This Couple Have Spent 7 Years in the New Zealand Wilderness
Many people fantasize about leaving the stresses of an urban world behind. Miriam Lancewood and her husband have taken this wish to an extreme, having spent the last seven years living in the wilderness. Subscribe to Journeyman here: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=journeymanpictures
For the pair, the bush presents more elemental challenges to those faced in modernity: “every day is about surviving”. However, they have no desire to return to the city. “How can you deal with a monotonous existence…I have no idea?” In fact, Miriam hopes to inspire others through her alternative lifestyle, by releasing a book about her experiences: 'Woman in the Wilderness'.

Off The Grid Cabin In New Zealand Paradise
Hidden amongst the spectacular mountain ranges of the Kahurangi National park of New Zealand, this beautiful off-the-grid cabin sits in paradise.

Affectionally titled the Honeywell Hut, after it's builder Jack Honeywell, the off the grid cabin, although relatively new, looks as though it could have sat on the land for a hundred years.

Being situated on such a remote property, the cabin has to be completely off the grid, collecting it's own water and generating power though a small solar system.
Be sure to watch to the end of the video for a beautiful spoken word poem from Richard about the Baton Valley. To learn more about their horse trekking business, you...

The population of New Zealand is 4,334,000, the majority of whom are of European descent.
The largest minority are the native Maori. There are also a significant number of non-Maori Polynesians and Asians – especially in urban areas.
If you're thinking of moving to New Zealand, you'll need to decide where you're going to live.
Learn more about best places to live in New Zealand here, and decide where in the country you should settle.
Here're the 10 best places to live in New Zealand.
10. Waikato.
9. Nelson.
8. Selwyn.
7. Queenstown.
6. Christchurch.
5. Rotorua.
4. Auckland.
3. Dunedin.
2. Taranaki.
1. Wellington, the capital of New Zealand.
If you are moving to live in New Zealand and you’re really not sure where you want to settle,
Auckland can be a great place to begin, you can rent accommodation easily within the city
and it has fantastic transport links for the rest of the nation.
But be sure to use these transport links, explore the North and South Islands and find the location
that best suits you before you buy a home or even commit to living in New Zealand full time.
Whilst the nation is not vast or overpopulated, it does encompass such an impressive array of geographically
different regions that it would be a crime not to explore far more of the country than its leading city before you settle on a place in New Zealand to call home.

To learn more about their horse trekking business, you can visit their website here: http://www.nelsonhorsetreks.co.nz/

After so many years in the works, I’m so excited to finally be able to share a tour of our very own tiny house on wheels in New Zealand. I started this project almost 5 years ago now, and it’s wonderful to now be able to share the finished home with you. For those of you who have been following my journey since the very beginning, you’ve been waiting a long time for this one!

At roughly 15 square meters (160 square feet) this tiny home is completely off the grid, generating all of its power from the sun and collecting rain water. It’s designed to fit into the dimensions for legal travel on New Zealand’s roads
To find out more about the details and construction of this tiny house, be sure to visit our website: https://www.livingbiginatinyhouse.com/projects/the-seed-of-life-tiny-house-nz/
Currently parked up in an urban driveway, this home is designed to be simple, affordable and easily relocated, as what first attracted me to the idea of tiny homes was the concept of being able to own a home without owning the land that it sits on. While the home may be simple, it’s everything that we need! I hope you enjoy the full tour.
