The band's name derives from the Pittsburgh English slang term, "jagger bush," meaning a thorny bush. They were managed by The Skyliners manager, Joe Rock.
History
Early years and debut album (1964–1969)
While attending college at Slippery Rock State College, Donnie Iris (birth name Dominic Ierace) started a band called the Tri-Vels. The band became known as Donnie and the Donnells when the line up increased from three members to four. Shortly after dropping out of college Iris found out that a band called Gary and the Jewel Tones, of which Jimmie Ross was a member, needed a new guitarist. This gave birth to a new band called the "Jaggers." Forming around 1964, they began playing night clubs and other venues for the next few years gathering a respectable following in the region.
Valotte is the debut pop studio album by singer-songwriterJulian Lennon. The album was produced by Phil Ramone and recorded at several studios from February to August 1984. It was released in October 1984 on Charisma and Atlantic. The album was first certified gold in the United States, in the new year, then shortly afterwards being certified platinum. From the album, four singles were released, each with a music video, charting at various positions on the singles charts in both the United Kingdom and US. "Too Late for Goodbyes", the second US single, and "Valotte", the first US single, were both US Billboard Top 10 hits, the former reaching number5 and the latter reaching number9. The album peaked at number17 and 20 in the US and UK, respectively. In early 1985, a few months after the release of the album, Lennon went on tour around the US, Australia, and Japan from March to June 1985.
Here is 'The Rapper' by The Jaggerz from 1970, their #1 hit. The video consists of about 50 compilation LPs, Tapes, and CDs The Rapper has appeared on since 1970. And I am still missing about 10.

The Rapper (The Jaggerz) 70's Rock EXTENDED (Hip Hop, Shuffle Shapes, K-Tigers) Dance to Rock UPDATE
"The Rapper" is a song by The Jaggerz, written by band member Dominic Ierace, better known as Donnie Iris. Released as a single, it reached No. 2 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart and it was certified Gold by the RIAA in 1970 (see 1970 in music) for selling over a million copies.[2] (Iris later launched a solo career; his biggest such hit was "Ah! Leah!")
The song is addressed to a girl, or girls in general; it describes the method of a man who seduces women with untruths ("rapping".) The singer says, "You know what he's after"; he concludes by saying there comes a point at which the man has his target where he wants her. The girl has to "face reality." The record ends with a small group of applause heard in the studio.
The "rapper" of the title and "rappin'" in the lyrics have only s...

I've been waiting for you I wish you could too Had you too long to lay back now First time you caught my eye I knew I want to spend my life Making you feel like you should I'm not trying to make you do Nothing you don't want to But I said I love you My love depends on you It grow, it flows, it goes by you Won't you let me be your man So if you'd only tell me (it you'd only tell me) Tell me that you love me (tell me that you love me) I'll be the luckiest man alive I just keep on waiting, anticipating 'Til the day you say you're mine Won't you let me be your man Let me be your man
