When you think of Glasgow, the first thing that comes to mind is probably cold and rainy weather. But despite that, Scotland's largest city is a vibrant, cultural hub. It's a UNESCO City of Music, and has one of the best live music scenes in the UK.

There are so many things to see, like art in the streets in giant murals or art in great museums, especially at the Kelvingrove, as we'll show you later. The city center is alive with people in the streets and pedestrian lanes lined with shops and magnificent architecture.
Especially on Buchanan, the city's main street, famous for its vibrant atmosphere and rich history, dating back to 1777. Now it's the most modern and popular shopping street in the city. Just 700 meters long, easy to visit, but can keep you busy for hours, extending to the Concert Hall and Buchanan Galleries shopping mall. You will see much more of it later in the program, but now let's move over a block to George Square, the main plaza of the city.
This is the gathering place, surrounded by magnificent buildings and of course, several pubs. Our quick preview takes us by more outdoor eateries at the Royal Exchange Square and on to Gordon Street.

What are the pros and cons of living in Glasgow? Are you planning to stay in Glasgow, or are you thinking of moving out? If so, it's crucial to know the pros and cons of living in this Scottish city, so here's everything you need to know before making your decision.
Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland, with a population of over 600,000 people. The city is located on the River Clyde in the west of the country, and its port is one of the busiest in the UK. Its museums and art galleries are among the best in Europe. The city has a long history dating back to the Romans, who built a fort in the 2nd century AD. In medieval times, Glasgow was an important center for trade, and it became a royal burgh in 1611. Today, it is a vibrant, multicultural city with something to offer everyone. However, like all cities, it has its benefits and drawbacks.
In this video, we will look at some of Glasgow's main pros and cons to help you decide if it is the right place for you.
The Pros of Living in Glasgow
1. Friendly Locals
The people of Glasgow are known for their hospitality and willingness to help those new to the area. You'll find that the locals are more than happy to share their knowledge of the city and help you get settled in. In no time at all, you'll feel like you're part of the community. They also know how to have a good time, so you'll never be short of things to do or places to go. People with a good sense of humor will find adapting to life in Glasgow relatively simple. Glaswegians are also very proud of their city and are always keen to show it off to visitors. Whether you're looking for advice on where to eat or where to find the best shopping, the friendly locals of Glasgow will be more than happy to help.
2. It’s Beautiful
Glasgow is a truly stunning city. From the green spaces of the Glasgow parks to the stunning architecture of the buildings, there is always something new to explore. The river views are also simply breathtaking, and you can while away hours just taking in the scenery. If you're strolling Kelvingrove Park or admiring the Victorian façades of the buildings in Glasgow's West End, you'll fall in love with this city. It is a great place to live if you enjoy being outdoors and taking in the natural beauty of your surroundings. With so much to see and do, you'll never get bored!
3. Access to NHS
Glasgow is known for its high-quality healthcare, and the NHS is one of the main reasons why. The National Health Service provides free healthcare to all Glasgow residents, including access to a wide range of GP services, hospitals, and mental health services. It means that everyone in Glasgow has equal access to healthcare, regardless of income or social status. In addition, the NHS could provide fully funded access to medical care for foreign nationals, including doctor's appointments, prescriptions, and hospital visits. As a result, Glasgow is a great place to live since you can be sure that they will always be able to get the care you need.
4. Affordable Accommodation
In Glasgow, the cost of living is very reasonable, including accommodation. Rent prices are relatively low compared to other major cities in the United Kingdom. If you're on a budget, plenty of hostels and shared accommodation options are available.

We're in Glasgow, Scotland! We're exploring this amazing city in the UK. Starting out at the historic Glasgow Cathedral and Necropolis. We try some traditional Scottish food from a Chippie (Scotch Pie and deep fried Mars bar). We also visit the oldest pub in Glasgow called Scotia Bar. Later in the video we head to the trendy area of Glasgow, the West End where we try some local beer at Bookclub and walk along Ashton Lane.
