James joined the Army in Norfolk, Virginia, and by September 30, 1864, he was serving as a Corporal in Company B of the 36th Regiment U.S. Colored Troops. On that day, his unit participated in the Battle of Chaffin's Farm in Virginia, where he was seriously wounded, resulting in the amputation of his left arm. Six months after the battle, on April 6, 1865, James was issued the Medal of Honor for his actions at Chaffin's Farm. He was discharged for disability the following October.

"I Can See for Miles" is a song written by Pete Townshend of The Who, recorded for the band's 1967 album, The Who Sell Out. It was the only song from the album to be released as a single, on 14 October 1967. It remains The Who's biggest hit single in the US to date, and their only one to reach the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.
Background
Recorded in several separate sessions in studios across two continents, the recording of "I Can See for Miles" exemplifies the increasingly sophisticated studio techniques of rock bands in the late 1960s, such as those used for the Beatles and the Beach Boys. The backing tracks were recorded in London, the vocals and overdubbing were performed in New York at Talentmasters Studios, and the album was mastered in Los Angeles at the Gold Star Studios. The initial UK mono pressing (Track Records) and the US Decca single has an overdubbed second bass line mixed upfront, whilst the drums are mixed slightly lower.
It reached number 10 in the UK and number 9 in the US. Though these figures would seem successful to most bands, Townshend was disappointed. He had written the song in 1966 but had held it back as an "ace in the hole", believing it would be The Who's first number one single. He is quoted as saying, "To me it was the ultimate Who record, yet it didn't sell. I spat on the British record buyer."
James Roy Horner (August 14, 1953– June 22, 2015) was an Oscar-winningAmericancomposer, conductor and orchestrator of film scores. He was known for the integration of choral and electronic elements in many of his film scores, and for his frequent use of motifs associated with Celtic music.

Alan Silvestri - Cast Away Theme (Cast Away Soundtrack) [HQ]
The film's minimal score was composed by Alan Silvestri for which he won a Grammy Award in 2002. The film's soundtrack is most notable for its lack of score and creature sound effects (such as bird song or insect sounds) while Chuck is on the island, which is intended to reinforce the feeling of isolation. Cast Away contains no original musical score until Chuck escapes the island. However, there is a Russian choral piece heard near the start of the film that was not composed or even recorded by Silvestri, so it does not appear on the film's soundtrack list. It is a traditional Russian song written by Lev Knipper called "Oh, My Field" ("Polyushko, Polye") and it is available on various collections of Red Army hymns. The tracks in Silvestri's score are as follows:

He Sleeps from the soundtrack Pretty Woman. Composed by the great James Newton Howard. This is the theme where Richard Gere is sleeping and gets kissed by Julia Roberts. Very nice romantic piano theme. Too bad there is no score of this movie only various artists, which is a pity I think.

Terminator 2 "Main Title" piano
Sheets: http://www.pianoplateau.com/content/terminator-2-main-title-brad-fiedel
Composed by Brad Fiedel. Arranged by me:-) I really love this piece. I can remember when i was a young boy and i repeated to listen to the opening theme over and over again. By rewinding the videorecorder. I also did this at the end of the movie where you can hear the main title again. And at a certain time the video was making some terrible noises at that place:P I guess i listen to it too much:P
Brad Fiedel composed this INCREDIBLE piece and i think he wroted an epic theme for filmmusic with it. He composed the music for the first two terminator's. He also wanted to work on Terminator 3 but when he found out that they wanted to use a real orchestra, Brad decided not to work on it:S That is too bad:( Beca...

I was afraid the same would happen to JNH's new score of the Hunger Games, but luckily there will be an original score released. Can't wait for that one :-)
I hope you enjoy this piano theme of the love scene.

I think there is nothing wrong working with synthesizer's just look at Hans Zimmer's work. Maybe Hans Zimmer is inspired by the work of Brad Fiedel. I don't know but it is an interesting question:-)
Anyway i decided to make an arrangement of the main title since i like it SOOO much and i have see a lot of Terminator piano videos but strangely enough not of the main title theme:(
Foremost songs of the love theme. Which is also great!!
And did anyone see Terminator Salvation already?? I think it is GREAT!! I enjoyed it very much! And i think Danny Elfman did a great job!! Especially the opening theme is STUNNING. It seems to me that he is inspired by the work of Brad Fiedel! Great song!! Also the theme salvation is great! I have to say i am not really a Danny Elfman fan but he did a great job i think. But still Fiedel's work is much better:P
I also made sheetmusic of this piece so if you like it, i can send it to you. I think they are quite accurate. And i even thinking to make a tutorial for this one. Because the rhythm is very tricky. But if you know it, i think you are able to play the whole song.
I really hope you enjoy this video:-)

Every night in my dreams I see you, I feel you, That is how I know you go on. Far across the distance and spaces between us You have come to show you go on. Near, far, wherever you are, I believe that the heart does go on. Once more, you open the door And you're here in my heart, And my heart will go on and on. Love can touch us one time and last for a lifetime, And never let go till we're gone. Love was when I loved you, one true time I hold to. In my life we'll always go on. Near, far, wherever you are, I believe that the heart does go on. Once more, you open the door And you're here in my heart, And my heart will go on and on. You're here, there's nothing to fear, And I know that my heart will go on. We'll stay forever this way. You are safe in my heart, And my heart will go on and on.
