Donell Jones (born May 22, 1973) is an American R&B singer, songwriter and record producer. He is most notable for the hits "U Know What's Up", "Where I Wanna Be", and his cover of Stevie Wonder's "Knocks Me Off My Feet". Jones broke into the music scene in the late 1990s with the release of his second album, Where I Wanna Be.
In 1996, Donell Jones was signed with Untouchables/LaFace Records by DJ Eddie F of Heavy D and The Boyz and released his debut album, My Heart, which included the hit cover of Stevie Wonder's 1976 ballad "Knocks Me Off My Feet". It wasn't until 1999, however, that Jones began to establish himself as a true R&B hit maker with his second album, Where I Wanna Be. The album yielded number-one hits such as the title track, "U Know What's Up" produced by Eddie F and Darren Lighty, which featured TLC member Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes. Other hits included "Shorty Got Her Eyes on Me" and "This Luv". The album went on to sell over one million copies and garnered Jones an American Music Award. In 2000, Jones recorded the song "I'll Go" for the Love and Basketball soundtrack. Jones released his third album in 2002, the gold-selling Life Goes On album. It featured the hits, "You Know That I Love You" (#16 R&B), "Don't Leave" featuring G-Wise and "Put Me Down" featuring Styles P..
"I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" is a song written and performed by Scottish duo The Proclaimers, and first released as the lead single from their 1988 album Sunshine on Leith. Although it failed to reach the top ten in either the UK or Ireland on its initial release, it has since become their most popular song worldwide, initially becoming a number 1 hit in Iceland, before reaching number 1 in both Australia and New Zealand in early 1989, and in 1993 the song reached the top five on both the US Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Hot 100 charts following its appearance in the film Benny & Joon. In 2007 the Proclaimers re-recorded the song with English comedians Peter Kay and Matt Lucas for the Comic Relief charity, scoring a number one hit in the UK.
"I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" has become a live staple at the Proclaimers' concerts. The duo played it at Edinburgh 50,000 – The Final Push at Murrayfield Stadium on 6 July 2005, the final concert of Live 8, to symbolise the conclusion of "The Long Walk to Justice".
Clipse was an American hip hop duo, formed by brothers Gene "No Malice" Thornton (formerly known as "Malice") and Terrence "Pusha T" Thornton, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, in 1992. The group is affiliated with the production team The Neptunes, and in 2001 signed to their imprint Star Trak Entertainment.
The Thornton brothers were born in The Bronx and moved to Virginia Beach. They formed the group Jarvis and were introduced to Pharrell Williams, one half of the production team The Neptunes. Impressed with their lyrical talents, Williams formed a working relationship with the duo. He eventually helped them secure a recording contract with Elektra Records in 1996. Under Elektra, and with The Neptunes handling its production, Clipse recorded its debut album, Exclusive Audio Footage. The group's first single, "The Funeral", helped to generate fan interest in the album, but failed to make a significant commercial impact. With "The Funeral" deemed a failure, Exclusive Audio Footage itself was shelved indefinitely. Clipse was released from its record contract shortly thereafter.

A live performance of I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) on David Letterman, complete with an entertaining interview. To clear up a common confusion, this song became an international hit and seeped into the global pop culture landscape in 1993 when it appeared on the opening credits of the film Benny and Joon. However the song was first released as a single in August 1988 where it peaked at #11 in the UK. This appearance is from March 21, 1989 when the twins toured the US to support their Sept 1988 album 'Sunshine on Leith'. There are a lot of comments about where they are now. As of 2023 they have released 12 albums and continue to tour worldwide with a fantastic and tight live band. I encourage those interested to check out their live album recorded at the Belly Up in San Diego in 2016. https:...

Ooh yeah yeah
Most people never seem
To think about the things we really need
Ohh hoo whuu
So I'm offering this wrapped present
Wrapped up in a package that you can give
From someone(Give from someone)
This package I'm will bring to you
Is my gift to you
Yeah
We must not predict
Without giving up ourself you know
Its just not a gift
Ooh no ha
So how can you expect to get
From someone else unless you give
That's just a sign of a selfish man
So I'm offering my heart and soul
And every single part
I have to give
Of myself (Giving of myself)
Yeah
My love is what I bring to you
Is my gift to you
Oh yeah
My gift, my gift, my gift to you
Ohhh
So I'm offering this wrapped present
Wrapped up in a package that you can give
From someone(Give from someone)Oh yeah
This package I will bring to you
Is my gift to you
Satisy you
Going to sing it again
My gift to you
Yeah
My gift you
Do you hear what I am talking about baby
My gift to you
Satisfy you, huh, satisfy you
