The Kaiser Wilhelm Society for the Advancement of Science (GermanKaiser-Wilhelm-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Wissenschaften) was a German scientific institution established in the German Kaiserreich in 1911. During the Third Reich it was involved in Nazi scientific operations, and after the Second World War was wound up, its functions being taken over by the Max Planck Society. The Kaiser Wilhelm Society was an umbrella organization for many institutes, testing stations, and research units spawned under its authority.
Constitution
The Kaiser Wilhelm Gesellschaft (KWG) was founded in 1911 in order to promote the natural sciences in Germany, by founding and maintaining research institutions formally independent from the state and its administrations. The institutions were to be under the guidance of prominent directors, which included luminaries such as Walther Bothe, Peter Debye, Albert Einstein, Fritz Haber, and Otto Hahn; a board of trustees also provided guidance.
Wilhelm held the minor league baseball pitching record for consecutive scoreless innings for 97 years, but he was not recognized as the record holder by baseball officials until 2004. Baseball officials declared Wilhelm the record holder a few days before Brad Thompson was thought to have broken the record. Two days after Wilhelm's streak was thought to be broken, The New York Times reported that a historian found three scoreless innings that were previously left off of Wilhelm's streak, indicating that his record had not actually been broken. Wilhelm is still the current record holder.

Nevertheless William II contributed much to the development of art culture and science in Germany. The economical and industrial upturn which both take place simultaneously under his patronage were completely destroyed during the First World War.

Kaiser Wilhelm II: A Life in Power by Christopher Clark.
"My Name Is Ozymandias": The Kaiser in Exile by Sally Marks
TODAY IN HISTORY, June 15th 1888: Kaiser Wilhelm II ascends the throne in Germany. William, seen here in shots from later times, had lost his father and grandfather the same year and inherited a troubled legacy. His confident, autocratic style of government created conflict with the Chancellor Otto von Bismarck,, among other things, but also led to discords on international levels. By steering away from the Russian-friendly course of his predecessor and competing against England and France in colonial and naval policies, he isolated the empire and prevented a future-oriented policy of alliances. The dismissal of Bismarck, the "Reichs founder" in 1890 was also seen as a serious error by his opponents as were his politics of retribution during the Chinese Boxer uprising and his position in the two Moroccan crises. Nevertheless William II contributed much to the development of art culture and science in Germany. The economical and industrial upturn which both take place simultaneously under his patronage were completely destroyed during the First World War.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.
