Randy Colley and Bill Eadie created the Demolition gimmick and worked for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). They debuted as a heeltag team on the January 17, 1987 edition of Superstars, alongside managerLuscious Johnny V, defeating the team of Salvatore Bellomo and Mario Mancini. The tag team resembled Lord Humungus of the 1981 film Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, with the facepaint of hard rockers KISS. Demolition wore studded black leather outfits and leather-covered hockey masks to the ring, which they removed to reveal face paint usually made up of some combination of black, white, red, or silver colors, though other colors were sometimes included. After only a few matches, Colley was replaced with Barry Darsow in a match aired on the February 14, 1987 edition of Superstars. In an RF Video shoot interview with Eadie and Darsow, Eadie claimed that Colley was replaced because he was recognizable to the fans as the man who previously performed as Moondog Rex. The WWF pitched a few potential replacements to Eadie, but he felt fans would recognize the suggested replacements. Eadie felt that many WWF fans would not recognize Darsow, who had been working for Jim Crockett Promotions as Krusher Khruschev alongside Nikita Koloff. Darsow left Crockett following a dispute in order to take over the role of Smash.
"Demolition" was the pilot episode for British sitcomThe Young Ones. It was written by Ben Elton, Rik Mayall and Lise Mayer, and directed by Paul Jackson. Although made as a pilot episode, the five subsequent episodes had been commissioned and recorded by the time of broadcast, so instead "Demolition" was promoted to the ordinary first episode of a series, and has remained as so. It was first aired on BBC2 on 9 November 1982.
Plot
The four students go about their day-to-day life in their shared house, which includes a lentil casserole made with Lux washing powder and some of Neil's snot for dinner, and one of several of Neil's failed suicide attempts. The lentil casserole is spilled on the floor several times during the episode. Vyvyan acquires an amputated human leg from the morgue on which he has to write an essay for anatomy class, though he would prefer to mount it on the bonnet of his Ford Anglia. Balowski visits and admits that he isn't really a foreigner. Vyvyan then announces that they had received a letter from the council, who are planning to demolish their house the next day. Meanwhile Vyvyan drops his pet hamster (which he has named "Cliff Richard" in spite for Rick's enthusiasm for Cliff's music) in the casserole after it bites his hand. It proceeds to eat all the casserole and blow up to balloon size. Rick then thinks he sees a rat which he smashes to death with Neil's guitar (taken from the fridge); Neil is unhappy as he says the guitar was made by his grandfather out of matchsticks on his deathbed.
Immortal is a 1986 album by gospel singer Cynthia Clawson. The hymn "Immortal Invisible" was a hit on contemporary Christian radio, and the album peaked at number 36 on the Billboard Top Contemporary Christian album chart. Produced by John Rosasco, the album was released on Dayspring, a subsidiary of Word Records.
The game is known for its high degree of graphic violence (much reduced in the NES version) along with its punishing difficulty.
The music for Apple IIGS version was made by Douglas Fulton. On some conversions, Rob Hubbard and Michael Bartlow are credited.
Development
Will Harvey had started development on an Apple II game to be called Campaign, intending it to be an online multiplayer RPG. As the story developed, it became a single player game only.
Story
The game begins with the player in control of an unnamed wizard. In the first room, the player is given the option of viewing the image of the character's mentor, another wizard named Mordamir. He is calling for help from deep below in the labyrinth, though he is attempting to communicate to another man named Dunric.
