Jin Au-Yeung (born 4 June 1982), who performs under the stage nameMC Jin, is an American rapper, songwriter, and actor of Hong KongHakka descent. Born in Miami, Florida, and later living in New York City, he decided to reside permanently in Hong Kong before returning to New York to reside permanently in the summer of 2012. He speaks both Cantonese and English fluently, although he is not literate in Chinese. In the United States, he was both the first American solo rapper of East Asian and Hong Kong descent to be signed to a major hip hop record label.
Early life
Jin Au-Yeung was born on June 4, 1982, in Miami, Florida, to Hong Kong immigrants of Hakka descent. He was raised in the general Miami area, where his parents owned a Chinese restaurant, and where Jin attended school. While a student at John F. Kennedy Middle School in North Miami Beach, Jin participated in many rap battles with his peers. After graduating from high school in 2000, Jin decided to forgo college, and in 2001 he moved with his parents to Queens, New York City.
Jin(Japanese:JIN-仁-) is a Japanese seinen manga written and illustrated by Motoka Murakami, which was featured on Super Jump during its original run from 2000 to 2010. It was compiled into 20 tankōbon by Shueisha and published between April 4, 2001, and February 4, 2011.
The manga series has been adapted into three live-action television drama series: two in Japan in 2009 and 2011; and in South Korea in 2012.
Plot
Jin Minakata, an ordinary brain surgeon, has an accident after his operation with an unidentified patient, and realizes that he has traveled back in time and reached the end of the Edo period.
Through an encounter with various historical characters, Jin sets up a small clinic Jin'yudo and saves those suffering from disease and injury with his medical skills.
Jin (Chinese:晉), originally known as Tang (唐), was a major state during the middle part of the Zhou dynasty, based near the center of what was then China, on the lands attributed to the legendary Xia dynasty: the southern part of modern Shanxi. Although it grew in power during the Spring and Autumn period, its aristocratic structure saw it break apart when the duke lost power to his nobles. In 453 BCE, Jin was split into three successor states: Han, Zhao and Wei. The Partition of Jin marks the end of the Spring and Autumn Period and the beginning of the Warring States period.
Geography
Jin was located in the lower Fen River drainage basin on the Shanxi plateau. To the north were the Xirong and Beidi peoples. To the west were the Lüliang Mountains and then the Loess Plateau of northern Shaanxi. To the southwest the Fen River turns west to join the south-flowing part of the Yellow River which soon leads to the Guanzhong, an area of the Wei River Valley that was the heartland of the Western Zhou and later of the Qin. To the south are the Zhongtiao Mountains and then the east-west valley of the Yellow River which was the main route to the Wei Valley to the west. To the east were the Taihang Mountains and then the North China Plain. This location gave ambitious Jin dukes the opportunity to move north to conquer and absorb the Xirong tribes, move southwest and fight Qin, and move southeast to absorb the many smaller Zhou states.

MC Jin & Wyclef Jean - Stop The Hatred (Official Music Video)
After witnessing the uptick of heinous hate crimes against the AAPI community, I wanted to use my artistry to express some of my own sentiments and raise awareness to these issues. To be able to reconnect with the iconic Wyclef Jean for this song is not only special for me on a personal level, but also symbolizes the importance of solidarity amongst all communities during these times,” says MC Jin. “The song title was actually inspired by my 8-year-old son, Chance, who boldly shouted "Stop the hatred" into a crowd of thousands at a Stop Asian Hate rally in New York City.” - MC Jin
