Jump! (跳浪) is a Singaporean Chinese drama which aired on MediaCorp Channel U in May 2012. It was aired on weekdays in the 10pm time slot. The series features Taiwan-based Singaporean singer Wong Jing Lun in his acting debut.
Plot
Xiao Chunli is a Chinese teacher at Blue Sky Secondary School, neighbourhood school notorious for its rock-bottom results and delinquency. Her efforts to help her students are hampered by Mr Yan, the school principal who cares more about KPIs than the students themselves. One of the teachers Xu Dele is a master with the skipping rope and he begins recruiting students to participate in a double dutch competition. Much to Miss Xiao and Mr Xu's frustration, several of the more problematic students or those rejected by other CCAs are "dumped" into the team.
Mr Xu and his students embark on a quest to win a medal at the competition. The students learn some valuable lessons about life and teamwork along the way.
Set in Austria, in 1928, with the spectre of Nazism on the rise, a young Jew, Philippe Halsman, is accused of patricide after his father's death during a hike through the Alps. His strained relationship with his father, and the apparent evidence that he has been struck on the head with a rock, point towards the son's guilt. Halsman is put on trial, in Innsbruck, where his case is taken up by one of the country's leading lawyers.
The plot revolves around Greta Feeney (Burley), who intends to commit suicide on New Year's Eve, and the interplay of her friends, and her gangster father. The story is framed by a voice-over narrative by Greta.
The Man in Seat Sixty-One is a travel website written and maintained by Mark Smith. The website focuses almost exclusively on train-based travel, with occasional ferry recommendations. The site has won several awards, including 'Best Travel Website' in the Guardian & Observer Travel Awards in 2008. The Man in Seat Sixty-One provides information on the best routes, fares and times for journeys from the UK to most of Europe, and for rail travel within most countries in the rest of the world, including exhaustive coverage of the Indian Railways and the Russian Railways.
History
The site is a personal project run by Mark Smith, formerly a manager in the rail industry. The site is called Seat 61 after his preferred seat in First Class on the Eurostar. He began the site as a hobby in 2001, after frustration with the difficulty he perceived in finding how to book rail tickets within Europe. In September 2007 he gave up his job working for the Department of Transport to run the website full-time.
The SEAT 128 is a 3-door hatchback coupé from the Spanish automaker SEAT launched in 1976. Being essentially the three-door hatchback version of the Fiat 128, it was available with two engine options in Spain, the 1.2L and the more powerful and well-known 1430 engine. The design of the SEAT 128 was made in Spain by SEAT engineers, and being marketed as "Three Times SEAT" in order to underline its triple combination ability of sportiness, versatility and design, the car was aimed at rich, young drivers. However despite its nice looks, the 128 model never enjoyed great commercial success, since in a period of economic recession and transition in Spain most people opted for the smaller, less expensive SEAT 127.
The SEAT 127 is a supermini produced by the Spanish automaker SEAT between the spring of 1972 and 1982, based on the Fiat 127.
Due to SEAT design policy, a four-door variant of the car (without a hatchback lid, in spite of the fastback roofline) was added to the lineup in 1973. While usually fitted with the same 903 cc engine as in the Fiat 127, SEAT also produced a unique variant of the 127 OHV engine. This had 1010 cc instead of 903 cc and produced 52PS (38kW) rather than the 43 or 45PS (32 or 33kW) of the smaller unit.
The SEAT 127 underwent the same styling modifications as did the Fiat 127 (new grille, taillights, bumpers) for the Serie 2, of January 1980. At the same time, a full five-door hatchback bodywork also became available.
When their licence from Fiat expired, SEAT redesigned some parts of the car and renamed it the SEAT Fura. Some design parts of this model were also used in the Ibiza Mk1. SEAT produced 1,238,166 units of the 127 between 1972 and 1982.
