A component may be replaced by another if and only if their provided and required interfaces are identical. This idea is the underpinning for the plug-and-play capability of component-based systems and promotes software reuse.
As can be seen from the above definition, UML places no restriction on the granularity of a component. Thus, a component may be as small as a figures-to-words converter, or as large as an entire document management system.
Larger pieces of a system's functionality may be assembled by reusing components as parts in an encompassing component or assembly of components, and wiring together their required and provided interfaces." Such assemblies are illustrated by means of component diagrams.
Component-based software engineering (CBSE) (also known as component-based development (CBD)) is a branch of software engineering that emphasizes the separation of concerns in respect of the wide-ranging functionality available throughout a given software system. It is a reuse-based approach to defining, implementing and composing loosely coupled independent components into systems. This practice aims to bring about an equally wide-ranging degree of benefits in both the short-term and the long-term for the software itself and for organizations that sponsor such software.
Software engineering practitioners regard components as part of the starting platform for service-orientation. Components play this role, for example, in web services, and more recently, in service-oriented architectures (SOA), whereby a component is converted by the web service into a service and subsequently inherits further characteristics beyond that of an ordinary component.
In graph theory, a connected component (or just component) of an undirected graph is a subgraph in which any two vertices are connected to each other by paths, and which is connected to no additional vertices in the supergraph. For example, the graph shown in the illustration on the right has three connected components. A vertex with no incident edges is itself a connected component. A graph that is itself connected has exactly one connected component, consisting of the whole graph.
An equivalence relation
An alternative way to define connected components involves the equivalence classes of an equivalence relation that is defined on the vertices of the graph.
In an undirected graph, a vertex v is reachable from a vertex u if there is a path from u to v. In this definition, a single vertex is counted as a path of length zero, and the same vertex may occur more than once within a path.
Reachability is an equivalence relation, since:
It is reflexive: There is a trivial path of length zero from any vertex to itself.
Complex is a New York-based media platform for youth culture which was founded as a bi-monthly magazine by fashion designer Marc Ecko.Complex reports on trends in style, pop culture, music, sports and sneakers with a focus on niche cultures such as streetwear, sneaker culture, hip-hop, and graphic art. Complex currently reaches over 120 million unique users per month across its owned and operated and partner sites, socials and YouTube channels.
Complex has won numerous accolades, including several from Business Insider such as Most Valuable Startups in New York and Most Valuable Private Companies in the World, as well as the Silicon Alley 100 for Complex CEO Rich Antoniello. In 2012, the company launched Complex TV, an online broadcasting platform that has won numerous awards and has found great success with original shows, such as Complex News, First Look music videos, Fashion Bros and Sneaker Shopping.
History
Complex was established in 2002 by the founder of the Ecko Unltd. brand, Marc Ecko, as a print magazine aimed at providing young males a report of the latest in hip-hop, fashion and pop culture without regard to race. The name Complex evolved from a slogan developed to promote the Ecko website: "Ecko.complex". The idea was to create a men's magazine that combined Ecko's streetwear and hip-hop attitude along with the style of Japanese men's magazines by providing consumer guides. This was achieved by creating a magazine in two sections: one traditional magazine, and the other a shopping guide.
Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Launch Complex 43
Launch Complex 43 (LC-43) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida was a launch complex used by American sounding rockets between 1962 and 1984. It supported 2,038 sounding rocket launches. In 1984, sounding rocket launches moved to LC-47, and LC-43 was demolished to make way for Launch Complex 46, which was built near the site.
The song was thought of by Sermon after buying a copy of Gaye's Midnight Love and the Sexual Healing Sessions album, which overlook some of the original album's earlier mixes. After listening to an outtake of Gaye's 1982 album track, "Turn On Some Music" (titled "I've Got My Music" in its initial version), Sermon decided to mix the vocals (done in a cappella) and add it into his own song. The result was similar to Natalie Cole's interpolation of her father, jazz great Nat "King" Cole's hit, "Unforgettable" revisioned as a duet. The hip hop and soul duet featuring the two veteran performers was released as the leading song of the soundtrack to the Martin Lawrence & Danny DeVito comedy, "What's the Worst That Could Happen?" The song became a runaway success rising to #2 on Billboard's R&B chart and was #1 on the rap charts. It also registered at #21 pop giving Sermon his highest-charted single on the pop charts as a solo artist and giving Gaye his first posthumous hit in 10 years following 1991's R&B-charted single, "My Last Chance" also bringing Gaye his 41st top 40 pop hit. There is also a version that's played on Adult R&B stations that removes Erick Sermon's rap verses. The song was featured in the 2011 Matthew McConaughey film The Lincoln Lawyer.
Music is the fourth album and first album on J Records by hip hop artist Erick Sermon. It was received well critically and commercially. Its success was fueled by its title track "Music" which sampled vocals from Marvin Gaye and in terms of chart position is Sermon's most popular song, peaking at #22, along with inclusion on the soundtrack of the Martin Lawrence/Danny DeVito film What's the Worst That Could Happen?; the music video for the song featured scenes from the film intermixed with clips of Gaye performing in archived music videos and music programs. "Music" propelled the album to reach #33 on The Billboard 200 chart making it Sermon's second most popular solo album.

UML is a powerful tool in the programmer’s toolkit.
If you can understand and use it properly, say, get in the habit of drawing your class diagram before you sit down and actually code your next e-commerce, gaming, financial, and whatnot project, time invested in drawing a succinct and clear UML diagram, will eventually pay off and can save your project from design flaws and other errors you might encounter without a proper plan in front of you.

What is a Component of a Graph? | Connected Components, Graph Theory
What is a component of a graph? Sometimes called connected components, some graphs have very distinct pieces that have no paths between each other, these 'pieces' or subgraphs, are called components, and we go over the definition of component in today's graph theory video lesson!
A component is a maximal connected subgraph. This means it is a connected subgraph that cannot be extended by including any other vertices and/or edges in the whole graph without losing its connectedness.
A connected graph has exactly one component, which is the graph itself. A disconnected graph has at least two components by definition.
I hope you find this video helpful, and be sure to ask any questions down in the comments!

Explaining Components of Graphs | Graph Theory
What are components of graphs? We'll be defining connected components in graph theory in today's lesson, with examples of components as well!
Check out my previous lesson explaining components: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6pKCP1W0dk
A component of a graph is a maximal connected subgraph. That is, a component of a graph G is a connected subgraph of G that is not a proper subgraph of any other connected subgraph of G. Thus, a component of G cannot be extended, while preserving connectedness, by including any other vertices and/or edges of G.

UML Component Diagram Cheat Sheet: http://goo.gl/Ybhhu
Welcome to my tutorial on UML 2.0 Component Diagrams! Blocks of code are set up as components to create reusable blocks of code. Component diagrams are then used to show how components are used to create software systems.
On top of covering every symbol associated with component diagrams I decided to also cover Composite Structures. They model how objects work together when a class diagram doesn't cut it. Also relationship arrows are covered again because of your requests.
Ave Coders!
And welcome to the UML course for beginners. We will look into the most widely used diagrams, their basic notation, and applications. Each diagram that we will study in this course will be supported with a practical example of a system or a situation that can be modeled with its help.

In this video, you will learn how to create a component diagram, a diagram that shows the high-level structure and organization of your software system. You will learn how to model components, interfaces, ports, connectors, dependencies, and stereotypes. You will also learn how to use component diagrams for various purposes such as modularization, reusability, deployment, and testing.

I usually put my own music in the outros, but I love Vallow's music, and wanted to share it with those of you watching. Please check out all of his wonderful work.
