Jonathan Cornicus: "Egypt is BLOCKING Gaza’s Exodus—They PROFIT From Hamas’s War Machine!"
🇮🇱 Jonathan Conricus, former IDF spokesperson and senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, delivers an explosive and strategic analysis on NewsNation, revealing how Hamas is manipulating hostage talks while its allies, Qatar and Egypt, shield them from pressure. He confirms Trump’s final warning to Hamas, stating: “Release all the hostages NOW, or it’s OVER for you.” He exposes why Hamas refuses to negotiate in good faith, explaining: “As long as Hamas is being fed, clothed, and protected by Qatar and the UN, they have NO reason to surrender.”
⚔️ Conricus then turns his focus to Egypt, accusing them of profiting off Hamas’s war machine. He reveals how Egypt has smuggled weapons into Gaza for decades while pretending to mediate peace. He declares: “Egypt has been playing...

He declares: “Egypt has been playing a dishonest game for 30 years—allowing weapons in, enjoying ceasefires, and making sure Hamas survives.” He also states that Egypt REFUSES to open its borders to let Palestinians leave Gaza, warning: “If they truly wanted to help civilians, they’d let them out. Instead, they keep them locked in to serve as human shields.”
🔥 Closing with a strategic warning, Conricus lays out Israel’s next steps: “Hamas must feel REAL pressure—not just military strikes, but total economic and political isolation.” He demands that aid be cut off until hostages are freed, slamming Western leaders who push for ceasefires while hostages are still in captivity. He warns: “Hamas’s only leverage is hostages. The moment they lose them, they are finished. THAT is why they are stalling.”

Egypt sung by Cory Asbury as a part of the Revival's In The Air album.
This is a song of thanks to the One who fights for us even in our weakness and sets us free to worship him. This song has been reviving us as a community and waking us up to a God who is relentlessly kind.

Lyrics:
Verse 1
I won’t forget
The wonder of how You brought
Deliverance
The exodus of my heart
Pre Chorus
You found me
You freed me
Held back the waters for my release
Oh Yahweh
Chorus
You’re the God who fights for me
Lord of every victory
Hallelujah, hallelujah
You have torn apart the sea
You have led me through the deep
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Verse 2
A cloud by day
A sign that You are with me
The fire by night
A guiding light to my feet
Bridge
You stepped into my Egypt
You took me by the hand
You marched me out in freedom
Into the promised land
Now I will not forget You
I’ll sing of all You’ve done
Death is swallowed up forever
By the fury of Your love
Written by Cory Asbury, Phil Wickham, Ethan Hulse, Brian Johnson, and Lee Cummings

Egypt have just spelt out detailed plans for what could potentially lead to the end of Benjamin Netanyahu's time in power.
Right, so we’ve finally got the details of the Egyptian led plan for the reconstruction of Gaza. It is detailed, it is thorough, it still raises a few questions, but compared to the Israel and Trump endorsed plan, it is orders of magnitude better, not that that was a very high bar to cross, when the alternative is forced displacement of the entire Gaza Strip to neighbouring countries who have not only refused that, but have now come up with and gained the backing of Arab leaders from across the Middle East.
Gaza has endured months of destruction and is now at the mercy of Israel once again as they cut off aid supplies and resume strikes, to all intents and purposes ending the ceasefire as they have because they’ve once again changed the rules and demand everyone else accept that or else. The world is tired at seeing Israel act with impunity, now a plan to restore Gaza is on the table, the small matter of putting Israel in their place and removing them from this equation, much as this plan also removes Hamas from it as well, must be approached. If the entire Middle East can now finally speak with one voice, backing this plan as something they want to see delivered, then how they choose to deal with Israel next, as they must, is critical.
Right, so it is hardly breaking news to anyone on the planet I shouldn’t think by this point that Gaza is in ruins and its population war weary and utterly traumatised by the death and destruction meted out on them and their loved ones, but there may be good news on the horizon in the aftermath of this catastrophe. Egypt as we know has been working on a plan to rebuild and they have now announced a very ambitious $53 billion plan to reconstruct Gaza and their proposal has garnered support from across Middle Eastern Arab nations in attendance in Cairo yesterday for this plan to finally be made public and the Palestinian Authority, massively criticised for their aiding and abetting Israeli atrocity in the West Bank were also in attendance and some intriguing news came from them too, which I’ll come onto in a moment.
The Israeli genocide of Gaza has of course resulted in unprecedented levels of destruction. Entire neighbourhoods have been reduced to rubble, critical infrastructure has been obliterated, and tens of thousands of civilians were killed or injured and many more than that have been forcibly displaced from their homes. War crimes every one of them. The international community, human rights organisations, we as ordinary observers have for months condemned Israel’s actions as disproportionate and genocidal, accusing it of targeting civilian populations and infrastructure because that is exactly what they have been doing. Homes, schools, hospitals, everything levelled because it is Hamas, or a Hamas base, no matter how ridiculous and illegal the act. Israel will justify anything it does without restraint. The devastation has left what is left Gaza’s original 2.3 million inhabitants in dire need of humanitarian assistance and long-term reconstruction.

Nesting Spotted Flycatchers | Muscicapa striata | British Birding
In this video I follow nesting Spotted Flycatchers feeding their chicks over a period of eight days watching them grow and fledge. Watch the flycatcher chicks growing up day by day at a remarkable rate and make the parent birds work hard in catching insects to feed them. Spotted Flycatcher, Muscicapa striata, is a small songbird found in Europe and parts of Asia but becoming an increasingly scarce sight in British birding, making watching them nesting a special experience. While Spotted Flycatcher is not a colourful bird it is interesting for its migratory habits and tendency to often nest close to humans.

The Spotted Flycatcher
The Spotted Flycatcher (Muscicapa striata) is a small passerine bird that belongs to the flycatcher family. These birds are known for their elegant appearance and exceptional hunting skills. They have a distinct plumage, featuring pale underparts, a brownish-gray upper body, and conspicuous dark spots on their crown and back.

Spotted Flycatchers-Making A Simple Standing Blind- BIG ANNOUNCEMENT
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to discover a Spotted Flycatcher nesting in the corner of our old polytunnel!! What a result. So we waited and watched and she hatched out all four eggs. This was then a perfect chance to get some close up shots as the parents went about their business feeding their hungry brood. Watch how I explain my method of constructing a simple standing blind to enable me to get some great shots of these beautiful Summer migrants. Also I have a big announcement at the end of the film!!!

The Spotted Flycatcher | WILDLIFE SINGAPORE BIRDING | 4K
The Spotted Flycatcher (Muscicapa striata) is a charming and migratory bird species found across Europe and parts of Asia and Africa. Recognizable by its subtle plumage featuring brownish-gray upperparts and pale underparts, adorned with distinct spotting on the breast, this unassuming bird captivates with its understated beauty. Despite its modest appearance, the Spotted Flycatcher possesses remarkable aerial agility, adeptly catching flying insects on the wing from exposed perches such as branches or wires. During the breeding season, it builds cup-shaped nests in sheltered locations, where females lay and incubate their eggs. With its soft, melodious song, the Spotted Flycatcher adds a delightful soundtrack to woodlands, parks, and gardens during the summer months. As a long-distance mi...

The Spotted Flycatcher's High-pitched Call - Bird Sounds #shorts
The Spotted Flycatcher's high-pitched call. This charismatic little bird is a late Spring arrival in the UK. If you're lucky enough to encounter them, they'll take little notice of you as they sally out constantly to catch insects mid-flight.
The Spotted Flycatcher is a declining bird in the UK. They are only seen in the UK from May to September and they spend winter in Africa and S Asia.

https://wn.com/Spotted_Flycatchers_Making_A_Simple_Standing_Blind_Big_Announcement

As a long-distance migrant, it embarks on an epic journey to wintering grounds in sub-Saharan Africa, facing challenges such as habitat loss and climate change along the way. Conservation efforts to protect breeding and stopover habitats are essential for ensuring the continued survival of this beloved bird species, cherished by birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts worldwide for its elegance and grace.

Roman rule in Egypt
Maps of Roman Egypt
Northern Africa under Roman rule
The Roman Empire during the reign of Hadrian (117 – 138). Two legions were deployed in the imperial province of Ægyptus (Egypt) in the year 125.
As a key province, but also the 'crown domain' where the emperors succeeded the divine Pharaohs, Egypt was ruled by a uniquely styled Praefectus augustalis ('Augustal prefect'), instead of the traditional senatorial governor of other Roman provinces. The prefect was a man of equestrian rank and was appointed by the Emperor. The first prefect of Aegyptus, Gaius Cornelius Gallus, brought Upper Egypt under Roman control by force of arms, and established a protectorate over the southern frontier district, which had been abandoned by the later Ptolemies.
The second prefect, Ael...

ACOUP - Why Roman Egypt Was Such a Strange Province
Continuing the run of Bret’s Roman one-offs, this article provides a very quick and dirty analysis of Roman Egypt. More specifically, it examines in what ways Egypt was different from other Roman provinces. It also examines why Egypt was important both to Rome as a polity and to the study of Roman history.

Why Was Ancient Egypt Crucial for the Roman Empire
#Documentary #Rome #romanempire #history #ancientegypt
Ancient Egypt held immense significance for the Roman Empire due to its strategic, economic, and cultural importance. Firstly, Egypt was the breadbasket of the empire, supplying grains vital to feeding Rome's vast population. The Nile's fertile lands facilitated abundant agricultural production, ensuring stability in food supply. Additionally, Egypt's wealth derived from its production of papyrus, a crucial material for record-keeping and communication in the ancient world. Moreover, Egypt's strategic location provided control over trade routes connecting Africa, Europe, and Asia. Culturally, Egypt was a melting pot, enriching Roman society with its traditions, beliefs, and knowledge. Its conquest solidified Roman power in the Me...

Ranking Roman Provinces from Worst to Best
THE ANCIENT ROMAN CHALLENGE: Take a shot every time a province produced wine.
Wow, I cannot believe I finally managed to pull this video out, it took me weeks of research to finish it.
There might be some discrepancies about regions/provinces. Why are some listed provinces merged (Gaul, Hispania...) and others are not? Isn't that unfair??
Given the historical situation the borders of the provinces changed over time (look at Diocletian reforms, Balkans suddenly becomes like 30 provinces) I needed to make some cuts (or merges rather) in order to make the video interesting as well as historical. The best solution I came up with are those 18 provinces/regions you see in the vid.

Roman province
In Ancient Rome, a province was the basic, and, until the Tetrarchy, largest territorial and administrative unit of the empire's territorial possessions outside of Italy. The word province in modern English has its origins in the term used by the Romans.
Provinces were generally governed by politicians of senatorial rank, usually former consuls or former praetors. A later exception was the province of Egypt, incorporated by Augustus after the death of Cleopatra: it was ruled by a governor of equestrian rank only, perhaps as a discouragement to senatorial ambition. This exception was unique, but not contrary to Roman law, as Egypt was considered Augustus' personal property, following the tradition of earlier, Hellenistic kings.

The second prefect, Aelius Gallus, made an unsuccessful expedition to conquer Arabia Petraea and even Arabia Felix. The Red Sea coast of Aegyptus was not brought under Roman control until the reign of Claudius. The third prefect, Gaius Petronius, cleared the neglected canals for irrigation, stimulating a revival of agriculture. Petronius even led a campaign into present-day central Sudan against the Kingdom of Kush at Meroe, whose queen Imanarenat had previously attacked Roman Egypt. Failing to acquire permanent gains, in 22 BC he razed the city of Napata to the ground and retreated to the north.
From the reign of Nero onward, Aegyptus enjoyed an era of prosperity which lasted a century. Much trouble was caused by religious conflicts between the Greeks and the Jews, particularly in Alexandria, which after the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 became the world centre of Jewish religion and culture. Under Trajan a Jewish revolt occurred, resulting in the suppression of the Jews of Alexandria and the loss of all their privileges, although they soon returned. Hadrian, who twice visited Aegyptus, founded Antinoöpolis in memory of his drowned lover Antinous. From his reign onward buildings in the Greco-Roman style were erected throughout the country.
Under Antoninus Pius oppressive taxation led to a revolt in 139, of the native Egyptians, which was suppressed only after several years of fighting. This Bucolic War, led by one Isidorus, caused great damage to the economy and marked the beginning of Egypt's economic decline. Avidius Cassius, who led the Roman forces in the war, declared himself emperor in 175, and was acknowledged by the armies of Syria and Aegyptus.
On the approach of Marcus Aurelius, Cassius was deposed and killed and the clemency of the emperor restored peace. A similar revolt broke out in 193, when Pescennius Niger was proclaimed emperor on the death of Pertinax. The Emperor Septimius Severus gave a constitution to Alexandria and the provincial capitals in 202.[clarification needed]
Caracalla (211–217) granted Roman citizenship to all Egyptians, in common with the other provincials, but this was mainly to extort more taxes, which grew increasingly onerous as the needs of the emperors for more revenue grew more desperate.
There was a series of revolts, both military and civilian, through the 3rd century. Under Decius, in 250, the Christians again suffered from persecution, but their religion continued to spread. The prefect of Aegyptus in 260, Mussius Aemilianus, first supported the Macriani, usurpers during the rule of Gallienus, and later, in 261, became a usurper himself, but was defeated by Gallienus.
Zenobia, queen of Palmyra, took the country away from the Romans when she conquered Aegyptus in 269, declaring herself the Queen of Egypt also. This warrior queen claimed that Egypt was an ancestral home of hers through a familial tie to Cleopatra VII. She was well educated and familiar with the culture of Egypt, its religion, and its language. She lost it later when the Roman emperor, Aurelian, severed amicable relations between the two countries and retook Egypt in 274—following an unsuccessful four-month siege of the defenses of Zenobia—and only by waiting until her food supplies became exhausted.
Two generals based in Aegyptus, Probus and Domitius Domitianus, led successful revolts and made themselves emperors. Diocletian captured Alexandria from Domitius in 298 and reorganised the whole province. His edict of 303 against the Christians began a new era of persecution. This was the last serious attempt to stem the steady growth of Christianity in Egypt, however.

Its conquest solidified Roman power in the Mediterranean.

Here you can find the map I used: https://forums.totalwar.com/discussion/68772/rome-ii-campaign-map-drawings-canomer
