Pennsylvania is Pere Ubu's eleventh studio album. The album marks Tom Herman's return to Pere Ubu's studio work after a twenty-year absence.
Director's Cut
In 2005, to celebrate Pere Ubu's 30th Anniversary, a "Director's Cut" was released which featured new mastering, alternate mixes, and two bonus tracks. David Thomas explains: "The point of doing a Director's Cut is to benefit from that older and wiser thing. I reviewed all alternate mixes from the session, sometimes discovering that an earlier mix turned out to be superior to the chosen mix. As well, 10 years later, we have access to improved mastering technology. Consequently, there is a greater clarity and cohesion to the Director's Cut. We are not going to make both versions available. The Director's Cut is the way it's supposed to be. Period."
"Pennsylvania" is the official state song of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The song was written and composed by Eddie Khoury and Ronnie Bonner and serves as the official song for all public purposes. State Representative Frank L. Oliver introduced the bill for the song, and it was adopted by the General Assembly and signed into law by GovernorRobert P. Casey on November 29, 1990.

Gettysburg, Pennsylvania: The Battlefield, The Town, & the last stand
On today's episode of Randomland we visit the Battlefield of Gettysburg, the site of Pickett's charge and the defining Union Victory over the Confederates in the Eastern theater of the Civil War. The town that gave the name to the battle and the famous Abraham Lincoln Gettysburg Address has been visited by tourists and relic hunters since nearly the day after the battle, and although it's changed focus and emphasis from commemoration to entertainment to preservation, it contains bits of all of the above, a fantastic town worth visiting over and over, which I hope to do!

Spooky moment ghosts appear to run across Gettysburg field
A couple of spooky apparitions were caught on camera running across the road at what is widely believed to be one of the most haunted places in America. The spine-tingling footage was shot last week at the Gettysburg Civil War battle site in Pennsylvania. Greg Yuelling, 46, took the ghostly video as he was driving through the historic site on a visit with his family. The site of Gettysburg was where one of the most brutal and bloodiest battles of the American Civil War took place in 1863 as Union and Confederate fought. Up to 51,000 soldiers are thought to have died in the three-day long battle together with 5,000 horses.

Gettysburg hosts plenty of museums that celebrate its history. The Gettysburg Museum of History’s exhibits go from ancient times to the present. The Seminary Ridge Museum celebrates the first day of the battle of Gettysburg, and the Heritage Center gives you an interactive glimpse into it. You can also get a unique experience by visiting the diorama or seeing the cat soldiers at Civil War Trails.
Almost every building in Gettysburg still has scars from the war, and that includes several important historical houses. Visit Eisenhower’s only home outside of the White House or the David Wills House where Lincoln stayed while delivering the Gettysburg Address. See how the war impacted daily life at the Shriver family house or the home of the battle’s only civilian casualty, Jennie Wade.
Touring Gettysburg is one of the best ways to see everything it has to offer. Go on a ghost tour for a taste of the paranormal, the Savor Gettysburg Food Tour for a taste of its many wonderful restaurants, or the Adams County Pour Tour to sample some adult beverages. Gettysburg is an apple-picking haven, and you can taste the fruits of its orchards at Hollabaugh Bros. If you prefer something sweeter, go to Mr. Ed’s Elephant Museum or Mr. G’s Ice Cream. Downtown Gettysburg is perfect for shoppers and history buffs with its range of options for old buildings and unique shops.
Visit both the Sach’s and Liberty Mountain-covered bridges for a sight unlike any other. Go to Liberty Mountain resort if you’re in Gettysburg in the winter. Like and subscribe to ViewCation for more tips on visiting the sites of the most influential battles in the US. Watch our video to learn about the best things to do in Gettysburg, PA.

Gettysburg is a town in Pennsylvania. It is known for Gettysburg National Battlefield, the site of a turning point in the Civil War, now part of Gettysburg National Military Park. The park also includes the Gettysburg Museum and Visitors Center, displaying Civil War artifacts, and the Gettysburg National Cemetery, where a memorial marks the site of Abraham Lincoln's 1863 Gettysburg Address.
