Moments is the nineteenth studio album released by American country artist Barbara Mandrell. The album was released in August 1986 on MCA Records and was produced by Tom Collins. It would be her final studio release for the MCA label before switiching to EMI America Records in 1987.
Background
Moments was recorded in June 1986 in Nashville, Tennessee, two months before its official release.Moments contained ten tracks of newly recorded material. Mandrell's musical style and sound changed for the album, as most of its track had a significant traditional country music approach, as traditional musical styles were reentering country music. This was exemplified in such songs as the sixth track, "No One Mends a Broken Heart Like You". The album was issued as a LP album, with five songs contained on each side of the record. The album has not since been reissued on a compact disc.
Moments was not provided with any music reviews by critics including Allmusic.
"Moments" is a song written Sam Tate, Annie Tate and Dave Berg, and recorded by Canadian country music band Emerson Drive. It was released in November 2006 as the third single from the album Countrified. The song was a Top Five hit on the Canadian country music charts. It also reached Number One on the Billboard U.S. Hot Country Songs charts, becoming the first Number One single not only for the band, but also for their label. Midas Records Nashville. "Moments" was the most played country music song of 2007 in Canada.
Story
"Moments" is a ballad in which the narrator, a young man, plots to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge. While on the bridge, he notices an older, homeless man, to whom he gives money, figuring that he "wouldn't need it anyway". Upon receiving the money, the homeless man tells of his past, saying that he "hasn't always been this way", and that he has had his "Moments, days in the sun / Moments [he] was second to none". Upon hearing the story, the young man then ponders his own life, wondering if anyone will miss him, should he decide to take his own life. He remembers his own "Moments, days in the sun." The young man then walks away from the bridge, imagining the older man telling his friends about his moments, including "that cool night on the East Street bridge / When a young man almost ended it / I was right there, wasn't scared a bit / And I helped to pull him through".
M83 is the debut studio album by French electropop band M83, released on April 18, 2001 on Gooom. The album was reissued on September 6, 2005 on Mute Records for its North American release, and is thus sometimes referred to as 0905.
Produced by both M83 and Morgan Daguenet, the album is predominately instrumental, with dialogue samples from various films and television programmes appearing across the songs. The track titles, if read sequentially, form a short story.
Background and recording
Recorded as a duo by founding members, Anthony Gonzalez and Nicolas Fromageau, the album was recorded at Echotone, in the Autumn of 2000, with co-producer Morgan Daguenet. The track "Slowly", included on the album's 2005 reissue, was recorded two years later at the same location.
Track listing
All songs written and composed by M83.
Notes
The first few seconds of "Violet Tree" features a sample of audio from episode two of Serial Experiments Lain. A few seconds of opening dialogue from the same episode can be heard at the beginning of "Carresses".
M83 are a French electronic music band led by Anthony Gonzalez and currently based in Los Angeles, California, United States. Formed in 2001 in Antibes, France, the band initially was a duo featuring Nicolas Fromageau. They have released six albums and two soundtracks, including the Grammy Award-nominated Hurry Up, We're Dreaming.
Gonzalez and Fromageau parted ways shortly after touring for their second album Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts, with Gonzalez now recording primarily on his own, often with the help of his brother Yann Gonzalez, vocalist and keyboardist Morgan Kibby, and drummer Loïc Maurin. In 2011, Gonzalez posted an open audition on the M83 website for a multi-instrumentalist who could join the band. Nineteen-year-old Jordan Lawlor won the audition. Fromageau formed a new band in 2009 called Team Ghost and has released two albums to date.
Career
2001–05
Gonzalez first developed an interest in music while in high school. Together with Fromageau he formed a post-rock outfit called My Violent Wish. At the age of 17, Gonzalez bought a synth to record a demo, which he sent to a number of French labels. When Gooom Records appeared interested, he recruited Fromageau to "help me because I didn't feel like I had the shoulders to carry the project on my own". The band is named after the galaxy of the same name.
Sports(スポーツ,Supōtsu) is the fourth studio album by Japanese rock band Tokyo Jihen, released on February 24, 2010 in Japan through EMI Music Japan and Virgin Music. The album was produced by the band and Japanese recording engineer Uni Inoue.
On December 10, 2010, it was announced that "Sports" was named the iTunes Rewind 2010 Best Album of the Year in Japan.
Background
This is the first Tokyo Jihen album since 2007's Variety and vocalist Ringo Sheena made a comeback to a composer in the album. In 2008, Sheena focused on a string of releases to celebrate her 10th anniversary since her solo debut, such as a B-side collection, a singles box set and a string of concerts. In 2009, she released a new single, "Ariamaru Tomi", and an original album, Sanmon Gossip.
Recording and production
Tokyo Jihen wrote Sports feature the theme of sports as the title. Band members got together, each bringing some demos which they each created imaging sports. They built instrumentation from demos in the recording studio and Sheena put words on them other than Ukigumo's tracks.
KCSP AM is a class B regional station, with a broadcasting power of 5,000 Watts in both the daytime and nighttime, using a non-directional antenna (1 tower).
Although the station had the slogan "The Football Channel" when it began in June 2003, it is currently the flagship station of MLB's Kansas City Royals, whose rights it reacquired for the Entercom radio network in 2008 which had held the rights on KMBZ before. The Kansas Jayhawks radio network also appears on KCSP, which switched from covering the Missouri Tigers to Kansas in 2006, sending the Tigers broadcasts to KMBZ.
History
1922-1967 - WDAF (Full Service)
The Kansas City Star signed on experimental station 9XAB in 1922, licensed at 833kHz, as part of a rivalry with other newspapers in town. Popular Science magazine noted the station in its March 1922 issue for airing weather and market reports at 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and concerts in the evening. The Star adopted the WDAF call letters May 16, 1922. WDAF bounced around various frequencies, traveling to 750, 730, 680, 820 and 810kHz. WDAF moved to 610kHz in 1928, splitting time with station WOQ. WDAF joined the NBC radio network before moving to 610kHz, running both Red & Blue programs up until 1930, when they became a primary NBC Red affiliate.

Emerson Drive - moments
song lyrics:
I was coming to the end of a long long walk
When a man crawled out of a cardboard box
Under the E. Street Bridge
Followed me on to it
I went out halfway across
With that homeless shadow tagging along
So I dug for some change
Wouldn't need it anyway
He took it lookin' just a bit ashamed
He said, You know, I haven't always been this way
I've had my moments, days in the sun
Moments I was second to none
Moments when I knew I did what I thought I couldn't do
Like that plane ride coming home from the war
That summer my son was born
And memories like a coat so warm
A cold wind can't get through
Lookin' at me now you might not know it
But I've had my moments
I stood there tryin' to find my nerve
Wondering if a single soul on Earth
Would care at all
Miss me ...

Moments by Emerson Drive - Lyrics
This is a song that I listen to occasionally when I'm feeling down. The message is amazing and it gives me goosebumps haha. I don't own this song, just put the lyrics on it for those that want to know what the words are blah blah blah. I tried to do my best, any errors I apologize, I ain't perfect. I hope you like it nonetheless, and that it brings you happiness for the few minutes it runs. Have a great day!! ♥

But I've had my moments

Oh, lookin' at me now you might not know it
But I've had my moments

This is a song that I listen to occasionally when I'm feeling down. The message is amazing and it gives me goosebumps haha. I don't own this song, just put the lyrics on it for those that want to know what the words are blah blah blah. I tried to do my best, any errors I apologize, I ain't perfect. I hope you like it nonetheless, and that it brings you happiness for the few minutes it runs. Have a great day!! ♥
