What Are Main Sequence Stars?
When a protostar begins fusing hydrogen in its core, it quickly passes through the T-Tauri stage and becomes a main sequence star. In this video, we are going to explain what exactly is a main sequence star.

The Life and Death of Stars: White Dwarfs, Supernovae, Neutron Stars, and Black Holes
We've learned how stars form, and we've gone over some different types of stars, like main sequence stars, red giants, and white dwarfs. But a star will move between these categories over its lifetime. How does that happen, exactly? And what is leftover when a star dies? A white dwarf? A neutron star? A black hole? Stars: Crash Course Astronomy #26
Today Phil’s explaining the stars and how they can be categorized using their spectra. Together with their distance, this provides a wealth of information about them including their luminosity, size, and temperature. The HR diagram plots stars’ luminosity versus temperature and most stars fall along the main sequence, where they live most of their lives.

Classification of Stars: Spectral Analysis and the H-R Diagram
So we have made it through the dark ages, and are now a few hundred million years into the lifetime of the universe. There are plenty of stars all over the place, but are they all the same? How can we classify stars? Let's go through the basics of the Harvard System, and then take a look at something called a Hertzsprung-Russell diagram.

Main Sequence lives in Portland, OR and makes sample-based music. The Ownership Society represents his first full-length release. It took 2 years and was created using nothing but records, a turntable, a mixer, an MPC-3000, and Digital Performer.
The Ownership Society plays with many ideas that are floating around our society today, which oddly enough were embodied in the recordings of past decades. It ranges in styles of hip hop from Prince Paul to Madlib to Kid Koala.

Another tune by Main Sequence called 'The Guilded Age' that is taken from his 2007 album The Ownership Society.
For some free samples of his other work visit - http://mainsequenceblog.com/ or his Myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/mainsequence
The video I created was generated using Winamps Visualization tools, so i'm afraid it's nothing fancy. I just wanted to get this piece of music onto Youtube for others to listen.
Produced and recorded by Main Sequence. Additional recording on "Pay to Play" and "Look" by Pluto.
Vocals by Loc Thiese and Ro on "Pay to Play" and "Look". Mastered by Alter Echo
