'Keir Starmer needs to resign', says Elon Musk’s dad | LBC Exclusive
Elon Musk’s father has demanded Sir Keir Starmer resign as he hit out at Labour for sending England back to 'Tudor times'.
Speaking to LBC’s Andrew Marr, Errol Musk slammed the British government after reports suggested MPs could call for Elon to appear before Parliament following accusations his social media platform X spread 'disinformation'.
It comes after the tech billionaire played a central role in Donald Trump’s ascension to the White House, being named co-chief of the newly created Department of Government Efficiency in the wake of the Republican’s victory.
On reports Elon could be summoned before Parliament, Errol Musk, 78, told LBC: "I think people are in a state of somewhat shock as to what this new government is doing.

PM: 'Simplest way to end conflict is for Russia to stop the aggression' | War in Ukraine
As Russia claims Ukraine has launched long-range missiles into their territory, Sir Keir Starmer says the UK will "remain steadfast" in its support of Ukraine "for as long as it's needed".
Talking to Sky News at the G20 summit in Brazil, he also gives his reaction to farmers protesting against Labour plans to raise inheritance tax on their estates.
When asked by Sky's Beth Rigby if Labour is looking to wage a "class war" on wealthier people, he says "absolutely not" and the new government is taking a "balanced approach" to "fill a black hole" in the public finances.

Keir Starmer HITS BACK at concerns Labour is ‘too urban’ - 'My first job was on a farm!'
Sir Keir Starmer has responded to concerns raised by a 12-year-old aspiring farmer who fears his dreams of following in his family's agricultural footsteps could be dashed by proposed inheritance tax changes.
Henry Bailye appeared on GB News alongside his father Clive ahead of Tuesday's farmers' protest in London, where he made an emotional plea to the government.
Speaking to GB News, the Prime Minister responded to Henry and told Christopher Hope: "I don't know the details of Henrys case, I don't know what the farm in that particular case is worth.
"Assuming it is a mum or dad passing onto Henry, then it will be under the £3 million threshold so that will mean he is unaffected. I don't know the details of the particular case."

"I don't think there's room for something like you've suggested (appearing before Parliament) because what you're suggesting is a sort of rapprochement, and that's not going to happen, not while this government is doing the kind of things that they're doing. I don't, I can't see that happening."
Mr Musk defended comments he and his son have made, branding the UK government 'fascist', as he accused Sir Keir Starmer of 'spoiling' England’s reputation for being on the 'right side' of history.
He said: "England is a beacon of what we consider to be good, and I've always considered to be good, you know, on the side of right, and all that sort of thing.
"And what Starmer has done has sort of spoiled that."

McDonald's to 'rethink' prices after sales fall | BBC News
McDonald's has been hit by its first fall in global sales since the start of the pandemic in 2020 as consumers cut back on spending.
Outlets open for at least a year saw sales fall 1% over the April-June period compared with a year earlier.
The drop came despite the hamburger chain offering money off deals to try to win back cost-conscious customers and those who have boycotted the chain over the Israel-Gaza war.
Boss Chris Kempczinski said the poor results had forced the company into a "comprehensive rethink" of pricing.
