Louvre a fascinating place to be.
Thus, the Louvre is « a secular institution resolutely focused on the future ». More info: https://www.visitparisregion.com/en/musee-du-louvre

The Louvre Palace houses the largest museum in the world. The twelfth century fortress was extended and refurbished several times throughout the centuries. Before it opened as a museum, King Charles V and Philippe II chose this palace as their residence, decorating it with their ever growing art collections.
When the Royal Family moved to Versailles, the impressive building that covers a total area of 160,000 square meters was transformed into one of the most important museums in the world.
A glass pyramid, which is currently the museum’s principle entrance, was built in the palace’s main courtyard in 1989, piercing the monotony of the Louvre's exterior.
Arguably the most famous museum in the world, the Louvre has had an interesting journey in terms of its history in Paris.

Weltkultur. Weltkunst.

My name is Jay Swanson - I'm an American writer living in Paris on an artist visa and hoping to make the city of light my home base - at least for the foreseeable future. I write science-fiction and fantasy, vlog daily (when I'm not on a between-season break), and love pizza a little too much.
FAQ:
How long have you lived in France? On and off for over two years.
What do you miss most about ho- NACHOS
You're always talking about living on some ship. WHAT SHIP? - This ship: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MV_Africa_Mercy
Where are you from originally? Pullman, Washington - a small university/agricultural town near Idaho (and yes, the potatoes are amazing).
What do you film with? I currently film almost exclusively with my Samsung Galaxy S7: http://amzn.to/2sXEL4g
How do you get those shots where you're walking or running? A Joby Gorillapod for smartphones, like this: http://amzn.to/2sXNIL3
You drop your phone a lot, how does it survive? THIS CASE IS AMAZING: http://amzn.to/2hoxgTA
What do you edit with? Adobe Premiere - it's pretty much all I've ever used since high school.
Aren't you ever freaked out by leaving your camera behind to film yourself? Yep. But not too badly - I tend to be careful when I do.
Why are you living in #Paris? Because I've always wanted to. https://youtu.be/4Vivf6MqMxQ
But what are you doing there? https://youtu.be/ZW2RP--DO8Y
Do you speak French? Oui.
Do you make money off YouTube? Ha, no. I wish.
Can I come stay with you in Paris? - Have you seen my apartment? It's too small for me as it is! https://youtu.be/6t2qj3rdyX8
OK, but how do I use the Metro when I'm there? I made a handy video for you: https://youtu.be/T0YS5si8bJs

We find the Louvre in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, close to the les Halles district. It has won the award for most visited museum in the world for many consecutive years now, attracting close to 10 million visitors annually.
