Hayate(疾風) is a Japanese word which can mean "fresh breeze", although in that sense, it is usually pronounced as shippū(しっぷう). Hayate can also refer to:
Savage Reign(風雲黙示録 ～格闘創世～,Fūun Mokushiroku: Kakutou Sousei, lit. "Wind and Cloud Apocalypse: Hand-to-Hand Fighting Genesis") is a 1995 futuristic-themed competitive fighting game released by SNK for their Neo Geo arcade and home platform. It was ported to the Neo Geo CD, as well as for the PlayStation 2 along with its sequelKizuna Encounter in Japan only (as part of the Fūun Super Combo).
Plot
Savage Reign is set in the first half of the 21st century in the fictional city of South Town (the same city used in the Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting series), which has now been upgraded and renamed as Jipang City. A mysterious legendary fighter known only as King Leo has risen up from the shadows of secrecy and issued a challenge on television for the strongest of fighters to battle against him in a fighting tournament known as the Battle of the Beast God. He promises immense wealth beyond anyone's dreams and legendary fame beyond imagination. Nine fighters have come to the tournament, each with their own sole purpose and reason for battling against King Leo.
This table summarises every single combatant into the series. A green yes indicates that character is present into that version of the game as a playable character. A red no indicates that character has either not yet been introduced to the series, or is not present as a compatible character in any shape or form to that edition. A yellow message means that character is a NPC in that version. A gray question mark or other message means that this is an upcoming project and it is unknown to which information should be noted about that character.
EX series
The characters below are not canonical to the Street Fighter storyline. Arika, not Capcom, owns the characters and the copyright to them, and Capcom has acknowledged a difficulty in having them appear in future games. Producer Yoshinori Ono originally said that the possibility of them appearing in future titles had not been ruled out, stating that Capcom still has a good relationship with Arika, however he has since amended his stance stating that the chances of the characters coming back are very small.
Hayate(はやて) is a high-speed Shinkansen service operated on the Tohoku Shinkansen in Japan by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) since 2002. It operates as far as the northern terminus of Shin-Aomori, and it is the second-fastest service on the Tohoku Shinkansen, operating at a top speed of 275km/h (170mph) between Utsunomiya and Morioka. These services were inaugurated with the opening of the Tohoku Shinkansen extension to Hachinohe on 1 December 2002.
The name "Hayate" has not been used previously on any train service in Japan. The name was chosen with input from the public; roughly translated, it means a strong or violent wind; however, it carries positive connotations of speed and power.
Service pattern
From its introduction in 2002, the Hayate service used 10-car E2 Series Shinkansen units. With the opening of the Tohoku Shinkansen extension to the new northern terminus of Shin-Aomori from 4 December 2010, 15 return trips a day operating between Tokyo and Shin-Aomori, with one return trip between Sendai and Shin-Aomori and one return trip between Morioka and Shin-Aomori. The fastest service from Tokyo to Shin-Aomori is 3 hours 20 minutes.

Bass Armstrong(バース・アームストロング,Bāsu Āmusutorongu) is a retired professional wrestler and Tina's overprotective father. He is also the widower of Alicia Armstrong, who died of a disease when Tina was only six years old. He disapproves of Tina's aspirations of wanting to be a model (DOA2), a Hollywood actress (DOA3) and a rock star (DOA4). Consequently, he enters the DOA tournaments to put an end to her fame-seeking, only to fail at each attempt. In the fourth tournament, it is revealed that he intends to win so he would have enough money to enter the "Hyper Battle Grand Prix", which he then loses after seeing Tina's picture on a billboard and crashes into it after losing control of his bike. Like Tina in the English versions of the game, he, too, speaks with a Southern accent.
