"It's Tricky" is the final single released from Run–D.M.C.'s third album, Raising Hell. It was released late in 1986 through Profile Records and was co-produced by Rick Rubin and the group themselves. The song peaked at No. 57 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 21 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. In the UK, the song made #16 on the UK Singles Chart upon its original release and #74 in 1998, while the Jason Nevins remix of their song "It's Like That" spent its fifth week at #1. Two decades after the song's release, The Knack sued Run-D.M.C. on the grounds "It's Tricky" sampled their song "My Sharona" without permission.

Music video

The music video features Penn and Teller, who are hustling a group of people with a game of three-card Monte in front of the Rialto Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Run–D.M.C. are called and shut their business down by winning every hand they play. Penn then asks the group if they can teach them to dance, which they do after insisting that Penn and Teller change their clothes. The video ends with Run–D.M.C. showing up to a gig in Japan six months later, where they find the duo impersonating them; unable to tell the difference, the concert promoters deny Run–D.M.C. the chance to perform.

Degrassi: The Next Generation (season 7)

The seventh season of Degrassi: The Next Generation commenced airing in Canada on 14 January 2008, concluded on 23 June 2008, and consists of twenty-four episodes. Degrassi: The Next Generation is a Canadian serial teen drama television series. This season takes place during the second semester of the school year that began in season six and continues to depict the lives of a group of high school sophomores, juniors, seniors and college freshman as they deal with some of the challenges and issues young adults face, such as rape, school violence, cancer, drug use, prostitution, sexual misconduct, racism, sexism, parenthood, HIV and relationships.

Season seven aired Mondays at 7:30 p.m. (7:00 p.m. in Quebec) on CTV, a Canadian terrestrial television network. In the United States it aired Fridays at 8:00 p.m. on The N, a digital cable network aimed at teenagers and young adults. Season seven premiered in the US three months before it began broadcasting in Canada, on 5 October 2007. In total sixteen episodes aired in the US before they did Canada. Further to being broadcast on television, episodes were made available for free streaming on CTV's website; registered users of the Canadian and US iTunes Stores are also able to purchase and download the season for playback on home computers and certain iPods. The second Degrassi dedicated soundtrack, Music from Degrassi: The Next Generation, was released 9 December 2008.

It's Tricky (horse)

It's Tricky (foaled February 26, 2008 in Kentucky) is an American Thoroughbred racemare. She was sired by Mineshaft, who also sired the Kentucky Derby contender, Dialed In. She is out of the mare Catboat. Owned by Godolphin Racing LLC and trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, in 2011 she won the Busher Stakes, the Acorn Stakes and the Coaching Club American Oaks.

2010 season

On November 28, 2010, It's Tricky won her first race a 6 furlong maiden race. She was ridden by Alan Garcia.

2011 season

On January 26, 2011, It's Tricky won the 1 mile 70 yards long allowance race with Eddie Castro.

On February 20, 2011, It's Tricky won the Busher Stakes going 1 mile 70 yards with Eddie Castro. She won by 8 lengths as a favourite. She was perfect in three starts.

On April 2, 2011, It's Tricky finished 4th in the Gulfstream Park Oaks to R Heat Lightning. Her jockey was Alan Garcia.

On June 11, 2011, It's Tricky won the Acorn Stakes by 3 3/4 lengths over the favorite Turbulent Descent.

On July 23, 2011, It's Tricky won the Coaching Club American Oaks. She beat the strong field of Joyful Victory, Black-Eyed Susan Stakes winner Royal Delta, Mother Goose Stakes winner Buster's Ready and Kentucky Oaks winner Plum Pretty.

Tricky (TV series)

Tricky was a British children's animated television programme that aired in the ITV Network's children's strand CITV on Saturday mornings from 30 August to 20 December 1997. It was the first live children's show hosted by an animated character - a talking dragon named Tricky. His co-host was a strange dragon-cat hybrid, who hatched from an egg in the third show, and was called 'Purrdy' because of a competition won by a 5-year-old girl from Dunoon, Leanne Campbell. Claudia Winkleman made frequent appearances on the show, and Tricky would usually call her 'Claudia Winklebottom'. The second edition of Tricky was pre-empted by Princess Diana's funeral. The showed was produced by Real Time Animation for Granada Television.

The show didn't prove to be all that popular, and only lasted for one series. But Tricky made a comeback to TV screens in 2003; he was renamed 'Rorry', though Purrdy kept her name, and hosted the kid's channel POP!.

Tricky (musician)

Adrian Nicholas Matthews Thaws (born 27 January 1968), better known by his stage name Tricky, is an English record producer, vocalist, director, actor, and musician. He began his career as an early collaborator of Massive Attack before embarking on a solo career with his debut album, Maxinquaye, in 1995. The release won Tricky popular acclaim and marked the beginning of a lengthy collaborative partnership with vocalist Martina Topley-Bird. He released four more studio albums before the end of the decade, including Pre-Millennium Tension and the pseudonymous Nearly God, both in 1996. He has gone on to release six studio albums since 2000, most recently the self-titled Adrian Thaws (2014).

Often considered a pioneer of the trip hop style that rose to prominence in the UK during the 1990s, Tricky is noted for his whispering, sprechgesang vocal approach and a dark, layered musical style that draws on disparate cultural influences and genres, including hip hop, alternative rock and ragga. He has collaborated with a wide range of artists over the course of his career, including Terry Hall, Björk, Gravediggaz, Grace Jones, Massive Attack and PJ Harvey.
